00:00:00From the Our Family collection, Father Ernesto María Caro presents the seminar
00:00:08Educating according to the model of Jesus.
00:00:11The call.
00:00:13Human life is first and foremost a call from God, that is, a vocation.
00:00:19It's not that human beings come into the world just by a twist of fate.
00:00:24We are here because God has spoken our name from eternity, and by calling us, He invites us to be with Him.
00:00:33Nothing is by chance.
00:00:35Being a father or mother is also a calling, a vocation.
00:00:40Ultimately, it is an invitation from God to be the means through which a new life is conceived, matures, and planned.
00:00:50Let us be faithful to God's invitation so that our children may reach the fullness to which Jesus calls them through our work as fathers or mothers.
00:01:02So the idea throughout this course, this year, is to review how Jesus would instruct a child.
00:01:16If he had to teach a child right now, how would he do it?
00:01:20Well, we would have to see how he did it with his disciples.
00:01:24So the idea is now, throughout this year, to review a series of passages, a series of situations, where we will see what Jesus did, how Jesus did it, what difficulties he had to face in order to educate his disciples.
00:01:41In this way, we must also do it with the children.
00:01:46Each of his children, God has placed in his hands so that he may also form them as disciples, so that they may become true Christians.
00:01:58A true Christian will be a good man, a man of peace, a peacemaker, a just man.
00:02:07A Christian man, a Christian woman, is the best potential, the best asset that our world can have.
00:02:18It is true that, well, not everyone understands it that way.
00:02:23And that is why, unfortunately, our world today is not being guided by Christians, and we all live with the consequences.
00:02:33So, well, the idea, then, during this period that we are going to have, from now until June, is going to be to reflect on how Jesus would educate a child.
00:02:48Jesus had an unimaginable project for his disciples.
00:02:54Moreover, it's not just unimaginable, it's truly complicated and difficult.
00:03:00If you think, brothers, about what your children will have to face, especially those of you who have younger children.
00:03:12Let's imagine a child who is currently in the first year of elementary school.
00:03:17Let's imagine a child who is just beginning their education, eight years old.
00:03:22What do you think awaits him in the next ten or fifteen years?
00:03:31That is, when he is eighteen years old, twenty-three years old, when he is finishing his professional career.
00:03:39What will the world he is going to face be like?
00:03:41If we put it in perspective with how we are living in our world today, well, my beloved brothers, it is going to face a terribly complicated world.
00:03:56Full of technology on one hand, communications will have become increasingly impersonal.
00:04:05Today, the internet is the primary means of communication.
00:04:09Today, young people use the internet extensively, I might almost say.
00:04:16I was recently talking with some parents from the school about how not too long ago, let's think, fifteen years ago, the internet was still not developed.
00:04:31Computers existed, but there were hardly any video games.
00:04:34There were those Atari video games, which is what it all started with, those little games, which also cost a fortune.
00:04:42And I said at this meeting that today we no longer see children, much less young people, in the streets or in the parks.
00:04:54Not only because of the insecurity, which, well, has been here in Monterrey for two or three years and is really affecting us.
00:05:02We don't see children or young people in the street because today they play on computers, because today they communicate and it's fascinating to be chatting.
00:05:12Let alone with people from their own classroom or their own city.
00:05:18Children in bilingual schools can communicate with people from all over the world, with all the dangers that we now know this entails.
00:05:27Because, well, it's completely impersonal. We don't know who the person on the other end is.
00:05:31But today communication is like this: children locked up, completely impersonal communication.
00:05:40Today, many food companies and supermarkets offer the option of placing your order online.
00:05:48We no longer need to go to the supermarket.
00:05:50Many of the things we buy today are done through the internet.
00:05:55Here in Mexico this hasn't worked very well yet.
00:05:59Or with the strength it has had in other countries, because here people are still very afraid of the insecurity of the cards with which they have to pay and all this issue.
00:06:08But let's think about five years, ten years, fifteen years.
00:06:16What will it be like? What kind of world will they have to face?
00:06:21This should make you think about the tools, the resources that you have to give a child today.
00:06:28so that they can cope with these situations of depersonalization and violence.
00:06:37Violence is present in video games today.
00:06:42The whole problem of relationships and affection, which today is overflowing through a sexuality that is, well, completely overflowing.
00:06:52This topic of gender in sexual life, I was talking about it with the director today, she told me that there are six genders today.
00:07:03The metrosexual, the bisexual, the homosexual, well, he was talking to me about six genders.
00:07:15At six or seven years old, the child starts primary school.
00:07:20Today, the Ministry of Public Education has fully opened itself up to this worldliness, to these philosophies.
00:07:29All of this, children will already be seeing in elementary school.
00:07:35They will understand that they can choose.
00:07:39In the United States, in the state of Massachusetts, by law, children must begin to be educated about homosexuality.
00:07:48in the possibility, then, of me being able to choose my sex and be able to make a union, they would call it marriage,
00:07:57with a person of the same sex.
00:08:00And if I object, if I as a parent object to my children participating in those classes,
00:08:07Could I end up in jail?
00:08:09What will our world be like in fifteen years if we continue on our current path?
00:08:16There are many things that we cannot fully control.
00:08:20The Christian world today has lost a great deal of strength compared to what it once had.
00:08:26Let's think about Mexico thirty years ago.
00:08:29Although the church was not recognized as an entity,
00:08:34Christianity had a positive influence in the political and educational spheres.
00:08:43Many things could therefore be managed, fixed, and a culture—let alone a Christian one—maintained.
00:08:51a morally acceptable culture.
00:08:55Today this no longer exists.
00:08:57See then, my beloved brothers,
00:09:02the tremendous responsibility that weighs
00:09:05about each of you
00:09:07and, of course, about me as your pastor.
00:09:12Jesus surely saw similar scenes to those we see today.
00:09:18The Roman world wasn't very different from the one we live in today.
00:09:21and the one we will live in in the coming years.
00:09:24There was no internet.
00:09:26Communications were more complicated.
00:09:30However, the depravity of Rome reached the whole world.
00:09:34One need only look at Paul's letter to the Corinthians, in his first letter,
00:09:39of all the terrible things he has to punish.
00:09:42Two thousand years ago, disorder was spreading.
00:09:50His disciples had to be prepared to face this world that he was going to prepare them for.
00:09:56And look at the expression with which he sends them off.
00:09:59Says,
00:09:59I am sending them out like sheep among wolves.
00:10:04I had to prepare them to preach.
00:10:07So that they could cast out the demons.
00:10:09So that they could heal.
00:10:11So that they could become their witnesses in a world that would not understand them.
00:10:16That he was going to reject them.
00:10:17The first thing, then, that I would like to leave in your hearts tonight.
00:10:23It is this responsibility to look towards the future.
00:10:27Life moves so fast these days, brothers.
00:10:31We don't realize that the future is catching up with us so quickly.
00:10:36Look at this year.
00:10:37It's over.
00:10:40How long ago was it Christmas?
00:10:44Mother's Day.
00:10:47Passover.
00:10:49Suddenly we are already celebrating the feast of all saints.
00:10:53In a month and a half we will be celebrating Christmas.
00:10:57Life passes us by at an impressive speed.
00:11:02And today our work.
00:11:05Today, in most cases, the mother works.
00:11:07Dad works.
00:11:09So busy with worldly affairs.
00:11:11As far as I'm concerned, as an employee.
00:11:14I forget my calling to be a dad.
00:11:18To be a mom.
00:11:19And to prepare my children for the future.
00:11:22That I suddenly don't stop to look.
00:11:24And then I say.
00:11:27Wow.
00:11:29I will be giving the resources to my children.
00:11:32So that they can be happy.
00:11:35I will be giving them resources so that they can live a peaceful life.
00:11:39You can see that it's no small thing.
00:11:45And they have no one but you.
00:11:49The school that you can provide them.
00:11:51The catechism that you can give them.
