00:00Bill Burr throws serious shade at 90s rock icon.
00:06The comedian revealed he's not a fan of one classic Seattle grunge band.
00:11If there's one thing Bill Burr is known for, it's giving his unfiltered opinion on absolutely anything and everything.
00:18He's made a career out of complaining, with multiple Netflix comedy specials under his belt.
00:24In an April appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the F is for Family star ranted and raved about a variety of things,
00:32from the Yankees to heart attacks to his distaste for one particular 90s rock band.
00:38During the interview, Meyers brought up an altercation he witnessed at the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary concert between Burr and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder.
00:49Did you mend fences with him? The former Weekend Update host asked.
00:54It seemed like a one-sided issue you had with him.
00:57Pearl Jam was the band that made me realize my youth was over, Burr explained.
01:03After growing up with over-the-top hair metal in the 80s, he had a hard time adjusting to the mellowed-out grunge that dominated the 90s.
01:11All my bands, Skid Row and all of them were gone, and it was just these sad guys singing about being under a bridge and not being happy, he said in his thick Boston accent.
01:21What happened to nothing but a good time, and ignoring all your problems with cocaine?
01:27So when Burr sat next to Vedder at the SNL anniversary, he made sure to make his feelings known.
01:34I told him, I hated your band. You ended my thing.
01:38While perhaps an out-of-pocket thing to say to a stranger, Burr insists the Jeremy singer was cracking up.
01:46He continued.
01:48I said, do you know how long it took me to admit how good of a band Pearl Jam is?
01:53Because now I love them, but it was like 20 years where I was like, I'm not listening to those guys.
01:58If it took Burr 20 years to come around to Pearl Jam, maybe 20 years from now he'll come around to Taylor Swift.
