00:21It is uncertain whether the new restrictions are intended to strengthen the U.S. position
00:25in ongoing trade negotiations with China.
00:26The Commerce Department stated that it is reviewing exports of strategic importance
00:30and has, in some cases, suspended licenses or added new requirements during the review.
00:36Shares of Cadence and Synopsys dropped on Wednesday by 10.7% and 9.6%, respectively.
