00:00I already showed you how to recover disk space, but you still get a 100% used disk.
00:08Today I bring you the solution in simple steps.
00:11Come on, join me on the computer.
00:13The first thing you're going to do is disable Sysmain.
00:16To do this, you have to go to Start, type in Services, search for Sysmain or Superfetch,
00:22because Sysam used to be called Superfetch.
00:24I'm going to stop here now because the idea is for you to know what you're doing,
00:28what Superfetch or Sysmain is, which is the same thing.
00:32It's a Windows service that anticipates the programs you're going to use,
00:35the ones you use commonly, and preloads them into RAM.
00:38That way, when you open them, it does it faster.
00:41For example, if you open Skype every day, Superfetch or Sysmain detect this pattern
00:46and save parts of the program in RAM so that it can open later.
00:50But what's the problem?
00:51On HDDs or mechanical disks, this can be very cumbersome and cause disk usage to reach 100%.
00:57And on SSDs, that is, solid disks, this is not necessary because they are already fast,
01:03hence the recommendation to disable it.
01:05Now, let's look for Smill or Superfetch.
01:08Let's right-click, go to Properties and here where it says Startup Type, let's click Disabled.
01:14Apply, Accept.
01:16This will have a good effect on the use of your computer
01:18and may be one of the reasons why your disk is 100% in use.
01:22Point number 2, let's go to Equipment.
01:26Let's click on the disk where you have the system, in my case Disk C, right-click, Properties,
01:32let's go to Tools and go to Error Checking.
01:35Let's check, let's examine the drive.
01:39Depending on whether it is a mechanical disk or a solid disk or M2, this can take 1, 2, or 3 minutes.
01:46Well, depending on what type of disk you have.
01:48In my case, it's very fast because I have an M2.
01:51Let's wait for it to finish briefly and in the meantime, yes, gentlemen,
01:55we are almost reaching a million subscribers.
02:02No errors were found.
02:04Good, success, close.
02:06Let's go here to this option to optimize and fragment the drive.
02:10And be careful here because what I'm going to recommend is that you deactivate it.
02:14What we're going to do is go to Change Settings and click here and Accept.
02:21So, it's disabled.
02:24The day we want to defragment, we do it manually.
02:28But why do I recommend doing this?
02:32Especially on SSDs, you won't need it.
02:34On mechanical drives, you can defragment manually from time to time, but this process generates
02:41high disk usage, which may be one of the reasons why your drive is at 100%.
02:46So, just deactivate it.
02:49And if you have a SCD, don't defragment.
02:51If you have a mechanical drive, you can defragment from time to time.
02:56Point number three, we're going to right-click, Task Manager, or Start Task Manager and open
03:02the application.
03:05If you have the system in English, it's Task Manager.
03:08Let's go to Startup Applications.
03:11And here, look at everything I have enabled.
03:13For example, this has a huge impact on startup.
03:17So, what I'm going to do is right-click, Disable.
03:22Look at everything that is not necessary and that you can disable, do it, because, well,
03:27this also generates disk usage, because applications have to be preloaded on disk, RAM, and so on
03:33in order to run.
03:37So look at what is not necessary and disable it directly.
03:42Once we have all this, let's right-click, Task Manager, let's see the performance and
03:47your disks should have less than 10% usage.
03:52Let me know in the comments to see if this worked and obviously your computer is probably
03:56more optimized.
03:58Anyway, below in the description and pinned comments I leave you an epic playlist so you
04:04can improve your potato and turn it into a NASA gaming machine.
04:09I invite you to follow me on the different social networks, where the content is much
04:13more daily, fluid, I'm there every day.
04:16And apart from all that, I invite you to subscribe and click that bell.
04:21See you in the next video, I'm Gonza Larkon.
