00:29Squamish and I ride mountain bikes and dirt jumpers.
00:55The end of the sport was watching Daniel McCaskill videos when I was really young.
01:02I was about four years old, jumping off this little rock on my run bike.
01:11I've been riding since I was like two, which is a long time.
01:15If my mom has never seen me ride before and I just went out and did a 50 foot jump, she'd
01:24be like peeing her pants right now and she would be like, she wouldn't look.
01:27Since she's watched me do all this stuff for so long, she's actually pretty good.
01:31And my dad just found he'll wet with everything.
01:36In the winter it's very cold and you can't really ride your downhill bike that much.
01:40So in this winter I usually like dirt jumping more because it's just kind of what I do and
01:44it's more fun at that time.
01:46But in the summer everything switches because you can ride downhill bikes all the time.
01:50It's about 60% physical and 40% mental.
01:59The mental part, you know, you have to make sure you remember all your lines.
02:02The physical part is making sure you keep pushing at the end and not getting tired by the end of the time.
02:08What I do for training is two to three times a week I go to CrossFit and then I try to ride my bike as
02:25much as I can with a whole bunch of friends.
02:27CrossFit we have this group that we go with.
02:29One of the biggest achievements in my life was probably winning the Rookies World Championships in Austria.
02:39Pretty much it's called the World Championships for kids, so it's only kids 16 and under.
02:46My advice to younger kids or anyone that wants to start riding or is new to biking would just stay on your bike and keep it fun.
02:59Oh no!