00:11:53The attention you can give them.
00:11:57Those will be the tools they will use to face it.
00:12:00An increasingly aggressive world.
00:12:03An increasingly terrible world.
00:12:06When the parents.
00:12:10They're coming to interview me.
00:12:12Because they don't understand why.
00:12:15Here in the parish it's a catechism.
00:12:17Five years old.
00:12:20I'm telling you.
00:12:21Well, if you wanted to.
00:12:23Give your children the best.
00:12:26Well, I think they would be thinking.
00:12:27In giving him the best tools.
00:12:29Or you haven't looked.
00:12:33The best school.
00:12:36Or he's looking for a school.
00:12:37Where in three years.
00:12:39I can do elementary school.
00:12:41And in one year, high school.
00:12:44And in six months, high school.
00:12:47So that at 15 or 16 years old.
00:12:49They are entering.
00:12:51Either 14 years old or I don't know.
00:12:52You are entering the faculty.
00:12:55With what knowledge?
00:12:57What will he use to defend himself?
00:13:01And yet.
00:13:03This is the mindset.
00:13:05Because we don't see the world that's coming.
00:13:09Because.
00:13:10We're so busy.
00:13:11In our daily activities.
00:13:14In everyday life.
00:13:16That we don't see that.
00:13:18Quickly, their children.
00:13:19They will be 15, 20 years old.
00:13:21They'll start dating.
00:13:22That they will have to face.
00:13:25Situations.
00:13:25How are you doing.
00:13:27Of.
00:13:28A community.
00:13:29Some people.
00:13:31One world.
00:13:31That's what they're going to do.
00:13:32Carrying.
00:13:33To question.
00:13:34If they are men.
00:13:35Or if they are women.
00:13:36This is incredible.
00:13:37This is already happening here.
00:13:38In our society.
00:13:39In our communities.
00:13:42Children.
00:13:43Teenagers.
00:13:4413, 14 years old.
00:13:45That.
00:13:46They really do enter.
00:13:47In a tremendous crisis.
00:13:48Because of the pressure.
00:13:50From his colleagues.
00:13:51Where they are.
00:13:52They question themselves.
00:13:53If they are men.
00:13:54Or if they are women.
00:13:57If they have to take it.
00:13:59Towards homosexuality.
00:14:01EITHER.
00:14:02They are truly men.
00:14:04And they plunge into a terrible crisis.
00:14:07To the family.
00:14:09This is happening today.
00:14:12Imagine.
00:14:14What will happen.
00:14:15In 15 or 20 years.
00:14:17And you.
00:14:21They will have to introduce him.
00:14:23This world.
00:14:23To their children.
00:14:25Jesus, then.
00:14:28Wanted to.
00:14:28That his disciples.
00:14:29They were.
00:14:30Well prepared.
00:14:33Wanted to.
00:14:34That they would learn.
00:14:35His.
00:14:37And the method.
00:14:38Was.
00:14:40Very.
00:14:40Simple.
00:14:42Hear.
00:14:44And see the teacher.
00:14:47The children.
00:14:48You have to see them.
00:14:49To you.
00:14:52It's easy.
00:14:53Tell the child.
00:14:54Go and pray.
00:14:55It's because if you don't pray.
00:14:56Etc.
00:14:58But he doesn't see you praying.
00:15:00He doesn't see you kneeling.
00:15:03That you.
00:15:04Supplicates to the Lord.
00:15:08The disciples.
00:15:09They told him.
00:15:09Teacher.
00:15:11Teach us to pray.
00:15:12We want to pray.
00:15:13Like you.
00:15:14The child.
00:15:16I should tell you.
00:15:17Dad.
00:15:18Teach me to pray.
00:15:19Because he sees you.
00:15:21Included in your prayer.
00:15:23Kneeling.
00:15:23Sitting.
00:15:24With your Bible in hand.
00:15:27And he wants to have it.
00:15:28That experience too.
00:15:30Because he sees that.
00:15:32This while.
00:15:32That you spend time with God.
00:15:34It makes you a person.
00:15:35Accessible.
00:15:36Pacifica.
00:15:37Loving.
00:15:39That gives you ability.
00:15:40Listening.
00:15:41Jesus no.
00:15:44He told them.
00:15:45That they did nothing.
00:15:46That he wouldn't have done.
00:15:48The method was.
00:15:50See the teacher.
00:15:52And listen to it.
00:15:54Siblings.
00:15:55We must forgive.
00:15:58And that's what he did.
00:16:01We must love.
00:16:03And that's what he did.
00:16:04They're going to come after us.
00:16:08And they pursued him.
00:16:09They saw their teacher.
00:16:13And you brothers.
00:16:15They are the children's teachers.
00:16:18It has been said.
00:16:20That.
00:16:21At home.
00:16:22Of the smokers.
00:16:24Ordinarily.
00:16:24The children will be smokers.
00:16:27In the houses.
00:16:29From the parents.
00:16:30They drink.
00:16:31The children.
00:16:32They will be drinkers.
00:16:34That's what they saw.
00:16:35That's what they heard.
00:16:36If they don't see you praying.
00:16:41If you.
00:16:42When they come to mass.
00:16:44They don't see them taking communion.
00:16:47Or if they see them taking communion.
00:16:48And then they return to their bench.
00:16:50They sit down.
00:16:51They are talking.
00:16:52It was simply that.
00:16:52As well as.
00:16:53Go out for a snack.
00:16:55And return again.
00:16:57Without going into much detail.
00:16:59Without.
00:17:00Enter into intimacy.
00:17:01God be with you.
00:17:02The child.
00:17:03That he can understand.
00:17:04So.
00:17:05He will make his first communion.
00:17:07And it will imitate.
00:17:08What you did.
00:17:10And that's why.
00:17:11The serious thing.
00:17:12That is one of the restrictions.
00:17:13Big.
00:17:13Here in the parish.
00:17:14To make First Communion.
00:17:16For example.
00:17:17The child is a boy.
00:17:19And the dad.
00:17:20He doesn't come to mass.
00:17:23Well.
00:17:25How am I going to give him his first communion?
00:17:26The child.
00:17:29After he/she makes his/her first communion.
00:17:31She'll tell her mom.
00:17:32Mother.
00:17:33I'm going to stay here with my dad.
00:17:36And what are you going to say to him?
00:17:39That's what he sees.
00:17:40That's what maybe.
00:17:41Many of us saw it.
00:17:43In our parents.
00:17:44They didn't go to mass.
00:17:45They did not confess.
00:17:46They did not take communion.
00:17:49And well.
00:17:49Well, our Christian life.
00:17:51Never.
00:17:52It took root.
00:17:52And today.
00:17:55Look at the kind of world we live in.
00:17:56That we are facing.
00:17:58As I have repeated.
00:18:00So many times.
00:18:01We would assume in Mexico.
00:18:03What we would be.
00:18:04A Christian people.
00:18:07And yet.
00:18:08That's not the case.
00:18:09We are a people of the baptized.
00:18:12But our Christian life.
00:18:14Well, there you have it.
00:18:15Hidden away somewhere.
00:18:16Somewhere.
00:18:18So.
00:18:20It's important.
00:18:21Let their children see them.
00:18:24And listen to them too.
00:18:27Remember.
00:18:28That's already happened.
00:18:30I've said it on other occasions.
00:18:33God called you.
00:18:34To be a dad.
00:18:37It's a calling.
00:18:40There are marriages.
00:18:41They are not called to this.
00:18:43There are marriages that.
00:18:44Well, they're never dads.
00:18:47But God gave you a son.
00:18:48So that means.
00:18:50He's calling you now.
00:18:52On a mission.
00:18:55I would almost ask for this.
00:18:56To put on the music.
00:18:57Mission Impossible.
00:18:58TRUE?
00:18:59If you decide to accept this mission.
00:19:06There are people who don't accept it.
