00:23It's one of the largest pinnipeds, that's like the seals and sea lions, on the planet.
00:31And these tusks can get nearly a metre long. I mean, already that one there, oof, that's a big boy, I tell you.
00:41Tusks are actually teeth, specifically canines.
00:46Unlike the canines in human adults, tusks will continue to grow throughout the walrus's life.
00:54Now, these teeth aren't used to go around killing other animals.
00:59They're used between large male walruses to decide who's the boss, who's the big daddy.
01:06And if it does come to blows, the tusks come to the fore again.
01:09And two male walruses fighting each other will use these tusks to try and stab each other, preferably right in the neck.
01:18It's going to sting come winter.
