00:00hi dreamers welcome back to our channel today i'm gonna make a pencil pouch
00:07so for making it i'm gonna do a chain and the length of the chain would be equal to
00:17the pen i'm holding here i'll be adding a little bit extra length like if this pen
00:26uh wanted me to do 30 chain then i'll be adding like 33 chains like 3 chains extra
00:38um i don't actually remember how many chains i did here so that is why i'm just uh telling it
00:45very randomly so if you wanna replicate this pattern then have a pen um the longest pen that
00:54you're gonna hold and measure the length and add three more chains with that so it can have extra
01:03space for stitching and other things i wanted to learn tunisian crochet through this project so
01:14i don't have any tunisian needles so i just went on with using my normally normal crochet needles
01:23for doing this project um you can see that i'm continuously measuring if it matches the length
01:36or not so after i made the number of chains for the pen length plus three single crochets sorry
01:46um plus three chain stitches then i'm gonna go uh do my second row i should be calling this the first row
01:57um for that um instead of completing the stitches i would just go through each chain stitch and pull up
02:07uh yarn and i won't complete the stitch i'll be doing this for the entire row
02:37uh
02:42uh
02:44uh
02:45uh
02:47uh
02:49uh
02:51uh
02:53uh
02:55uh
02:57uh
05:33I'll be showing it in later part of the video.
05:39But if you are in my case, I couldn't get a tunishi needle where I live.
05:46So, I just went on with using this.
05:49If you could get a needle for yourself, then the easiest way would be buying the needle.
05:58So, you have to be careful at the end because if you miss the last stitch, then your work
06:09will not look as it should.
06:12You'll be losing one stitch at every row.
06:15So, when you reach the end, make sure you have countered every single chains that you have
06:23made.
06:23So, for the next row, I'll be pulling yarn through every single loop.
06:33Like, I'll be completing the work seat through loop.
06:38Pull the yarn through loop.
07:03Start with me.
07:12For the next row.
07:14It's the last one.
07:16I love it.
07:17We've seen it.
07:18worked agree.
07:19So, hey.
07:20Yeah.
08:54After making the base work, I am rechecking if it fits the length of the pouch that I needed.
09:01If it shrinks or something, then I could just unwrap it and do the work again.
09:10And it would be easier when the work is at the beginning stage.
09:14So after doing one more row in black, like two more rows in black to create.
09:22After doing two more rows in black, I have changed the color to dark blue.
09:34For me, this black and blue color gives some kind of nostalgic feeling.
09:40I don't know why, so I am going to go with that to give that back to school kind of vibe.
09:47So, I will be doing loop stitches forward and actual crochet stitches backward.
10:00Like, I will be going forward making loops and coming back with stitches.
10:06For every stitch, I will pass through two loops in a row.
10:10So, at the end, I will be going back with black.
10:19So, two more rows in black and two more rows in blue.
10:23So, I repeated it multiple times to form this mat.
10:28As I said earlier, when the length of the work is long, a normal crochet needle cannot hold it.
10:36So, in that case, you can use a knitting needle as a substitute crochet needle, extended version for a crochet needle.
10:46So, this is how I did it.
10:48I don't know how to explain it, but I have showed a video proof for it.
10:54So, you can see that and understand how I did it.
10:59Like, I am going back now.
11:09So, once I reach the end of the crochet needle, I will be releasing few more stitches
11:16and add my few more stitches from knitting needle and add those loops into the crochet needle.
11:24So, instead of having everything in a single small crochet needle,
11:28I will just take out as much as it could hold and leave the remaining in the knitting needle.
11:35So, that's how I did it.
11:36Because, as the length of the work increased, progressed,
11:42it became a little bit hard to hold everything in the hand.
11:48So, I just went on with this method and completed it.
11:54See, as you can see, the number of counts you can make from this.
11:58Like, the base is too black, then one blue, one black, one blue, one black.
12:04You can pause the video here and check the number of rows that I have made.
12:10So, for you to fix the size, make a folding like this.
12:18If the folding happened, then that is the right length for you to stop crocheting.
12:24So, once you end, this is how I made the loops.
12:30I will be showing another loop for you to see how I made the loops.
12:34Like, this is how I did it.
12:42It might look a bit tedious for you to follow,
12:45but once you get a hang of it, it's very easy to follow.
12:50So, only in case, if you don't have any access to Tunisian needle like I did.
12:59If I could buy one, then there was any available in my place,
13:06then I would definitely have bought one instead of going through all this.
13:11So, if you don't have an option, then you can follow this.
13:20All right.
14:50Now I am hiding all the extra yarns that are left behind.
14:58I sprayed little bit of water on the surface of the yarn this time.
15:09Then I iron the surface to flatten it completely.
15:14So, after flattening it, I am again rechecking.
15:22I am fixing it the way that I have to stitch it.
15:30So, instead of switching it on the right side, sorry, instead of, I don't want my stitches
15:38to be shown outside.
15:39So, I will be folding it the wrong side out and stitch it.
15:44Okay.
15:45I will be repeating it on both sides.
15:58I am very bad at stitching, so I am going back and forth to make it as secure as possible.
16:07So, once I have completed this, I am turning the right side out.
16:13Now, you can see the finished and no zipper needed pencil pouch.
16:23So, this is how it looks.
16:26As you can see, the fold should reach both the corners.
16:32That is the only way for you not to have any zipper or anything that holds the purse.
16:43In this case, see how much it can hold.
16:49A pen, a glue stick, a pen, a glue stick, I am checking if anything falls out.
16:58It might look soft for you, but I really did use it while traveling and all.
17:08I don't see any spilling of any goods out of it.
17:13So, I am again showing you, I have tested it multiple times and I also used it.
17:21It didn't show any spelling.
17:35See how much it can hold.
17:38It has nothing.
17:39There is a pen.
17:40Another pen.
17:41Another pen.
17:44Another pen.
17:46Another pen.
17:47Another pen.
17:51And another pen.