00:19:09There are people who.
00:19:10She prefers that her children be educated in the world.
00:19:14He never worries about his Christian education.
00:19:16Recently a mom.
00:19:20Came.
00:19:21Go complain.
00:19:23Because.
00:19:25The catechist had called her attention to it.
00:19:28Because I didn't have it.
00:19:29Her mass attendance sheet is full.
00:19:33And then Mom came.
00:19:34Very angry.
00:19:35To say.
00:19:36When I came.
00:19:37I told the catechist.
00:19:39That I wasn't coming.
00:19:41Never to mass.
00:19:42That my son was never going to go to mass.
00:19:44That I was never going to come.
00:19:46To the talks.
00:19:48One says.
00:19:48Let's see.
00:19:50So.
00:19:51What is this about?
00:19:53But angry.
00:19:54No?
00:19:54Because.
00:19:55Well, she wants to have her son here.
00:19:57I imagine she'll make her first communion.
00:20:00But he's never going to take him to mass.
00:20:03Then one says.
00:20:04Let's see.
00:20:04Well, I don't understand.
00:20:07I don't understand what this is about.
00:20:10What's happening?
00:20:11Well, she wants to educate her son.
00:20:12According to the world.
00:20:13She is unwilling to accept the mission of making her son a Christian.
00:20:19And with it, everything that the Christian life entails.
00:20:21A good man.
00:20:22An honest man.
00:20:23A working man.
00:20:26It's truly a challenge.
00:20:28And every dad has to accept it.
00:20:32Each of you has something to say.
00:20:34Yes sir.
00:20:35Yes, I accept.
00:20:37Being a dad.
00:20:37Yes, I accept.
00:20:41Educating my son.
00:20:42According.
00:20:43To your faith.
00:20:45I accept.
00:20:47Because that's where the rest of the commitment begins.
00:20:51All these meetings we have.
00:20:53These talks.
00:20:54They intend.
00:20:55To help you.
00:20:56To comply.
00:20:57With a commitment.
00:20:58It's personal.
00:20:59From each one of you.
00:21:01Educating their children.
00:21:03It's not my commitment.
00:21:05It's a commitment.
00:21:05From each one of you.
00:21:07Because I wasn't called to be the father of their children.
00:21:11I was called to be a pastor.
00:21:14Who has the commitment.
00:21:16The one who made the commitment before God.
00:21:18About educating your child.
00:21:19According to the faith.
00:21:20It was each and every one of you.
00:21:21The day they got married.
00:21:23The priest.
00:21:24Clearly.
00:21:25He asked them.
00:21:26They are willing to educate their children.
00:21:29In the Christian faith.
00:21:31And you said.
00:21:33Yeah.
00:21:35That is the commitment.
00:21:38The son arrived.
00:21:39The commitment.
00:21:40It becomes a reality.
00:21:43And now.
00:21:43Well.
00:21:43Well.
00:21:44Father.
00:21:45But I wasn't educated.
00:21:46And now I have the commitment.
00:21:47That's why we're here.
00:21:50To give them tools.
00:21:52So that you can comply.
00:21:54With great ease.
00:21:56This commitment that you made.
00:21:59The day of their wedding.
00:22:02Jesus also chose his disciples.
00:22:05In the Gospel of Luke.
00:22:07In chapter 5.
00:22:08In verse 26.
00:22:09We found the calling.
00:22:12What does Jesus do to Matthew?
00:22:14Come.
00:22:15And follow me.
00:22:17And he says.
00:22:18And he.
00:22:18Leaving his table.
00:22:20And everything I had there.
00:22:22He followed him.
00:22:23That is to say.
00:22:23He.
00:22:25Took.
00:22:26The commitment.
00:22:29He agreed.
00:22:31Enter.
00:22:32In this dynamic.
00:22:34Following Jesus.
00:22:36Says.
00:22:38In the Gospel of John.
00:22:40In chapter 15.
00:22:42In verse 16.
00:22:43You didn't choose me.
00:22:48I chose you.
00:22:51And I chose them.
00:22:54So that they go.
00:22:56And bear fruit.
00:22:58And may its fruit remain.
00:23:01My beloved brothers.
00:23:04You have to choose.
00:23:06To their children.
00:23:08As.
00:23:10Disciples.
00:23:10It's not that his children.
00:23:11They're going to choose you.
00:23:15The disciples thought.
00:23:16That they had chosen him.
00:23:18That they had decided.
00:23:19Go with this teacher.
00:23:20But not.
00:23:21He was the one who kept passing by.
00:23:23And he said to her.
00:23:23Come and follow me.
00:23:24Come and follow me.
00:23:24Come and follow me.
00:23:25Come and follow me.
00:23:26And they accepted it.
00:23:27The follow-up.
00:23:30You have to choose it.
00:23:31And tell him.
00:23:33I'm going to be yours.
00:23:33A disciple.
00:23:35I will be yours.
00:23:36A disciple.
00:23:37It is my commitment.
00:23:38Make yourself a disciple.
00:23:40I chose you.
00:23:42Son.
00:23:42I chose you.
00:23:43Daughter.
00:23:44So that you may be.
00:23:45My disciple.
00:23:49We did it a while ago.
00:23:50A t-shirt.
00:23:51I liked it a lot.
00:23:53I liked it.
00:23:54For Father's Day.
00:23:55What was I saying?
00:23:57I am like Jesus.
00:24:00Because of my son.
00:24:01He wants to be like me.
00:24:03And I think most of us children want to be that.
00:24:07No?
00:24:07We want to be like our dad.
00:24:09And he says.
00:24:09That's why I want to be like Jesus.
00:24:12Because my son wants to be like me.
00:24:16You are their teacher.
00:24:20He is your disciple.
00:24:22And you have to take it on your own.
00:24:25And give yourself time for him.
00:24:27And you have to instruct him in the same way that Jesus did.
00:24:30He needs to hear you preach.
00:24:36And he has to see you.
00:24:37You practice what you preach.
00:24:40Because otherwise.
00:24:43Sooner or later.
00:24:44He will realize that all of this is simply a game.
00:24:48And of course, later on, when he's in trouble in the complicated world he's going to live in.
00:24:53Well then, as the Lord says.
00:24:56Then will come the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
00:25:00My brothers chose us for a job that is not easy.
00:25:05To educate and raise their children to be Christians and good men.
00:25:09It's not easy these days.
00:25:12Because?
00:25:12Because they have to live with a pagan world.
00:25:18Today.
00:25:19And this is something we have to accept.
00:25:21And until we accept that, we're screwed.
00:25:24Today we have to accept that Christians are a minority.
00:25:28As they were in the beginning.
00:25:33They lived in a world where the majority were pagans.
00:25:36Their criteria, their way of acting, thinking, and living.
00:25:41It was completely different.
00:25:42Nothing to do with it.
00:25:45The Christians were there.
00:25:47A small group.
00:25:50Difficult.
00:25:51Because surely the children of the Christians of that time were also there.
00:25:56Hey Dad.
00:25:57And why don't we go to the steam baths like everyone else?
00:26:02Hey Dad.
00:26:02And why don't we go to the circus?
00:26:04It's not the X-Broken Circus, is it?
00:26:09To see the lions jumping over the fire and the trapeze.
00:26:14No.
00:26:15The circus went to see how they were destroying themselves there.
00:26:18Men with men.
00:26:19There are the gladiators.
00:26:20And then at Nero's circus, well, you see.
00:26:23How they threw them to the wild beasts.
00:26:25To the Christians.
00:26:27Dad.
00:26:27And why don't we go?
00:26:30My little friend tells me that they go all out.
00:26:33She went with her parents.
00:26:34And why can't I go?
00:26:37And try explaining it to him.
00:26:40Those were not easy times for them.
00:26:43They were a minority.
00:26:44That is why your work today, brothers.
00:26:47It's difficult.
00:26:48Because they go completely against the grain.
