00:08According to Chile's private electricity company Enel, a failure outside its system
00:13was responsible for the incident which left at least seven communities without power.
00:20Investigations are underway to determine the causes of the outage while efforts are being
00:23made to restore the services to the affected areas.
00:33Chilean social, territorial and humanitarian organizations asked the government Monday to
00:38speed up the investigations into the disappearance seven months ago of Mabucha leader Julia Xunil.
00:44The organization's representatives gathered outside the Regional Prosecutor's Office of
00:49Los Rios in Valdivia to demand justice and more attention to Xunil's case.
00:55The relatives of the missing Mabucha leader thanked the organization for their support and pointed
01:00out that they have been victims of harassment referring to the nation's justice system as
01:05class biased and inoperative.
01:09The 73-year-old indigenous leader disappeared on November 8, 2024.
01:14Her village neighbors described her as a loyal defender of the environment and her community.
