Following fresh demands from Northern political leaders for more investment in the rail network, we spoke to the people of Lancashire about the state of the British trains

00:05released yesterday by the Transport for North, political leaders have been calling for extra

00:11funding for accessibility and safety measures to be made within train stations across the north.

00:18As a result of this, I went down to a very windy Preston earlier to ask the members of Preston

00:24Public what they thought about trains, train lines and train stations across the north and

00:29across the country. Yesterday, a study came out about railway lines. What is your view on railway

00:37lines in Britain and what do you think of them? Well, it's the biggest thing. Well, first thing you know,

00:43it's wet and trains have been on time delay. I think some of you may miss the big signing for

00:53events in Florida. Where do you think they need investing in, and where do you think that

01:01should come from? The government. Honestly, they're saying they want to re-nationalise railway,

01:07so they should be doing it all over as well. From Langdon Mill on Saturday, five hours.

01:16Do you think the rails need more investment then? Definitely. Yeah, we're starting either

01:24privatisation and nothing else. There was a new survey out yesterday about transport and the travel

01:32for the north. What are your thoughts on train lines in England? To expand the boats are not too bad, you know.

01:42Do you want to take, do all your trains come on time? Yeah, most of the time, yeah.

01:51Um, do you think they're like accessible to people, like to everyone?

01:56So, how do you? Yeah, that. Do you think any investments needed at all?

02:01What are your opinions on the railway lines across the country?

02:14Well, the railways have been rough, they've been nasty. They can get more places, like in Paris,

02:23you'll have a great journey. Are they always on time? No, no, no, no. It might be, or less to.

02:29Um, so do you think there's any investment needed into...? No, there's no investment.

02:33How come? Because they need to, um, they need to sort out lines, like all the pen lines,

02:39we are very old Victoria filings that people can't get through. So instead, it's ultimately

02:45the money straight. Taking an hour to get to these, it takes two hours to receive the business.

02:50Do you think they're accessible for all, like, trains? I think trains are...

02:54Yeah, like, like, like, I have the Sydney Railway, if I go...