00:26:51Like salmon.
00:26:52The world is all the people who live on your block.
00:26:58The vast majority of the children at the school.
00:27:01The vast majority of the children in the neighborhood.
00:27:04They go against our current.
00:27:06They celebrate Halloween.
00:27:09They play violent, killing games there.
00:27:16They're going to see any kind of movie.
00:27:19They have all kinds of conversations.
00:27:22They say.
00:27:23They say.
00:27:23Oh dear.
00:27:25And that's all.
00:27:2890 percent or more of his little friends.
00:27:31They think.
00:27:33Like the pagans.
00:27:34Because in their own homes they are pagans.
00:27:37Even if they have been baptized.
00:27:39And even if they have received the sacraments of confirmation and communion.
00:27:42They are pagans.
00:27:44Baptized.
00:27:46With criteria.
00:27:48Words.
00:27:49Actions.
00:27:50Completely mundane.
00:27:52And you go there like a little salmon.
00:27:55In the middle of the current.
00:27:56Fight and fight.
00:27:57TRUE?
00:27:59That is why the mission that God has asked of them in this time.
00:28:03Is.
00:28:04Really complicated.
00:28:07I'm sure it wasn't so bad for my parents.
00:28:09And perhaps even less so for my grandparents.
00:28:12With my parents.
00:28:14Because there was a world.
00:28:16If not more Christian.
00:28:17If more peaceful.
00:28:20And so...
00:28:22The people.
00:28:24Although perhaps it wasn't as it was said.
00:28:26Very practical.
00:28:28Well, he maintained certain ethical values.
00:28:31The government.
00:28:32He imposed certain restrictions.
00:28:35Censorship.
00:28:36This movie cannot be shown.
00:28:39This type of show is not allowed.
00:28:42These kinds of songs cannot be listened to.
00:28:46No.
00:28:46And what we hear on the radio is absurd.
00:28:49It truly is.
00:28:51It's incredible.
00:28:53It's implausible.
00:28:55That they say vulgar things over the radio.
00:28:57They say.
00:28:58I don't say things with double meanings anymore.
00:29:01Things that are now completely straightforward.
00:29:03TRUE?
00:29:03Saying obscene words.
00:29:08One of the most popular and highly valued stations in the Estrellas de Oro group.
00:29:15It's the most bare station there is.
00:29:18Where the announcers hold absolutely no limits.
00:29:23And all advertisers want to be there.
00:29:25Because?
00:29:25Because it has a tremendous rating.
00:29:29People like to hear nonsense.
00:29:32He likes being bald.
00:29:34He likes being worldly.
00:29:35Pig.
00:29:36And that's what I'm saying.
00:29:41And we're going like salmon.
00:29:43Against.
00:29:46No darling.
00:29:47Listen to Maranatha.
00:29:48Glenda.
00:29:49And this one.
00:29:51You say.
00:29:51Clear.
00:29:52What's that?
00:29:53I see it now with teenagers in school.
00:29:57It's difficult for them.
00:29:59And they come walking with us.
00:30:02His entire school.
00:30:03TRUE?
00:30:03With biblical standards.
00:30:05And many things.
00:30:06Parents' commitment.
00:30:07In the end.
00:30:08And right now.
00:30:10It's a problem.
00:30:13Because right now they are entering the stage of freedom.
00:30:16And they want to be.
00:30:17Like the other little friends.
00:30:20And they have to take it.
00:30:21Sooner or later.
00:30:22They will have to make their choice.
00:30:24Through Christ.
00:30:25Or against Him.
00:30:26We wait.
00:30:29Having been able to give them enough tools.
00:30:32So that.
00:30:32Make an appropriate decision.
00:30:35And don't stop.
00:30:37In the hunter's net.
00:30:40But that's it.
00:30:40As I was saying the other day.
00:30:41In a meeting we had.
00:30:43The acid test.
00:30:44It will be high school.
00:30:47We'll find out then.
00:30:47If we did our job well.
00:30:50Because there they will be free.
00:30:53They will have to make their own decisions then.
00:30:55And that's where we'll measure.
00:30:58If it's our job to educate them.
00:31:00If the tools we gave them during all these years.
00:31:04They were enough.
00:31:05We were convincing.
00:31:07So that in the midst of the pagan world.
00:31:09The one who is going to enter high school.
00:31:12They can support themselves as Christians.
00:31:14And to live a life different from the rest of his classmates.
00:31:18What's more.
00:31:19To be an instrument of God's grace.
00:31:21To attract many of them.
00:31:22Towards the Christian life.
00:31:26We'll know this in a few years.
00:31:28When they enter high school.
00:31:31The basis of Jesus' proposal.
00:31:33For the twelve.
00:31:34Was.
00:31:35Follow me.
00:31:37Imitate me.
00:31:38It matters, therefore.
00:31:41The model.
00:31:42The example.
00:31:44That the children.
00:31:46Look.
00:31:47May your Christianity.
00:31:49It's transparent to them.
00:31:52You don't claim to be a Christian.
00:31:55But you are truly a Christian.
00:31:57There's a date.
00:32:01Which we have already read.
00:32:02In one of the homilies.
00:32:04There are some out there.
00:32:05A homily.
00:32:05Where I try.
00:32:07In depth.
00:32:08This dinner.
00:32:09It is a text from Deuteronomy.
00:32:13In chapter 6.
00:32:16I am allowing myself to read it today.
00:32:18With you.
00:32:21These are the commandments.
00:32:24The laws.
00:32:25And the precepts.
00:32:26May the Lord God.
00:32:26From you.
00:32:27He ordered them to be taught.
00:32:29So they can put them up.
00:32:31In practice.
00:32:31On Earth.
00:32:32To which they are going to pass.
00:32:34To take possession.
00:32:35Her.
00:32:36This way.
00:32:37You will respect.
00:32:38To the Lord.
00:32:38Your God.
00:32:40You.
00:32:41Your children.
00:32:42And your grandchildren.
00:32:44You will observe.
00:32:45Every day.
00:32:45Of your life.
00:32:46The laws.
00:32:47And commandments.
00:32:47That I impose on you today.
00:32:49This is how they will continue.
00:32:50Your days.
00:32:52Listen to them.
00:32:53Israel.
00:32:53And fulfill them.
00:32:54Carefully.
00:32:55So that you may be.
00:32:56Happy.
00:32:57And may you multiply.
00:32:58As promised.
00:32:59The Lord.
00:33:00God of your ancestors.
00:33:02In this land.
00:33:03That which emanates milk and honey.
00:33:05And verse 4.
00:33:07It says the following.
00:33:09Listen to Israel.
00:33:12The Lord.
00:33:12He is our God.
00:33:14The Lord.
00:33:14It's one.
00:33:16You shall love the Lord.
00:33:17Your God.
00:33:17Yet.
00:33:18Your heart.
00:33:19With everything.
00:33:20Your soul.
00:33:20With all of them.
00:33:21Your strength.
00:33:22Accounts.
00:33:23Keep it in your heart.
00:33:24These words.
00:33:25What I'm telling you today.
00:33:28Instill them in them.
00:33:28To your children.
00:33:30And talk to them.
00:33:31Of them.
00:33:31When you're at home.
00:33:32Or when you go.
00:33:33Travel.
00:33:34Lying down.
00:33:35Or raised.
00:33:37Tie them up.
00:33:38At your fingertips.
00:33:38As a sign.
00:33:40Place them.
00:33:40On your forehead.
00:33:41As a sign.
00:33:43Write them down.
00:33:43At the entrance.
00:33:44From your house.
00:33:45And at your doors.
00:33:46See the importance.
00:33:49From this communication.
00:33:51From father to son.
00:33:52This is what you're going to teach him.
00:33:54To your children.
00:33:56Love the Lord.
00:33:57Your God.
00:33:57Yet.
00:33:58Your heart.
00:33:58With all of them.
