India Today has accessed exclusive video of the moment a stampede broke out outside Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium when a drain slab collapsed, trapping over 50 people during RCB's victory celebrations.

00:07You see how people are stuck there.
00:10That is the drain that had collapsed, a slab on top of that drain had collapsed.
00:14People fell right in and you see all of the people stuck in that location.
00:19They were underneath, buried there.
00:22They passed out.
00:23Many collapsed, fell unconscious.
00:25Unfortunately, over seven died as a result.
00:28In that very small stretch there, people got stuck and in that very, very small pocket
00:35of easily at least 50 people being stuck, there were seven people who died.
00:41What you see on the surface is so many stuck and unable to be pulled out.
00:46There are heads that you see underneath there who couldn't breathe, who couldn't move and
00:52they were stuck underneath.
00:54Seven of them unfortunately have died.
00:57Several others injured.
00:59Many fell unconscious because they were completely stuck, choked there.
01:03There was no space.
01:04They couldn't breathe and there was no way to come out.
01:08You see how the locals are trying to help.
01:10And this is something also that many experts have pointed out, that with this last minute
01:15frenzy to ensure a celebration, basics of ensuring steps of adequate crowd control wasn't taken.
01:25Basic measures were put in place.
01:27And so there's not enough officials on ground to even help those people who are stuck there.
01:32It's locals who are emerging, grabbing them by the hand and pulling them out.
01:36Again, let me remind you, this was a road with a drain.
01:39On top of the slab were over 50 plus people, at least that I can see on our screens in that video,
01:46standing on top of that slab, which then collapsed.
01:49Then you see locals coming and trying to pull them out desperately.
01:52While you can see on the surface so many people, underneath them there are more who have fallen
01:57into the drain and there is no way to pull them out in time.
