00:00Hi, I'm Dan from Tom's Guide here at CES 2025, checking out the MoGo Power Pants.
00:06These bad boys come from Arteryx and Skip, and they're essentially a set of electric-powered
00:11motors for your legs to help you hike further, faster, and longer. Kind of like an e-bike,
00:16and we're going to take them for a spin on the staircase over here and get a sense for
00:19how they feel. Already, though, I can tell you, they're pretty sweet.
00:30So the MoGo Pants have five power assist settings. I have them maxed out right now,
00:38so they should really give me an advantage going up this staircase. And actually, that's
00:41one of the main selling points of the Pants, is they can help you hike up and down with
00:45much more ease. So let's give it a go. So right now, I can feel pressure on both my front and
00:50back legs. Yep, on the back of my calves. And it's really, it's assisting. It's a little
00:56weird. It takes a little getting used to, but I feel like, in time, I could totally
01:01rock these. Another thing worth noting is this is a prototype, but the final version
01:06will be able to analyze your gait and stride and make adjustments in real time to help you
01:10get the most out of the Pants. Again, five power settings, so you can kind of dial up and
01:15down how much, you know, extra oomph you get on your hike. But yeah, they feel really good.
01:20Now, you're probably wondering, how can I get my own pair of MoGo Power Pants? Well, they're not
01:24available yet, but for $99, you can pre-order a pair, which will eventually ship for between
01:29$4,500 and $5,000. You can also sign up to test them out by going to skipwithjoy.com.
01:36For Tom's Guide, I'm Dan Berkaya, signing off from the CES show floor.
