01:52Tom Bial because it's clearly these guys are once you lose that toe is hard to make it
01:56They make that time back up and Joe had a terrible first moto considering how he's been all year long
02:01So he's gonna want to get that toe and get back up with hate not lose too many points

03:13We've seen and we've mentioned his name. So that's good to see the younger young talent Casey up here. He's challenging Shimoda James
03:21Yeah, Joe is gonna have to pick up the pace can have no average Joe rods today. He's gonna get it
03:26He's got to get it going. Otherwise, Casey's coming up around him as well

03:33With four second place finishes moto one a bad start was just able to get it into the top ten

03:44But this thing might be breaking down to high miss versus Deegan
03:48Yeah, what we notice in all the motos is that they gap even in the top five once these guys lose that toe
03:54I mean we're talking not 10 15 seconds. We're talking 30 40 seconds that these guys are are losing
04:00So it just shows you how difficult this track is once you you lose the toe with the guy in front of you

08:3421 29 20 19 and he was 20th earlier today
08:39And now he's in sixth and when you just go back a week ago lance colbush
08:44Leading laps throwing peace signs out there
08:47So it just shows you what a star can do for these guys and again
08:50They're all so close and talented it really just comes down to believe the separation and this is what we needed to see for these guys
09:00Meanwhile, no change up front chance time is holding hayden vegan at bay three second gap
09:06So you watch these kawasaki riders battling it's master pool kitchen
09:117th and 8th right now we'll use that for our rocky mountain team update here
09:18Monster pro circuit kawasaki the most wins of any team in this 250 class 305 wins
09:24Squad started back in 1991. They're actually a honda team back then mitch payton in the pro circuit unit moved to kawasaki in
09:321993 and you see all the championships they have won
09:35But it's been a while
09:382019 with adam steve scurlow the last time they won this one and they're riding well in this moto
09:44But as good as it is it's still just seventh and eighth master pool kitchen and
09:49Garrett marchbanks who is third their other teammate the first moto is 18th right now
09:55Yeah, you got drew adams in 11th
09:57So you know one thing that makes this track really difficult is that when you when you get past
10:03You lose a little bit of that time and it's so easy to make a mistake and for these guys like avery
10:09Once you get around these guys for them to come back and pass you is taking a lot of chances
10:14And I think that's why you see guys as we're going to watch time at school get on the outside and get down towards in
10:19But it almost like it's easy to stay where you are as long as you beat the guys
10:24We're watching jet loran beat the guy to the next corner
10:26These guys are going to have to try really hard and it's easy to make a lot of mistakes
10:30So for guys like avery long he can finish up here
10:33He can continue going as I say that come on avery i'm hooking you up
10:37I'm saying it's easy and you let levi open the kitchen up on you. So
10:42Still a good ride by him and master pool got by as well. Yes, so that'll push long back to I think eighth now
10:49And master pool and kitchen continue their battle
10:52Yeah, so my whole point was just how difficult this racetrack is we've seen a lot of mistakes
10:56For a lot of these guys just because how deep these ruts are to make a pass on this racetrack is easy to make a lot of mistakes
11:04Which means if you don't get it done you lose that so that much time
11:08So having a three second lead here makes it really difficult for the guy to really try to make up a lot of time
11:13By going a lot faster because it's clearly they can catch you
11:16But trying to get around here is a whole different story with these long ruts and you're just seeing mistakes after mistakes all day long
11:21And i think that's why these guys are so separated between the leaders and these guys
11:26Well, that's a story up front too because hymas continues with the three second gap over deegan
11:31But i'll tell you i feel like they've been out here for a while it's only 11 minutes into a 30-minute moto
11:38Lots of time for deegan to try to lock it down and he has taken it to two and a half seconds
11:43While the pro circuit boys keep battling
11:45Let's see if levi
11:49You know you can see ty kind of sitting up a little bit
11:52He's not going to try to fight him too much until you realize as his teammate then you're going to have to fight him but
11:58Definitely not moving forward like he was at first moto for a little while
12:03Wheel to wheel over the finish kitchen gets it done

