00:00Under the blazing sun of Saudi desert, Muslim pilgrims gather Thursday at Mount Arafat
00:06for one of the most significant rituals of the arch pilgrimage.
00:11With temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius, many sought strength in prayer and resilience in faith.
00:19The heat is affecting the elderly pilgrims, and not the young.
00:24Elderly pilgrims are getting fatigued because of the heat.
00:27Some are not coming out due to the high temperature, and they cannot walk long distances.
00:33While the young pilgrims are not affected by the high temperature and can walk and move, it doesn't affect them a lot.
00:41To ease the heat, authorities installed large fans and sprayed cool mist,
00:45but for others, spiritual devotion, overweight, physical discomfort.
00:51Alhamdulillah, the heat is much, but after praying,
00:54the day of Arafat, considered the holiest day in Islam, is a moment of intense prayer and reflection.
