01:44What exactly is the gold-silver ratio?
01:46This is quite easy to understand.
01:48A ratio is nothing other than a relationship.
01:51The gold-silver ratio is the ratio of gold to silver.
01:55In other words, it indicates how many ounces of silver you can buy for one ounce of gold.
02:00It is calculated by dividing the current gold price by the silver price.
02:05You can view both values online at any time.
02:07Let's give an example to make it even clearer to you.
02:10For this example, assume the price of gold is $2,800 per ounce.
02:15The price of silver at 25 dollars.
02:17The ratio in our example would be calculated by dividing 2800 by 25.
02:22This results in a ratio of 112.
02:25According to the example, one ounce of gold would be worth as much as 112 ounces of silver.
02:30So you see, it's really not difficult to determine the ratio.
02:33But it is enormously important and can be a real return rocket.

02:39For a more precise classification, let us take a look at the historical development of the ratio.
02:44For years the ratio was around 15 to 1.
02:48This is because silver is about 15 times more abundant in the Earth's crust than gold.
02:53In recent decades, the ratio has been between 40 and 90.
02:56The low in 2011 was around 30 and we have now reached the high.
03:02This also has to do with the fact that the price of gold has risen extremely recently.

03:11This means that silver is currently extremely undervalued according to the ratio.
03:15If you consider that there has been an ever-increasing silver deficit for years,