12:13That looked like road racing there hitting the front stretch side by side
12:20So kitchen is now sixth shout out again to casey cochran who has left them behind at least for the moment about three seconds up the track
12:30Cochran let's see if he can finish it this time though he was very quick early in the motos last week
12:36Can he get it to the end it actually ended up being a season best 11th as you see cochran last week in a moto at high tone
12:44Yes, right now that'd be a huge improvement now that'd be a huge improvement
12:47And again, I think the consistency of what we're watching with casey every week
12:51We're talking about him because he's he's up front. He's closer up front
12:54So no matter of top five, you know, he continues to do this then those top five
12:59It's avery long
13:02Looks like some bike issues. So that's what it was. It wasn't Avery. He was having some bike problems, so
13:08Can't say so much just
13:10Elevation and heart heart how hard these guys are pushing it. It's easy to happen
13:14We just saw the same thing happening. Hey deacon about an hour and a half ago. That's true
13:19Well much like we said about cochran last week. He didn't get the result, but he showed speed
13:24That really applies for avery long as well. I was there. I was top five until the bike let me down. That's that's all you're gonna say
13:32Battle still raging here between shimoda and vl shimoda down third vl back to fourth
13:39And it leads to this question
13:42Does deacon have something up his sleeve for the second half of the race to go after highness? Send it to will
13:49Thank you jason. I'm already curious what we were going to see him change in this moto after we saw the mechanical issues there in the first one
13:56We're just talking to this mechanic brent dumpy. I said have you told him to sort of look after the bike as such as mojo?

14:03He's like mechanically what he called it is we've taken a precaution mechanically
14:07His instructions were go out and do you go out and ride how you normally do don't worry about the bike
14:13It's gonna make it and he just told me wait for about 10 laps to go. We're gonna see him stop the push
14:18Well, thank you. Uh, he might need to worry about those track markers
14:21He was right on the inside of that one at the top of the hill jt
14:23uh, just watching hayden deacon here
14:26He kind of feels stuck in second place the track position has been so important regardless if it's 250 class or 450 class
14:33And I want to circle back to that update we had right before the start of the moto about those gate positions
14:38And would that outside positioning work well right now?
14:42There are three or two four and five so I would say it was the right move little unorthodox but it certainly paid off
14:49Yeah, we might be able to point that out uh james as they hook back onto the start the next lap around
14:53Why those outside gates actually work?
14:55So they're drag racing up the hill they hook back on
14:59Deegan had taken it down to two and a half 2.7 now. It's 3.2
15:03Yeah, and that's what I was mentioning earlier when we were showing uh, time as crew and levi kitchen
15:08You know hayden's able to close in on on chance and you're going to see these these lap times
15:13You know fluctuate, but he's got to make up that time
15:16But making that time you got to go faster
15:18And it's just so easy to make a mistake and once you do that you just lose so much time
15:22So this little gap that chance hymens has it might as well be five or you know
15:27Eight seconds on a normal race because of the chance that hayden has to take to to to catch him
15:32We've been watching them all day long in the 450 class time after time
15:36Guys will make that time and then they'll get there and they'll make a mistake
15:39And it's just so easy to happen how difficult this racetrack is look up. I mean look at all these rubs
15:44It's quite a few and the tracks are looking to get rougher in the second half of the moto
15:50We'll remind you that monster energy is available now at maverick
15:55vial has reason
15:57To keep charging after shimoda they're actually tied in points of the day shimoda is going to
16:03Uh actually sorry, no vial is one point ahead of shimoda for a third overall
16:09And shimoda wants to keep that streak going a podium to start the year
16:17So right now shimoda is going to need to have something happen. He needs someone to catch vial
16:22Or he needs to catch deacon but deacon and hymens have built up a huge gap
16:25They have been the class of the field today. Yeah, we've been watching these gaps
16:31As i said earlier that you get the leaders and in the top the guys who are battling for up front and then 30 seconds
16:37you know 40 seconds to the other guys and
16:40Just really hard to keep that flow going if you're not chasing the rabbit in front of you
16:44It's coming undone now for masterpool. It was a little sick coming into the race
16:48Better than he felt last week, but not good enough now to hold off max boland on that club of x
16:53Muck off yamaha the 92 has taken over seven good to see max we haven't talked about him in a couple weeks, so

