00:01Protesters from left-wing parties gathered in Madrid on Saturday to oppose Prime Minister Sanchez's rearmament plan for Spain.
00:10Participants from political parties Podemos, Izquierda Unida and Sumar joined forces to march against the proposal to increase defence spending from 2% to 5% GDP.
00:22However, according to a March survey by the Centre for Sociological Research, 75% of Spaniards are in favour of increasing military spending.

00:45The protest comes ahead of the NATO summit taking place in The Hague later this month.
00:49On the same day, Unarmed Forces Day parades attended by King Philip VI and Queen Letizia took place in Tenerife.
