Transcript
00:00Hello, it's Graeme Bean from the Scotsman at Scottsdale Stadium in Glasgow, where the
00:05Glasgow Warriors have just beaten the Stormers by 36 points to 18 in the quarterfinals of
00:11the United Rugby Championship. Glasgow, the defending champions, scored five tries in
00:16the night. They really were back to their best form after a kind of indifferent run.
00:21They lost the last three games of the regular URC season, but were much more like their
00:25old selves tonight. He scored two tries through Kyle Rowe, and won a piece from Rory Dard,
00:32Panko Penter, and the try of the night from George Horn, a brilliant team try, which the
00:38Scum have then converted. That was Horn's 13th try of the season, and he was one of several
00:44outstanding performers. Dard, Penter, both excellent for Glasgow, as was Tom Jordan's standoff,
00:52from Gouley, back to his own self. The win means Glasgow are through to the semifinals,
00:58and they will discover on Saturday who they will play, and be the winner of the tie between
01:02Leinster and Scarlets in Dublin. If Leinster win, Glasgow will travel to Dublin next weekend,
01:09but if it's the Scarlets, Glasgow will have home advantage at the semifinals.
01:12The Stormers came and made a game of it, and they scored two tries through their winger,
01:19Cibolo Sinalta, who's also yellow carded on a lively night. They got back to the one point
01:26at the start, near the beginning of the second half, but Glasgow were too strong and pulled
01:31away. Final score again from Scotson, Glasgow Warriors 36, the Stormers 18.
