00:00A weekend series begins up in the sixth in Toronto
00:03between the Blue Jays and the A's.
00:05Total eight and a half.
00:06Toronto with Jose Barrios on the bump.
00:08DRS a minus 162 now.
00:11So the odds working in their favor.
00:13Home Moneyline favorite.
00:15The Blue Jays did take two of three this week
00:17against the Texas Rangers,
00:18but still a game under 500.
00:21Trying to use this weekend set to get above 500
00:24and maybe somebody, if anybody,
00:26providing any glimpse of a test to the New York Yankees.
00:29Yeah, probably leaning more towards an under in this game.
00:31The reason so, you take a look at the Blue Jays,
00:32who do have some guys with some above average ISO power numbers
00:35and weighted on base percentages against left-handed pitchers
00:37who will be Jacob Lopez.
00:39Only 66 total batters he's faced on the season.
00:41But get this, like Guerrero's high, Springer's high,
00:44Clement's high, which means they're all right-handed batters.
00:47You say, okay, that makes sense.
00:48Left-handed pitcher, right-handed batters.
00:49That's probably where he struggles.
00:50But just looking at some of the totals,
00:5252 batters he's faced this season.
00:54067 ISO against and a 305 weighted on base percentage.
00:57If you take those numbers from full season
00:59and take them down to the last 30 days,
01:01it's an 094 ISO and a 309 weighted on base percentage
01:04to right-handed batters.
01:05So as much as you like Vladdy and Springer and Clement,
01:08you say, all right, the numbers really don't pan out
01:10because look at the rest of the roster here.
01:12You're not even going to get a single left-handed batter
01:14anticipated in the lineup today going up against the Oakland,
01:17excuse me, the A starter at this point.
01:19So I go under.
01:20You flip it over to the other side.
01:21Jose Barrios is on the mound.
01:23Quality pitcher, but it actually has struggled
01:24against left-handed batters.
01:26But again tonight, only possibly three left-handed batters.
01:28The one guy that I do expect to do some damage
01:31at the top of the lineup,
01:32we're going to take him for maybe a base hit,
01:33maybe for a run, an RBI, or even a home run.
01:35It's Lawrence Butler.
01:3681 at-bats against right-handed pitching,
01:38excuse me, over the past 30 days.
01:40A 389 weighted on base percentage
01:42and an ISO of 263.
01:43He'll probably get four to five at-bats tonight,
01:45but everybody else in that lineup
01:46leaves a lot to be desired here.
01:48More leaning towards an under than anything in this game.
