00:00hi dreamers welcome back to our channel from what i have noticed in facebook communities
00:09particularly between crocheting and knitting communities that they don't go well together
00:17but um just like i was curious with crocheting i wanted to try knitting too but there isn't
00:25much places to learn knitting actually i learned crocheting completely through youtube channels
00:34but knitting doesn't had that many channels that i could understand so after digging around for a
00:45longer time i have found that there are a few channels that are teaching knitting too i'll
00:53add some of those videos that i have learned from in the description so that youtube can
00:58learn from the actual masters so for that instead of going for normal knitting process
01:07i straight away went for circular knitting
01:12first row that i have done the base is called cast on since i was a beginner it was a bit hard to
01:21concentrate on both recording and doing the stitch side by side so i couldn't record it
01:28in this particular video but i got a hang of it so i'll be doing it in the future videos
01:37for that i made like
01:4245 stitches and then for the second row i placed that pink thread as a marker
01:48and went on with um what they call a knit stitch and purl stitch so i'll be see you can see literally
01:58in the video that i have been struggling to make even a single stitch like it was very hard at the
02:05beginning but in the video itself you can see the progress that i have made like practice always makes
02:12you learn something right so for the first row i did like a purl stitch and a knit stitch so the one i'm
02:27doing is called knit stitch like now now this one is like you put the needle from back to front
02:37and pull the thread through is called purl stitch
02:46and for knit stitch i'll be putting the needle from front to back and pull the yarn to this
02:57and this and this is knit stitch and i have fast forwarded it a bit to reach the end of it
03:08to show you how i'll be starting the next row
03:11as you continue working you'll have to push the yarn at one end and you'll be pushing it in a circular way so
03:36you
04:06You can see the progress in here. I have completed like 10 rows with alternative purl and knit
04:28stitches alone. Like I have done purl, then knit, then purl, then knit. Like that I have
04:35done 10 rows. See this is how I am reaching the end. You can see once the end is reached
04:43you can see the marker at that position. Now I will be pushing it back to the other end
04:49of the needle to continue to work in the circle itself. This is how I did for every single
04:56row. Once you complete a particular row, you have to push it back to the position where
05:01it came from, then put the marker on the working needle. So this is how I have done the 10
05:08rows. And I have shown at the earlier part of the video how much I was struggling to keep
05:16the yarn in the needle itself. But in the coming part of the video you can see how easy it has
05:24became for me. Like it only took 10 rows of practice to get familiar with the stitches.
05:31So if you are a crocheter like me who got a bit intimidated by the knitting processes, don't
05:43be afraid of it. You can do it. If I can, you too can do it. The design that I have planned
05:51for was a checker box design and the color I chose was the blue that I have worked on
05:58and I will be changing to pink. So I will be doing 5 stitches of pink then I will change
06:09into 5 stitches of blue. I will be doing the same stitches for next to 5 rows and then after
06:16that I will alternate the colors to make a checker pattern. Until this I was doing purl and knit
06:27stitch alternatively. After this I will only be doing knit stitch. See after doing 5 stitches
06:36in pink I will be changing the color to blue. Changing color is a bit hard just like crocheting
06:47in knitting also it is a bit hard but after doing like 5 or 6 stitches then you can hide the
06:56extra tail behind and the work will be easier to follow. So as you can see I will be doing
07:03only knit stitch. I won't alternate purl and knit stitch after this. As the pattern progresses
07:12you can see how it looks and how it differs from the previous one.
07:33You can see in the mid is a bit slow and it is a bit hard. But this is written the
07:43one that reflects the 색깔이 of a pink. So if I am wearing a pink, the hair we have
07:48to look at all the pictures for the pattern. I see the pattern andores the pattern of the
07:53that you have to use all the work. I am wearing a pink, too. So it seems to me I will be
08:01You can see how different the checker part looks from the bottom part.
08:30After doing like 5 rows I am going back to pink so I will be changing color to pink in this part.
08:455 stitches in pink then I will change to blue for the next 5 stitches so that it can create a checker pattern.
08:57You can clearly see how much the pattern differs from the purl and knit stitch alternatively and only knit stitch.
09:19Usually videos don't have any flaws like it is easy to follow or something kind of videos but I want to keep it very true.
09:31So I deliberately kept the paths where I have been struggling so that you could learn like it is normal for you to struggle by working on an knit stitch.
09:43So thank you and take me to meny đây.
09:44Thank you very much.
09:45Thank you very much.
09:46We will make sure that you meet two and completely gentle on what you like making it all.
09:47Thank you very much.
09:49Thanks.
10:13You can see the color difference of the Presley Crochet blue color and the bottom blue that
10:34I have worked earlier on.
10:36This is because I have been working on it for a very long time that even the color got dirty.
10:48And as I continued working on it and as I got familiar with the work, it is not as dirty
10:54as it looks because learning causes some dirt.
10:59And here you can see the size that I have made the hat for.
11:07I happened to make it for a much smaller size and I have no body in that head size.
11:14So I don't want to progress it in this video.
11:19I'll be stopping it here and I just unraveled it completely.
11:23So I'll be doing a future video where I complete a project.
11:28I'll be making a proper knitting video in the future.
11:33If you liked it, make sure to like, share and subscribe.
11:37And if you find anything that I could learn from, mention it in the comment section.
11:43Until next time, bye.