17:02With the big change and you know using a handbrake out here
17:06I know that's been a difficult thing to get used to but max has done a phenomenal job
17:10To to learn how to ride basically re-ride a motorcycle and um, you know
17:15Use that handbrake instead of a normal traditional footbrake and
17:19Really cool to watch these guys come out here and battle and good to see max up front
17:22Yeah riding well putting masterpool behind him mozeman is knight and meneer again in his pro debut is running in 10th
17:36You hear these guys laboring these corners
17:41Yeah, really excited to see that caden meneer yeah graduate his first pro race from the
17:48Next program last week and he was racing that won both motos and now he's out here racing these guys
17:53And I do believe the if he can continue we're gonna see that kid up in the top five because that kid has some talent
17:59This track might not show how good he's actually riding because how difficult this race track is and how time
18:04There's an essence in track positions the next and um
18:09But top 10 so far yeah, well done another australian by the way meneer
18:14Intent good check in with chance heinous who is now pulling away from digging it's now 4.2 seconds
18:22It's an impressive ride for the 10 but still 12 minutes and two laps to go
18:26The check-in with the fly racing riders and that includes heinous with the fly racing gear
18:33Companies based in idaho they have backed the idaho-based heinous for a long time
18:38Cochran is fifth also wearing fly schwartz 12th de francisco 13th parker cross

19:01He's just been having a hard time finishing it with some crashes here and there
19:04So michael's been doing what he's been doing all year long and ties as you just mentioned early
19:09He's definitely starting to feel it from the sickness or whatever is going on but definitely going along

19:48And he's charging after bowling these 250 classes just relentless. Yeah, no matter how far back you go. There's another battle

