Telford MP, and former solicitor, Shaun Davies has renewed his call for long-service medals to be established and distributed to volunteer magistrates.
Transcript

00:14calling on a long service medal to be established for justices,
00:18as well as discussing the Magistrates Association's forthcoming report on how to recruit and retain magistrates
00:23as she increases their powers and responsibilities?

00:32and there we met with magistrates and leaders of the Magistrates Association.
00:36I meet with the Magistrates Association regularly.
00:39We have a system of certification acknowledging the vital work that they do,
00:43and especially the long-serving magistrates who served more than 10, 20 and 30 years.
