00:15missed it over the last few weeks on this channel i've been discussing my personal top 20 notre

00:21dame players entering the 2025 season if you missed any of the previous episodes you can go

00:26back and listen 20 through 16 15 through 11 10 through 6 and then obviously today is the final

00:33countdown of those top 20 players let's start at number five where i have virginia transfer wide

00:40receiver malachi fields over 800 yards and over 50 receptions each of the last two years for the

00:46cavaliers despite playing on a pretty putrid passing offense six foot four 220 pounds he's expected to

00:53compete with jayden great house to be the number one receiver on this football team heading into

00:582025 very excited we haven't had a true boundary presence like malachi fields in some time he comes

01:05in at number five despite not even wearing the blue and gold quite yet number four we have a don schuler

01:11star safety returning despite being a little bit overshadowed by xavier watts and the greatness that

01:16he brought this past year in the first year as a starter for a don schuler he recorded 59 total tackles

01:22three interceptions and eight pass breakups i expect him although playing his same boundary

01:28position most likely safety position heading into 2025 i expect him to take on the presence of a

01:35leader on the back end now that xavier watts and benjamin morrison are gone him along with christian

01:40gray and leonard moore as well as a trio maybe quartets of safeties opposite him are going to make one of

01:49the more dynamic secondaries in all of college football in 2025 let's talk number three here's a

01:56little bit of a controversial take i guess probably the highest that some people were going to have

02:00this player but i have jayden great house at number three and this might be me reactionary slightly

02:07based upon the last two games of season obviously had 13 receptions over 230 yards and three touchdowns

02:12in his final two games of the season versus penn state in ohio state but ultimately i am all the way

02:18bought in on jayden great house potentially being the number one receiver for this team because i think

02:22overall the presence of malachi fields is going to give jayden great house a whole lot more space to

02:27occupy from his slot position in the middle of the field and i think that he is going to take that

02:30momentum and continuously build upon it going into the fall six foot one 210 pounds can play inside and

02:37out a little bit but i love him in that slot position we saw him matched up against some great

02:41defensive backs the last couple weeks of the season and he showcased that his talent is among the best in

02:47all of college football when he is targeted so i'm excited to see jayden great house continue that

02:52breakout coming up this season number two leonard moore freshman all-american cornerback this is a i

02:58mean just think about this this time last year people were just talking about leonard moore as

03:03talented upside cornerback who wasn't going to be here until the summer but just one year later we're

03:09talking about him potentially being the best cornerback in all of college football coming off of his

03:13freshman all-american season and he had an argument to potentially being the top overall player on this

03:19list and he's number one defensive player for this list not to put the cat out of the bag i think most

03:23people know what's coming next though but 6'2 200 pounds really athletic kid who can play both field

03:29or boundary depending on how you want to utilize him he'll tackle in the run game but the ability that

03:33he has to change direction as a taller cornerback is some pretty special stuff so leonard moore comes in at

03:39number two which means number one no surprise jeremiah love over 1100 yards last year starting

03:45running back for notre dame 17 touchdowns he had a run where he showed him showcase that he is one of

03:51the most dynamic talents in all of college football and he is the favorite to be the top running back

03:56in the country entering the season and an early favorite to be the first running back selected in

04:00the 2026 nfl draft six foot 214 pounds can catch the football out of the backfield dynamic runner

04:07stronger than he looks and some really determined run last season i expect with a few extra pounds

04:12on his frame this fall we're going to see power profile even take another step forward so number

04:18one jeremiah love running back junior entering a huge campaign to solidify his legendary status

04:26hopefully for the fighting irish folks there you have it the whole list want to focus on five through