19:58On the same team they all wear the same gear so
20:00Excuse me sometimes i'm like pausing trying to figure out which number these guys are but they
20:04They kind of rock the same they look the same and
20:09I think march banks might be a lap down we have him in 30 50 was hovering around getting close to the top 10
20:16But he must have gone down you saw the number plate dangling he's still going
20:20But he's way back now man. What a tough break for march banks who was third in the first moto
20:24Bozeman attacking these fronts here on the 93
20:30Yeah, i've been actually really impressed with michael so far is out there season i mean i know the results haven't
20:36Been what he wanted but he's been riding really good. He just i mean if he finished his thing off he had a couple top five so
20:42He'd keep this thing up that'd be nice and it's down
20:46Deegan has crashed back up
20:49And i was just looking at the lap times he actually closed it down within two seconds and as soon as we've been talking about all day long
20:55Once those guys get there just him pushing it he can close the gap but passing somebody's a whole different and that mistake caught him out
21:02We've seen a few of them so far today where he's been near misses that one seems like he caught him out
21:07Well eli tomac really articulated that on the podium he admitted that he rushed a corner because he knew his best passing opportunity
21:14Was on the horizon yeah but you know what hayden that's my fault i wasn't able to get you good keys to the race
21:19Before it is and my key patient so you know you can't i'm not gonna blame you
21:25Oh there they are well done there we go so it was track conditions and you have to have a plan and be patient we heard eli
21:32Said he rushed it in and it's hard it's hard to do it's really easy to do in the sense of you know
21:37Once you get all excited catch him in and we saw what happened with eli tomac in that 450 class any chance
21:43You get close to jet large you're going to take it and i believe hayden deegan
21:47Yep he closed that gap
21:49Starts losing their front end now there's two runs right there and it looks like he was trying to get to the inside
21:53But the back tire was over it and
21:56We've seen hayden do that a few times today where he's losing the front end goes off the racetrack and that might have cost him his first
22:02Overall victory of the day but all that being said it's all caused because of what we're watching um what chance hyges is doing out front
22:14So deegan now 8.3 seconds back is that it
22:19And under normal circumstances i'd say yeah it's over but you just never know with how relentless this guy is
22:25And he looks like he's still pushing the pace yeah that was beautiful that little hopped over so yeah
22:31It's maybe not over chance goes in every conservative mode we see how quickly things can change up this racetrack
22:37A couple other battles here you got jordan smith on the triumph of the 19 rider de francisco and there's kate meneer
22:44Pro debut today after as you mentioned going 1-1 last week in smx next
22:49So that is the end of his amateur career with those smx next combine races he told me yesterday
22:56He still might race the loretta lens amateur national by monster energy in august but i have a feeling if he keeps riding like this
23:04That might not happen yeah people keep an eye on this kid remember this name this kid
23:10Good this kid's gonna be really good and like i said the track how difficult this racetrack is i mean right now
23:16He's in 11th place but he's riding good especially on this track he might want to go back to the next program
23:22How he'd be like man if this is what i got to deal with every single weekend i don't want it but luckily for him
23:27He has an opportunity just like last week in the hangtown our our next program gives these riders an opportunity on a supercross track and a motocross track so
23:36Might be his first race but he's kind of familiar to these settings and that's what's so cool about that whole program and it's showing out
23:42Right now a couple years ago hayden deegan was in the same program that's right and now look where he's at
23:47Yep hi miss as well here's something interesting
23:50It's the next generation of australians so the lawrences are quite young you would think but i asked kade meneer did you really see them when you were growing
23:57Up but he said their last race in australia is 2015 he was seven years old
24:02So we have a whole nother wave they were long gone they went to europe they came to the united states
24:07And he and cole davies his teammate who's out injured right now from new zealand they grew up racing against each other
24:14So a whole nother group
24:16Coming to the united states and making names for themselves now yeah
24:19But they happen to be on that star racing yamaha they got a factory of babies out there full talent
24:25Yeah shout out to cole davies he was going to be one of these guys that i
24:28I thought was going to give hayden deegan um some fits in this but
24:31Injury at our last supercross but he's going to be up here just like his teammate
24:35Anytime you can make jet lawrence seem like he's old these kids are young so i have to tell you right there look at this dylan schwartz
24:45Aggressive around masterpool on the toyota of redlands
24:49bar x yamaha you know i i know the 450 is the top notch of the class but man i can tell you one thing when
24:55You start going backwards in the 250 class it's relentless these guys continue and you can turn a top 10 to outside
25:04Not even scoring points because they're always somebody coming somebody's always coming and you see dylan schwartz
25:09Just making his way up
25:11That's what this guy does jt and i were talking about it this week
25:15He definitely doesn't get tired you never see schwartz up there early in the moto he got as high as sixth in moto one
25:21But he is something special down the stretch you don't always realize you look at the end of the day the results
25:26You're like oh another solid ride for dylan schwartz it's happening again he's in ninth yeah
25:31Well we're going to highlight it i mean he started what 12th on the first lap and then i saw a highlight
25:36He was in 20th at some point so he went down but dylan making his way back up into ninth place right now
25:42Right or at alpine california oh this is going to be interesting kitchen has caught vial
25:51That that might push vial off the overall podium he has that one point bulge over
25:59shimoda
26:00Kitchen has come a long way to get to him
26:04And he might have the pass here james he does he has the pass tom's starting to sit up as well
26:09I mean it's a frustrating so far motocross year for tom vial and i thought it started off pretty solid
26:15I mean at paulie he was up there and then just things crashes
26:19He's another title contender and when things aren't going right it's just hard to stay motivated
26:23You can see that with tom he's starting to labor
26:26And the kitchen's open for business he's moving his way on as quickly as he was there he's gone now
26:31Wow so that's going to push shimoda to third overall because it costs vial
26:41One more position bottom box tracking the leader time running out for deegan to try to mount a last ditch effort
26:49I don't even know if he's going to try here might just say the points are good enough today
26:54It's tough to say with the hard charger like deegan but chance heinous answering a lot of questions today
26:59Yeah, well chance is in a tough position because he's at this point. He knows he's got about five laps left
27:05He's almost trying to just milk this thing in when you got hayden deegan probably upset after that first moto
27:11And as i mentioned in that first moto the last guy on this track out of anyone that hayden deegan wants to have confidence

27:19So he might put a charge in in the last lap hayden deegan was the second and a half almost two seconds faster than chance heinous

28:22Joe's probably like I thought we were friend levi. I thought we were friends. Will
28:27Joe shibota would obviously very much like to hang on to this third overall there and be on the podium
28:32For the first three rounds of the season is an extremely strong start
28:36It may have surprised some but talking to his mechanic Ben Griffith
28:40It has not surprised them and he said joe's really kind of tightened up in his inner circle this year
28:45He said let's look back at the beginning of supercross. He won anaheim one
28:49He got injured and broke his finger at the second round
28:52So he said really he was set up to do this then to start strong in the season
28:56When I asked him kind of what they've changed to achieve that
28:59He said this has just kind of been a case of
29:02Just narrowing everything down for joe keeping it simple. We don't look at the whole season
29:06We look at weekend to weekend. He said even when it comes to messages on his pit boys
29:10It's like I tell him about the guy in front of me or the situation in front of him
29:13So it's just about sort of narrowing that viewpoint down to joe
29:17We've seen him with a very strong start 2-2 2-2 through the first few rounds and we'd obviously like I said like to hang on to this one too
