00:00As part of the consultation it will outline one of the options in place to
00:03deal with the relationship with the A6 and I understand there's been concerns
00:07raised about that. Essentially there is consideration that could be given as
00:11part of the consultation responses that we have prioritised remediation of the
00:14area close to where the A6 is meant to run and I think it's important that that
00:19is considered in the consultation on the time ahead. I understand the concerns in
00:24relation to phase two of the A6 and the importance that would have for the
00:27north-west and that's why we're considering it as part of the
00:29consultation. Thank you Minister. I call to Eclan McAleer. Thank you Minister for his
00:39statement. Minister, we've heard certainly on television that there's vast
00:42quantities of money being mentioned but the Department at some stage
00:46considering the proceeds of crime. Thank you Declan and that's one of the things
00:52that's a significant concern for the general public in terms of any
00:57profits that were made out of this and that's in terms of response I outlined to
01:01Robbie that we will now move towards proceeds of crime proceedings in regards
01:05to this. Thank you Minister. I call Dabra Erskine. I thank the Minister for his
01:11statement and share the concerns that there are around this. Obviously I want to
01:16look at it from a roads point of view. Roads infrastructure is really important
01:19for the north-west in terms of opening it up and the delay of phase two of the A6. I just
01:26want to check with the Minister what detailed discussions he is having with
01:30the Minister for infrastructure at this moment in time. I know he's waiting for
01:34consultation but what detailed discussions are happening between the two
01:37departments on this road infrastructure project? Minister. So the Department of
01:42Infrastructure will have an opportunity to engage as part of the
01:44consultation on the remediation associated with this and as you have
01:48outlined phase two of the A6 Derry did on given dual carriageway project
01:52extends from Drummahoe to the A2 call roundabout. Part of the works will
01:56encroach on the Maboys site and my officials are working closely with DFI
02:00roads colleagues to ensure an integrated approach so the projects are
02:03coordinated and can progress efficiently. My officials are continuing to work
02:07through the land contamination risk management guidance and the next step is
02:11this public consultation. This is an important step and my officials will
02:14continue to engage with DFI road colleagues as this progresses. This is an
02:19important moment in terms of starting the consultation. I'm very keen that we run
02:22through the consultation in 16 weeks to bring the responses back and then we'll
02:26have to consider the way forward and I am getting very clearly the
02:29communication about this site should not be holding up phase two of the A6.
02:33We'll have to consider in terms of prioritisation where that fits in
02:36terms of the costs associated with it to get the importance of this to the
02:39Northwest.