00:33:59Your strength.
00:34:00Yet.
00:34:00Your being.
00:34:01Nothing else exists.
00:34:02One God.
00:34:02And him.
00:34:03You're going to love it.
00:34:04And you're going to tell him this.
00:34:06When you're at home.
00:34:08When you go on a trip.
00:34:10When you are lying down.
00:34:11Up.
00:34:13It's a persistent thing.
00:34:16How long.
00:34:18You have dedicated.
00:34:19So far.
00:34:21On this side.
00:34:22So important.
00:34:24From the training.
00:34:25From your son.
00:34:26What is religious life?
00:34:28The Christian life.
00:34:30Siblings.
00:34:30Moral life.
00:34:31Moral life.
00:34:32Depends.
00:34:33Of faith.
00:34:35I believe so.
00:34:36In a God.
00:34:37Bloodthirsty.
00:34:38Well, I'll be there.
00:34:39A bloodthirsty man.
00:34:41I believe so.
00:34:42In God.
00:34:43Of peace.
00:34:44I will be.
00:34:44A peaceful man.
00:34:47The rules.
00:34:47That God puts.
00:34:48In their law.
00:34:49Those are the rules.
00:34:51From the ethical life.
00:34:52Of the moral life.
00:34:54That's why.
00:34:55It depends.
00:34:56Of faith.
00:34:57From the image.
00:34:57That I have.
00:34:58From God.
00:34:59That will be the way.
00:35:00How I live.
00:35:02In today's world.
00:35:04God.
00:35:05It's been left.
00:35:06Completely.
00:35:06Outcast.
00:35:08And that's why.
00:35:09Today we live a life.
00:35:11TO.
00:35:11Moral.
00:35:13Not immoral.
00:35:15But amoral.
00:35:16I mean.
00:35:17There is no morality.
00:35:18It doesn't exist.
00:35:19There is no point of reference.
00:35:21Hey.
00:35:21This is good.
00:35:21Or it will be bad.
00:35:23Well, what do you think?
00:35:24How are you feeling right now?
00:35:25To do it.
00:35:26No.
00:35:26I think it's fine.
00:35:27Okay.
00:35:27He was good.
00:35:29He was bad.
00:35:30It doesn't matter.
00:35:32I mean.
00:35:32I feel like doing it right now.
00:35:36Completely.
00:35:38Amoral.
00:35:39There is no morality.
00:35:40Because?
00:35:40Because there is no God.
00:35:42And why is there no God?
00:35:43Because in our homes.
00:35:45There is no God.
00:35:47I didn't have a teacher.
00:35:48That he would tell me about God.
00:35:50At my place.
00:35:51When I was lying down.
00:35:52Up.
00:35:53When I went on trips with him.
00:35:55I mean.
00:35:55When he was in office.
00:35:56Any opportunity.
00:35:57In order to be able to talk about God.
00:35:59I didn't do it.
00:36:01And they were waiting.
00:36:02That the catechist.
00:36:03In an hour and a half.
00:36:04The weekend.
00:36:06He will educate him.
00:36:07And he instructed him.
00:36:08And make him love God.
00:36:09And I could put this on him.
00:36:10In his heart.
00:36:11No, brothers.
00:36:13Well, it can't be done.
00:36:16Needs.
00:36:17A full-time teacher.
00:36:20And that's you.
00:36:22You are the full-time teacher.
00:36:26That's why he says it.
00:36:27That's how you're going to do it.
00:36:31All the time.
00:36:33When you're at home.
00:36:35When you go on a trip.
00:36:36At all times.
00:36:40And Jesus.
00:36:42With all that he did.
00:36:44What did he achieve?
00:36:45Well, in the end.
00:36:47He gave them power.
00:36:50The apostles.
00:36:52They had power now.
00:36:55I don't read the quote.
00:36:56I'll leave it for you.
00:36:57Read it at home.
00:36:58Longtime boyfriend.
00:36:59Matthew.
00:37:0010.
00:37:011.
00:37:03And he called them.
00:37:05And he sent them.
00:37:06But he sent them.
00:37:07Now in power.
00:37:09Power for what?
00:37:11Power to.
00:37:12Taking snakes.
00:37:13In their hands.
00:37:15In order to be able to.
00:37:16To face.
00:37:17The difficult world.
00:37:20That they.
00:37:21They were going to have to face each other.
00:37:23He didn't send them.
00:37:24Without tools.
00:37:27The same power.
00:37:28That he received.
00:37:29That same power.
00:37:31He told them.
00:37:34In the Gospel of Luke.
00:37:37They are in the synoptic tables.
00:37:38But in the Gospel of Luke.
00:37:40Have.
00:37:40Like Jesus.
00:37:41Receive the Holy Spirit.
00:37:43That is what enables him.
00:37:46That gives him power.
00:37:47In order to defeat the demon.
00:37:49To overcome temptations.
00:37:50To preach.
00:37:51To heal.
00:37:52To do all the work that he did.
00:37:54The Holy Spirit.
00:37:57Well.
00:37:58Well.
00:37:59Jesus.
00:38:00It didn't matter to us.
00:38:03He gave us the Holy Spirit.
00:38:05In order to be able to.
00:38:07To carry out the same works that he did.
00:38:10To be able to overcome our temptations.
00:38:12In order to win.
00:38:13The devil's lurking presence.
00:38:15In order to be an instrument of grace.
00:38:17Of love.
00:38:17For charity.
00:38:18For everyone else.
00:38:18He gave us that power.
00:38:25He educated.
00:38:28To his disciples.
00:38:29To be.
00:38:30Leaders.
00:38:32It truly is.
00:38:34Painful.
00:38:35Siblings.
00:38:36That the Christians.
00:38:37Finally.
00:38:38They end up being pagans.
00:38:42That a child.
00:38:43Or a young man.
00:38:45Instead of being able to pull.
00:38:47To a pagan.
00:38:48To the Christian life.
00:38:50The pagan.
00:38:51I pulled it.
00:38:52To worldly life.
00:38:55We are called.
00:38:56To be leaders.
00:38:59The first Christians.
00:39:00In four centuries.
00:39:02They pulled.
00:39:03To all of humanity.
00:39:05They pulled.
00:39:05To the known world.
00:39:07Which was quite complicated.
00:39:09As I was saying a moment ago.
00:39:11And they made him a Christian.
00:39:13And today.
00:39:14Without much difficulty.
00:39:16The world is pulling in different directions.
00:39:18To all our Christians.
00:39:20And so they go.
00:39:21Putting in.
00:39:22To worldly life.
00:39:24Because?
00:39:26Because we haven't prepared them.
00:39:27To be.
00:39:29Leaders.
00:39:31To convince them.
00:39:32That you are the leader.
00:39:34You are the one who has it.
00:39:35The truth.
00:39:37And today.
00:39:37In a world.
00:39:38Where the truth is.
00:39:38It dilutes so much.
00:39:41No.
00:39:41Well, there's the truth.
00:39:42From Buddha.
00:39:42And the truth.
00:39:43From Muhammad.
00:39:43And the truth.
00:39:44From the scientists.
00:39:45And the truth.
00:39:46Even the devil.
00:39:47TRUE?
00:39:50We haven't told them.
00:39:51Because you have the truth.
00:39:53You are the leader.
00:39:54You are the captain.
00:39:57To you, Lord.
00:39:57It also gives you responsibility.
00:40:00Pulling your little friends.
00:40:03I always tell the fifteen-year-olds.
00:40:05Girls.
00:40:06You have a tremendous responsibility.
00:40:08In high school.
00:40:09Or in high school.
00:40:12You have to be the element.
00:40:14The instrument.
00:40:14The bridge.
00:40:16So that.
00:40:17All those holes.
00:40:19They couldn't care less today.
00:40:21The life of the church.
00:40:23They come closer.
00:40:26You are that instrument.
00:40:27You are here in every.
