00:00Things that I need in my trailer, cozy shoes and a good bluetooth speaker. I like a heating pad
00:17and I like my tea, my needlepoint. I like to needlepoint travel with my pillow. I am doing a
00:25lot of heavy work on the series grotesqueries so when I leave set and go into my trailer the
00:30thing that puts the battery in my bag that gives me the recharge I need is my spouse. I said what I
00:37said. The most basic trailer there is like you know some place to change your clothes go to the
00:44bathroom if you need to but I like really super minimal. I'm like come on let's get going I want
00:49to get out of here and get home. I don't spend time in my trailer honestly when I'm on set I like to
00:53spend time on set but I'll tell you one thing I do do which is very embarrassing. I always take
00:59a teddy bear with me not on set but to the hotel because I'm always staying in hotels. It's not
01:04actually a teddy bear it's a it's a pig it's a pink pig that I go to bed with. I have a wonderful
01:10Quixote trailer and one end is a sitting area with one of those gas fireplaces and the other is with
01:19a makeup chair and I mean you know all of this I mean I'm just so excited every day it's unbelievable.
01:26I think I'd like to be a tailor or be in fashion somewhere. I'd like to make clothes like to be
01:33around that. I'd be a hairdresser I wouldn't you know wash it or blow-dried I cut it. Oh I'd like to
01:41be a sniper. Well the reason I said that is because Jenny Snyder-Ehrman who created Matlock
01:48she created Maddie to be a sniper. She was always going to be pointed in the right direction and
01:54then she would solve it. I would love to train Belgian Malinois dogs for the military. I would
02:02be the president so I could just fix some stuff real quick and get some stuff in order in the way
02:08that it should be and then I'd clock out. One very productive day. The television performance
02:13that made me want to become an actor was when I was five years old. I was watching television with
02:18my grandmother. I saw the most gorgeous black woman that I had ever seen in my little five years of
02:24living. She had on a long red dress and her eyelashes looked like butterflies and I said grandmama who is
02:30that? She said baby that's Lola Falana and I felt like in that moment my destiny was stamped on the
02:38canvas of my imagination. I look at my grandmother and I say that's what I want to be. I want to be
02:44black fabulous and on TV and I am. Frances McDormand in Fargo and Uma Thurman in Kill Bill and Michelle
02:53Pfeiffer in Batman Returns. Gosh the first name that popped into my mind was Joanne Woodward. I remember
02:59seeing her in films years ago Three Faces of Eve and also Shirley MacLaine. She was in Children's Hour
03:06with Audrey Hepburn and I remember watching her in that and Vivian Lee in Streetcar Named Desire with
03:14Brando. You know I actually love Kathy Bates. I love her. She's just one of those people that you
03:20instantly believe when she cries it makes you cry. I think she's like a big frontrunner for me.
03:27You know I love Shirley MacLaine in Sweet Charity and now that I have her hair I think that's why
03:33I thought of it. I loved that movie. I used to watch it on TV. You won't believe this but I grew up with
03:39no television and I didn't watch movies but the the film that I saw that made me want to become an
03:46actress or understand the the possibilities of film was a film called L'Aventura by an Italian director
03:53called Antonioni and for a long time to this day actually I want to be an Italian actress.
03:59I really want to be Anna Magnani.
