00:00Look, Dana, we have a president who is moving this country rapidly into authoritarianism.
00:08He is suing media who criticizes him.
00:11He is going after law firms who have clients who were against him.
00:16He's going after universities that teach courses that he doesn't like.
00:20He's threatening to impeach judges who rule against him, and he's usurping the powers
00:26of the United States Congress.
00:27This guy wants all of the power.
00:30He does not believe in the Constitution.
00:33He does not believe in the rule of law.
00:36My understanding is that the governor of California, the mayor of the city of Los Angeles, did not
00:42request the National Guard, but he thinks he has a right to do anything he wants.
00:48And I would say that, to a large degree, the future of this country rests with a small number
00:53of Republicans in the House and Senate who know better, who do know what the Constitution
01:00is about.
01:01And it's high time they stood up for our Constitution and the rule of law.
01:06You know, we just celebrated a few days ago, June 6th, the American landing at Normandy, which
01:16began the invasion of Europe to defeat fascism and Nazism.
01:22Those guys died.
01:24They gave up their lives to defend democracy, not to have an all-powerful ruler in the United
01:31States of America.