00:40:29Because you came to give thanks to God.
00:40:31That you're turning fifteen.
00:40:34Today it is established again.
00:40:36A commitment to you and the Lord.
00:40:40He called you.
00:40:40From the day of your confirmation.
00:40:42To be his witness.
00:40:45You are that bridge.
00:40:47I can't go to high school.
00:40:48Or to high schools.
00:40:50But you did.
00:40:54Equip them to be leaders.
00:40:56Equip them so they can pull.
00:40:58So that they can regain control.
00:41:01From life.
00:41:02And Christianize it.
00:41:03To be able to build.
00:41:05The kingdom of heaven.
00:41:07That's why the work.
00:41:09From being a catechist.
00:41:11The job of being a dad.
00:41:13Catechist Mom.
00:41:14It's a job.
00:41:16For as long as anyone can remember.
00:41:19We cannot expect results.
00:41:21In the short term.
00:41:24The child starts from a very young age.
00:41:26And listen to God.
00:41:27And God the Father.
00:41:29And God tells us.
00:41:30And don't do this.
00:41:31And we're giving guidance.
00:41:32All his life.
00:41:34Little by little.
00:41:36Like a droplet.
00:41:37Water.
00:41:38That falls onto the stone.
00:41:39Until little by little.
00:41:40It pierces her.
00:41:43But sometimes.
00:41:44The parents.
00:41:44They want to start with the children.
00:41:46At 10 years old.
00:41:48Brother.
00:41:49Are.
00:41:50Now it's really over.
00:41:54Already.
00:41:55It will be little.
00:41:56Whatever you can do.
00:41:57Psychologists say.
00:42:00That the child.
00:42:01Among the first.
00:42:01And the fifth year.
00:42:03It forms what is called.
00:42:04His mental structure.
00:42:08As a friend says.
00:42:09More hair.
00:42:10Fewer hairs.
00:42:12That's what he learned.
00:42:14That consolidated.
00:42:15In those four years.
00:42:16From the first to the fifth year.
00:42:18About that.
00:42:19He will build his platform.
00:42:20Of thought.
00:42:23That's how it will act.
00:42:25That's how he'll live.
00:42:26Those are the rules.
00:42:28Are.
00:42:28The parameters.
00:42:30That were established.
00:42:31At home.
00:42:32That's why today.
00:42:33When the moms.
00:42:34They have to go out to work.
00:42:36At those ages.
00:42:38So delicate.
00:42:40They leave him.
00:42:41At a year and a half.
00:42:42They already accept them.
00:42:42In some schools.
00:42:44And others.
00:42:44Well, in daycare centers.
00:42:45To the.
00:42:46That?
00:42:47Four months.
00:42:47The diet is over.
00:42:49There goes the child.
00:42:50TRUE?
00:42:53And that's where he'll learn.
00:42:55What it's going to give.
00:42:55Solidity.
00:42:57To the structure.
00:42:58Of all his thoughts.
00:43:03With one person.
00:43:04Well then.
00:43:06What can he say to her?
00:43:07Of all this?
00:43:08What will he learn?
00:43:09Her?
00:43:10Look.
00:43:11Just like then.
00:43:12If this is the reality.
00:43:14Social.
00:43:14That we have to live today.
00:43:16My beloved brothers.
00:43:17The commitment.
00:43:18It's still done.
00:43:18Bigger.
00:43:20Because of the short time.
00:43:21What's left for me?
00:43:22After my work.
00:43:23It has to be.
00:43:24Of a certain quality.
00:43:25Awesome.
00:43:26Not only that.
00:43:27In letting him do it.
00:43:28Whatever he wants.
00:43:29Because sometimes.
00:43:29That's what happens.
00:43:30I feel so much remorse.
00:43:32When I arrive.
00:43:33If the orphan.
00:43:34He wants to do it.
00:43:34Whatever he wants.
00:43:35Because that's what he did all day.
00:43:37And when I arrive.
00:43:38He wants to continue.
00:43:40And I want to bring order to it.
00:43:42And she starts to cry.
00:43:44And then.
00:43:44No, my little boy.
00:43:46And then.
00:43:47Well.
00:43:47It smells.
00:43:49Of course, that's why.
00:43:50Today we have.
00:43:51Some orchards.
00:43:52Amazing.
00:43:53They're used to it.
00:43:54Let's do it.
00:43:55All.
00:43:56And that's their mental structure.
00:43:58That's not going to change.
00:43:59That's enough.
00:44:02It develops.
00:44:04It is modified slightly.
00:44:05But.
00:44:06It's the structure.
00:44:09The order.
00:44:10You learn at that age.
00:44:11A child.
00:44:12In the early years.
00:44:13He doesn't learn to be tidy.
00:44:16Never be tidy.
00:44:20A child.
00:44:21At that age.
00:44:21He doesn't learn to read.
00:44:23Enjoy.
00:44:24Through reading.
00:44:27The little story.
00:44:29The figurine.
00:44:31The little book.
00:44:33He's not going to read.
00:44:37Great commitment.
00:44:40Great commitment.
00:44:41That's why.
00:44:43Something that's been around forever.
00:44:45Siblings.
00:44:46The people.
00:44:46When he brings the children to us.
00:44:48Here.
00:44:48At eight years old.
00:44:50It's just beginning.
00:44:51That's where it's starting.
00:44:52The Christian life.
00:44:53About that child.
00:44:53It's just beginning.
00:44:54Very late.
00:44:57It's just beginning.
00:44:58Very late.
00:45:01I see.
00:45:02For example.
00:45:02In children.
00:45:04They leave them with their grandmothers.
00:45:06And the grandmothers.
00:45:07They come here for mass.
00:45:09I mean.
00:45:09They're people.
00:45:10Active Christian.
00:45:11The child.
00:45:12He's going to be a good Christian.
00:45:14He's not going to fight.
00:45:16He learned it.
00:45:17At this stage.
00:45:18For him.
00:45:19The Mass.
00:45:20The prayers.
00:45:21Because of grandma.
00:45:21He taught her to pray.
00:45:22The Lord's Prayer.
00:45:23And the guardian angel.
00:45:24And he used to come here.
00:45:25And he prayed.
00:45:26And it went well for him.
00:45:27Was.
00:45:28Getting used to it.
00:45:29To this media outlet.
00:45:31That child.
00:45:31When I grow up.
00:45:32We're not going to have any.
00:45:33Great difficulty.
00:45:33To be a good Christian.
00:45:37Because that's what he saw.
00:45:38That's what he knew.
00:45:41It's a job.
00:45:42For as long as anyone can remember.
00:45:43It's a job.
00:45:45Truly.
00:45:45That.
00:45:46Bring the parents in.
00:45:47In a dynamic.
00:45:48It goes much further than that.
00:45:50About education.
00:45:51Human.
00:45:51That they will receive.
00:45:52In any school.
00:45:54Because those are concepts.
00:45:56And the concepts change.
00:45:58Does.
00:45:59A thousand years.
00:46:00They believed the world was flat.
00:46:03The concepts changed.
00:46:05No.
00:46:05It's not flat.
00:46:06It's round.
00:46:06Oh wow.
00:46:07Well.
00:46:07It's round.
00:46:09They change.
00:46:10Technology has made us.
00:46:11To think that.
00:46:13Well, today.
00:46:14Practically.
00:46:15Nothing is impossible.
00:46:17TRUE?
00:46:18To reach the moon.
00:46:19Reaching other planets.
00:46:20I don't know.
00:46:20What will our life be like?
00:46:21In 50 years.
00:46:22I haven't the faintest idea.
00:46:26But the Christian life.
00:46:28It never changes.
00:46:30Morality.
00:46:32The values.
00:46:33Dad's relationship.
00:46:35Mother.
00:46:35Son.
00:46:36The love between siblings.
00:46:38The love between parents.
00:46:39Love for friends.
