Angel Aerial Systems has unveiled the Trio Alpha One, a cutting-edge modular drone that introduces a groundbreaking flight concept based on rotational dynamics.

Nicknamed the “wind turbine mode,” the system allows the entire structure of the drone to rotate around a vertical axis, generating lift through incoming airflow — an approach inspired by gyrocopters and autogyros.

This innovation enables the Trio to hover for up to two hours with extremely low energy consumption, far exceeding the typical operational times of most conventional drones. This makes it ideal for long-duration missions, such as surveillance, patrolling, perimeter protection, and monitoring in challenging environments.

Weighing just 3.5 kg, the Trio is made of carbon fiber, ensuring both durability and lightness. Its removable arms allow for easy assembly and transport. Sensor-wise, the drone is equipped with a 20x optical zoom camera, thermal imaging, collision-avoidance system, and autonomous takeoff and landing module — features that make it a powerful tool for professional applications.

With the Trio Alpha One, Angel Aerial Systems ushers in a new era of unmanned flight engineering, delivering energy efficiency, structural robustness, and operational versatility in a single high-performance platform.
