00:00So Ghazi, you are here being honored with the Clive Davis Visionary Award.
00:05What does that mean to you?
00:09Anytime I'm honored with any award, it's always a surreal feeling.
00:12I never really lose that grounded feeling of where I started, sleeping on the floor in a studio.
00:17So fast forward all these years later, I've always somewhere in my spirit thought that I was a global citizen.
00:24So to be honored as a global power player and as a power player in general,
00:29it's a surreal feeling because, you know, Billboard is the magazine that we all looked up to as the standard,
00:35as the gold standard for the world.
00:36So it's nice to be here. It's very surreal for me.
00:39And, you know, tonight we're here celebrating the launch of Billboard Africa.
00:44What do you want to see Billboard Africa do first?
00:47Who should be on the first cover?
00:49I want to see all my artists on the cover.
00:51I've invested heavily in Africa and I want to see them get the shine that they deserve.
00:54I'm here with Alameda, who's like, you know, he's a fixture and a pillar in the community out there.
01:00But really, in all honesty, I just want to see people have a voice and a platform to shine.