00:46:40Honesty.
00:46:41The order.
00:46:43That never changes.
00:46:45And that's something you learn.
00:46:46At home.
00:46:48Not at university.
00:46:49This mission.
00:46:52Of course.
00:46:53What will it involve?
00:46:55Many sacrifices.
00:46:57Jesus.
00:46:59In the Gospel of Saint Luke.
00:47:02He was saying to his disciples.
00:47:04Precisely.
00:47:06Regarding this difficulty.
00:47:08In chapter 14.
00:47:11In verses 25 to 27.
00:47:14Jesus says.
00:47:14Because many people followed him.
00:47:19Jesus addressed them.
00:47:20And he said to them.
00:47:22If anyone wants to come with me.
00:47:23And he's not willing to give up.
00:47:25To his father.
00:47:26To his mother.
00:47:27To his wife.
00:47:28To their children.
00:47:29Brothers and sisters.
00:47:31Even himself.
00:47:33He cannot be my disciple.
00:47:35He who does not carry his cross.
00:47:37And he's coming behind me.
00:47:38He cannot be my disciple.
00:47:41Everything is relative to the great mission.
00:47:49But today we prefer to sacrifice the son.
00:47:52To sacrifice cinema.
00:47:54To sacrifice football.
00:47:56We are not willing.
00:48:02To sacrifice what we like.
00:48:05In favor of a value.
00:48:07Transcendent as it is.
00:48:08To raise my son.
00:48:09So that in 15 years.
00:48:11He can have a happy life.
00:48:14Maybe.
00:48:15Having learned to love his father.
00:48:17Respect it.
00:48:18Love him.
00:48:19Serve it.
00:48:21That it has the qualities.
00:48:23And the capacity.
00:48:24In order to form a stable family.
00:48:27To love a woman for a lifetime.
00:48:30And not to use it for one's own benefit.
00:48:32And then abandon her at 3 or 4 years old.
00:48:34And look for someone else.
00:48:36So that she can have love for her children.
00:48:38And do the same.
00:48:40What you did for them.
00:48:43That's how you have to hand it over.
00:48:45To the world, to your son.
00:48:47A man.
00:48:48A capable woman.
00:48:49To be happy.
00:48:51And to make people happy.
00:48:53To other people.
00:48:57But we don't see it.
00:48:59And so we prefer our rest.
00:49:01We prefer our football.
00:49:03We prefer our television.
00:49:06We prefer our friends.
00:49:08Spend half an hour with your child.
00:49:11To tell him about the Lord.
00:49:12To start praying with him.
00:49:19Everything has to be relative to the mission.
00:49:22It does not mean what Jesus says.
00:49:24This is what we just heard.
00:49:26Well, that means you won't love your dad anymore.
00:49:28Or to his mother.
00:49:29No.
00:49:30More than.
00:49:31It's relative.
00:49:35It relates to the mission.
00:49:38Boys.
00:49:38If you want to follow me.
00:49:40I know they love their parents very much.
00:49:42And it's great that they love them.
00:49:43And that they receive care.
00:49:44But first there's the mission.
00:49:48And the mission that God gave you.
00:49:50It's about raising your child.
00:49:52And make him a good man.
00:49:53A good Christian.
00:49:55People think he might be a good man.
00:49:57Without God in their hearts.
00:49:58It's impossible.
00:50:01It's impossible.
00:50:03I'm the one training him.
00:50:05To be a good man.
00:50:06And a good woman.
00:50:06And I don't need God.
00:50:08You're wrong.
00:50:10And don't believe me.
00:50:13Wait.
00:50:1415 years old.
00:50:17And then.
00:50:19We talked.
00:50:22And I'm not saying that much.
00:50:23TRUE?
00:50:24Just wait.
00:50:25Let him be a teenager.
00:50:26And you'll see.
00:50:26How will your son answer you?
00:50:27Godless.
00:50:29It's terrible.
00:50:30Holes that.
00:50:31They kick their parents.
00:50:33To their mothers.
00:50:34They beat them.
00:50:34They throw things at them.
00:50:36You have no reason to get involved.
00:50:37I'm not going to tell you where I'm going.
00:50:41You're going to leave the house.
00:50:43I'm not leaving the house.
00:50:44They are told about curses.
00:50:45And they shout at them.
00:50:46It's a real thing.
00:50:47Awesome.
00:50:48What is happening in some families today.
00:50:51And then comes Mom.
00:50:52Tell me.
00:50:53Father.
00:50:53What I do?
00:50:54Well, pray, sister.
00:50:55What you should have done.
00:50:58You should have done it.
00:50:59When I had one.
00:51:00One.
00:51:01Two.
00:51:01Three.
00:51:01Four.
00:51:02Five years.
00:51:02Right now.
00:51:03What are you doing?
00:51:03Well.
00:51:04At fifteen years old.
00:51:05At fourteen years old.
00:51:06When you're hanging out with a group of slackers.
00:51:09When he treats you like.
00:51:10If you were anything.
00:51:12Well, that's it.
00:51:12What are you doing?
00:51:13Well.
00:51:15Pray.
00:51:15TRUE?
00:51:15Ask the Lord.
00:51:16That later.
00:51:17Well.
00:51:18Something happens in his life.
00:51:19Find a good woman.
00:51:21A good friend.
00:51:22Let him pull it.
00:51:23Some experience.
00:51:24Let him move his life.
00:51:26And bring him back to the path of the Lord.
00:51:28I mean.
00:51:28What are you doing?
00:51:29Well.
00:51:30There's really not much left right now.
00:51:32You're not far behind.
00:51:32At fifteen years old.
00:51:33What to do with a teenager?
00:51:36Your time is up.
00:51:39At that time.
00:51:40You were very busy.
00:51:41With other things.
00:51:42You didn't want to sacrifice.
00:51:43Nothing.
00:51:45Well, there you have it.
00:51:48Everything is relative.
00:51:49To our mission, brothers.
00:51:50And we have to value it.
00:51:51Truly this mission.
00:51:54Be mindful of what we teach.
00:51:58It will be what they are.
00:52:00They will have something for the future.
00:52:01As a tool to present oneself to the world.
00:52:07They will have no more.
00:52:10Maybe they'll learn.
00:52:12Calculus and mathematics.
00:52:13And spelling.
00:52:14And well.
00:52:15And they're going to have a very good job.
00:52:17And that will make them happy.
00:52:20If they don't know how to get along with others.
00:52:24Say.
00:52:24If they even arrive.
00:52:25To finish school.
00:52:26TRUE?
00:52:27Because along the way.
00:52:28They're going to find the lazy race.
00:52:32And so.
00:52:33What will their life be like?
00:52:33Well.
00:52:34Who knows?
00:52:34Let us not be afraid, brothers.
00:52:41To face this challenge.
00:52:43God gives to us.
00:52:45All the gifts we need.
00:52:47He equips us.
00:52:49For this.
00:52:50That's why I was telling you.
00:52:51Like Jesus at his baptism.
00:52:53Receive.
00:52:55God equips him.
00:52:56With the Holy Spirit.
00:52:57So that you can do it.
00:53:00Absolutely.
00:53:00The work I was asking for.
00:53:03The day you got married.
00:53:06God poured out on you.
00:53:08Two thanks.
00:53:10Impressive.
00:53:11Wonderful.
00:53:13He gave you the gift of faithfulness.
00:53:15And He gave you the gift.
00:53:17Of wisdom.
00:53:19Fidelity.
00:53:20For the couple.
00:53:21I can maintain a stable relationship.
00:53:24Loving.
00:53:26Perfect.
00:53:27And perpetual.
00:53:29Without that gift.
00:53:31Growth spurts.
00:53:32Pulls.
00:53:34Infidelity.
00:53:35That range from thought.
00:53:37Even physical matters.
00:53:41But He also gave you wisdom.
00:53:43To educate your children.
