A viral protest video has the internet buzzing after fans mistook the passionate speaker for Marvel star Wyatt Russell. The clip, which shows a man calling out the deployment of National Guard troops in L.A., was shared widely on X with captions praising “Kurt Russell’s son” for “nailing it.” But according to Russell’s team, that’s not him—it's actually local activist Aaron Fisher, whose fiery TikTok speech is now grabbing national attention.

The protests began after ICE raids in L.A. on June 6 and quickly escalated, prompting President Trump to send 2,000 National Guard troops to the area. Tensions flared even more when Trump floated invoking the Insurrection Act and suggested arresting California Governor Gavin Newsom, who clapped back on X with a defiant “Come and get me, tough guy.” While Russell has stayed quiet, Fisher says he finds the mix-up funny—and he’s just glad the message is being heard.

00:00A viral protest video had fans convinced a Marvel star was speaking out, but the actor says it's not
00:05him, leaving the internet asking, who is the man behind the mic? In a viral video making its rounds
00:11on X, a man can be seen speaking out against the deployment of National Guard troops in LA,
00:17and the video is captioned, wow, Kurt Russell's son Wyatt just nailed it, listen to every word.
00:23The problem, according to a representative of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn's son,
00:27it's not Wyatt in the video. Parade.com states, the man in the video has been identified as Aaron
00:34Fisher, and the video, which was originally posted on TikTok, shows Fisher speaking to authorities,
00:39asking them to think about what they are doing. I am sick and tired of it. You think any of these
00:46people in the White House sending you these commands give a f*** about you? Think about
00:51your place in history, ladies and gentlemen. Reports state small protests kicked off over
00:57immigration raids in Los Angeles that started on June 6th. By the next day, the protest has grown
01:02larger, and the nearby town of Paramount amid rumors of more raids. This led President Trump to deploy
01:082,000 National Guard troops to the area on the evening of the 7th. And that night, clashes escalated
01:15as protesters threw objects at officers, prompting police to declare parts of downtown LA an unlawful
01:21assembly and forcibly clear the area. As of today, Newsweek reports, President Trump has mentioned
01:27invoking the Insurrection Act. As the president stated, if there's an insurrection, I would
01:32certainly invoke it. We'll see. But I can tell you, last night was terrible, and the night before that
01:38was terrible. The news comes as tension grows between the Trump administration and California
01:42leaders. Earlier this week, President Trump reportedly suggested that California Governor Gavin Newsom
01:48should be arrested, intensifying their ongoing feud following several days of protest over ICE
01:54arrests in Los Angeles. In response, the Democratic governor fired back on X and wrote,
02:00Trump's border czar is threatening to arrest me for speaking out. Come and get me, tough guy.
02:05It won't stop me for standing up for California. As for the Captain America star, he has not spoken
02:11out on the mix-up, but representatives are working to correct the misinformation. As for Fisher,
02:17he told Entertainment Weekly he found the mix-up pretty humorous and was glad it helped amplify
02:22the message. And it appears most comments are in support of Fisher's now viral speech.
02:28One ex-user wrote,
02:29As an Army National Guard veteran whose oath never expires, I approve this message.
02:34While another stated,
02:36Trump is uniting us in a way that I don't think people thought would happen.
