Gangtok (Sikkim), June 03, 2025 (ANI): As heavy rains affecting parts of North Sikkim, Sikkim Tourism and Civil Aviation Department Additional Chief Secretary C Subhakar Rao informed that over 1700 tourists evacuated from Lachung and Chaten. “As per information received, 1670 tourists have been evacuated from Lachung. 30 people from Chaten were evacuated today. Till yesterday, 130 stranded tourists were present at Lachen. We will try to evacuate them by air today. The problem is only in high-altitude areas. The number of tourists has not come down. Till Chungthang, there is no problem,” said C Subhakar Rao.

02:06north side we are planning to avoid tourists movement beyond Chungtaan. Up to Chungtaan we don't have any
