00:02You are given a new name that befits your personality and your relationship in that setting.

00:07Let's say your name is Satya Narayan.

00:10Now this is quite a misfit.

00:11So they will give you a new name.

00:13A new name that is truer to your personality.

00:16Apna naam bolo.

00:17Carlos.

00:18Carlos ho gaya to polis me jau na bhai.

00:20Ham ya tuchha kaam nahi karte yaar.

00:22Satya Narayan.

00:23That name was given to you when you were like three months old.

00:25And there is no Satya and no Narayan in your personality.

00:29Not at all.

00:29So your hostel mate will address you through something that more truly represents who you are.

00:34It's a Gucci or something.

00:35And that's I suppose quite nice and quite just.

00:38And also the names should keep evolving over time.

00:41You are not the person today you are five years back.

00:44So today you deserve a new name.

00:45It's a beautiful thing and it would liven and lighten up our lives a bit if we adopt this practice.
