00:00It's not that the man in the village leading a slow life is virtuous.
00:05He is just deprived of opportunity.
00:08In fact, he might be as full of greed and ambition and aspiration and violence as anybody else
00:15and given a chance, he might shortchange you in the worst way possible.
00:19So it's not really necessary that if somebody is poor or slow,
00:24then that points at virtuosity.
00:26No way.
00:27But we have been somewhere taught to think like that.
00:31That there is a certain virtue in poverty.
00:33In India, we often refer to the poor as Daridra and Narayan.
00:37Daridra means poor and Narayan means God.
00:40Why?
00:40Give him a chance.
00:42Just give him a chance and he'll show you what he's capable of.
00:44He too is running the same race, just that he's a laggard.
00:47It's not that he has willingly opted out of the race.
00:51He is in the same race, just that he is not able to run that race properly.
00:56That's why he's been left behind.
00:57That's why he's been left behind.
