01:08Isasabay na rin dyan ang pag-convene ng impeachment court, panunumpan ng mga senator judge, at pag-i-issue ng summons para sumagot ang kampo ng bisay at ng prosekusyon.
01:17Pero mangyari man lahat ng ito ngayong 19th Congress, sabi ni Senate President Chief Escudero, hindi rin ito matatali ang mga senador sa 20th Congress.

05:00Dagdag ni Tolentino, labindalawang senador lang ang maiiwan at wala ng quorum ang Senado.
05:05The trial required by Article 11, Section 3-4 of the Constitution to proceed forthwith
05:12will begin only on June 11, dangerously close to the end of the 19th Congress.
05:19This delay compromises due process and undermines our role as an impeachment court.
05:26If we cannot conclude the trial before June 30, 2025,
05:30we must recognize this impeachment case is functionally dismissed by constitutional operation
05:41and no action can be taken by the 20th Congress on the matter for lack of constitutional authority.
05:50Sabi naman ni Senate Minority Leader Coco Pimentel,
05:53walang nakasaad sa konstitusyon na pwedeng ituloy o hindi pwedeng ituloy
05:58ng susunod na kongreso ang isang impeachment complaint.
06:01Pero ayon-ano yan sa Senate rules, pwede ituloy ng Senado ang impeachment trial.
06:05Jurisdiction, once acquired, is not lost but continues until the case is terminated
06:14and hopefully terminated to its logical end.
06:19Hence, it is my humble opinion that the trial of the current impeachment case,
06:26now pending before the Senate of the 19th Congress,
06:29can cross over or continue from the 19th Congress to the 20th Congress.
06:35The impeachment duket of the Senate impeachment court continues and remains to be the same.
