Former congressman Arnolfo Teves Jr. is escorted out of the Ministry of Interior on May 29, 2025 on their way to a plane that will take him back to Manila where he is facing charges of multiple murder that included the assassination of Negros Oriental governor Roel Degamo in March 2023. The Timor-Leste government ordered the deportation of Teves, shortly after his arrest, on May 28 as his continued stay in the country represented a 'serious and unacceptable situation.'