00:53:46You'll never be able to tell him.
00:53:47Nobody taught me.
00:53:50You didn't need anyone to teach you.
00:53:52I gave you a gift.
00:53:55The day you got married.
00:53:56I gave you that gift.
00:53:58And the day I gave you your first child.
00:54:00I expanded it.
00:54:02And I made it visible.
00:54:05But that gift only works when you are in a state of grace.
00:54:09Were you living in grace?
00:54:10No.
00:54:13I gave you a refrigerator with gusto.
00:54:17But my food spoiled.
00:54:19Hey.
00:54:20Come.
00:54:21Did you connect it?
00:54:23No.
00:54:24Uh-huh.
00:54:27I gave it to you.
00:54:28The refrigerator.
00:54:29So that your food wouldn't spoil.
00:54:32You could store meat there.
00:54:33Make ice cubes.
00:54:34Have cold water.
00:54:36Add vegetables.
00:54:37You had everything.
00:54:38I gave it to you on your wedding day.
00:54:40Look, here it is.
00:54:41Looking forward to it.
00:54:41But you never connected it.
00:54:45Well, everything you put in there would spoil.
00:54:48And then you come and tell me.
00:54:51Lord, my son has gone bad.
00:54:53And then.
00:54:54What are you demanding from me?
00:54:57I gave you everything.
00:55:01But you lived in grace.
00:55:03No.
00:55:05So how did you expect the gift to work?
00:55:08Gifts don't work if there is no sanctifying grace.
00:55:11That is why many marriages fail in their unity.
00:55:19Because the gift of faithfulness isn't working.
00:55:22They don't go to mass.
00:55:22They do not confess.
00:55:23They do not take communion.
00:55:24They don't pray.
00:55:25Funny.
00:55:25Zero.
00:55:26Gift?
00:55:29Which?
00:55:33My son went astray.
00:55:35Did you take communion?
00:55:38Were you praying?
00:55:38No?
00:55:40You made the wrong decisions.
00:55:43The gift of wisdom was there.
00:55:45I gave it to you.
00:55:46God would be very unfair if He did not give us all the gifts and all the graces that we need.
00:55:51for the mission he entrusted to us.
00:55:56That would be very unfair.
00:55:58It would be very unfair if he had appointed me as pastor.
00:56:00I would have become a pastor of a community.
00:56:02And He wouldn't have given me the gifts I need for this community to move forward.
00:56:07I could tell him, "Lord, you were very unfair."
00:56:11I had to preach to them, but I didn't have the gift of preaching.
00:56:14I was supposed to heal my sick, but you didn't give me the gift to heal them.
00:56:18I was supposed to lead it, and you didn't give me the wisdom and knowledge to know what to do at every moment.
00:56:23Hey sir, you really messed up.
00:56:24How did you want me to handle it?
00:56:27But it's not going to be like that.
00:56:28When I get to heaven, he's going to tell me I gave you everything.
00:56:34It was enough that you lived in grace and that you, being a pastor of the church, had a much greater responsibility than you.
00:56:41so that you could have a life of total and complete intimacy with me.
00:56:46You didn't have it.
00:56:48It's not my fault.
00:56:49It's your fault.
00:56:50God has given you all the equipment, brothers.
00:56:57Use it.
00:57:00Let God's gifts be fully manifested in your life.
00:57:05That gift of wisdom will give you all the knowledge you need internally to say yes when you need to say yes to your child.
00:57:14And no, when you have to say no, it will give you the strength to stand firm in the decision you have received from God as inspiration to say yes or no.
00:57:29They will have everything they need to guide their children on the path of truth, on the path of justice.
00:57:35to be true children of God living in his kingdom.
00:57:44I'll end with a quote that I always like a lot.
00:57:48John 20:19
00:57:50Jesus appears before his disciples and tells them
00:57:56Peace be with you.
00:58:00Peace be with you.
00:58:05This topic might leave us feeling a little like this.
00:58:09well
00:58:12Distressed, aren't they?
00:58:16But I think it's better to know the truth.
00:58:20This is what's coming.
00:58:22This is what many of you who already have teenagers will already be experiencing.
00:58:25And those who already have grown children,
00:58:29who has a piggy bank here,
00:58:33who has his youngest son here,
00:58:34He'll know I'm not lying to him.
00:58:41This is the truth.
00:58:44But we must maintain peace.
00:58:47Does the world to come scare me?
00:58:49Yeah.
00:58:51Do I see the great responsibility I have?
00:58:55Yeah.
00:58:55Do I feel the strength to keep going?
00:59:00Yeah.
00:59:04I don't lose my peace.
00:59:06I know God is with me.
00:59:09I'll do what I can.
00:59:12I invite you.
00:59:14I pressure them.
00:59:18I try to convince them.
00:59:19The rest, well, that's up to God, right?
00:59:28I don't lose my peace.
00:59:31I see a difficult world.
00:59:33I see a complicated world.
00:59:35But I don't lose my peace.
00:59:37I know God has given me
00:59:38what I need
00:59:40for, in the community I am in,
00:59:43to help my community thrive.
00:59:44So, well, simply
00:59:46I stay connected online.
00:59:50I ask for what I don't have,
00:59:51what I can't.
00:59:53And to the extent that I can,
00:59:55Well, I do everything.
00:59:56until the very last effort.
00:59:58And I don't lose my peace.
01:00:00A difficult undertaking?
01:00:02Yeah.
01:00:04But it's not mine,
01:00:05It is His.
01:00:07He entrusted this community to me.
01:00:09Told me,
01:00:10They are your sheep.
01:00:11Take them along the way.
01:00:14Very well, sir.
01:00:15I'll do that.
01:00:17He gave you a son,
01:00:18two children,
01:00:19or I don't know how many children.
01:00:21And he told you,
01:00:22Make disciples.
01:00:24I will be with you.
01:00:27I will thank you,
01:00:29the gifts.
01:00:29Don't be afraid.
01:00:31Don't lose your peace.
01:00:32Lord, but the world,
01:00:34And look,
01:00:34and the internet,
01:00:35and drugs,
01:00:36and all this topic
01:00:37of sexuality,
01:00:38and all this stuff.
01:00:40Don't worry.
01:00:42Do as I tell you.
01:00:45Nothing else.
01:00:45The rest,
01:00:46I'll do it.
01:00:48They won't get lost, Lord.
01:00:50if you do
01:00:51what you have to do.
01:00:53No.
01:00:55If you are their teacher,
01:00:58If you take care of them,
01:01:00if you truly
01:01:01Do you accept this mission?
01:01:04to train them,
01:01:05if you choose them
01:01:06like yours
01:01:07to make them,
01:01:08like I did
01:01:09with my disciples,
01:01:10true disciples,
01:01:12followers of the gospel,
01:01:14Not one will get lost.
01:01:16I'll take care of it
01:01:17of the rest.
01:01:19But, Lord,
01:01:20Don't be afraid.
01:01:23I'll take care of it
01:01:24of the rest.
01:01:25So do not be afraid,
01:01:29my brothers,
01:01:29the Lord promised
01:01:30be with us,
01:01:32assist us,
01:01:33and has given us
01:01:34Thank you all
01:01:35that we need
01:01:35to get ahead
01:01:37to our family.
01:01:39All we have to do is
01:01:40what He asks of us.
01:01:43Hopefully then
01:01:44that each one,
01:01:47I'll put on the music for you.
01:01:48from Mission Impossible,
01:01:49that each one
01:01:52Accept this mission
01:01:53and insist
01:01:56in bringing it forward.
01:01:58As a pastor,
01:01:59for my part,
01:02:00I commit
01:02:01with you,
01:02:01help them
01:02:02as much as I can,
01:02:04in such a way
01:02:04that together
01:02:05we can do
01:02:05of these children
01:02:06true citizens
01:02:08of the King.
01:02:09Praise be to Jesus.
01:02:10Thank you!
