Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door's fake language translated!

00:00So Nintendo, they just put out this new trailer, I guess.

00:03They basically just posted the intro for the Thousand-Year Remastered or Remake or whatever

00:08it's called.

00:10The new intro looks really cool, you know, check it out obviously, but one thing really

00:14cool that I noticed is the text in the actual book.

00:19So in the original game, you know, it was just basically a bunch of symbols because

00:25the actual text was right here, but in the original, the book, it just had like a star

00:32symbol, a fire flower, you know, just like random stuff.

00:35But I noticed here, it's not like random symbols, it's just like lines and stuff.

00:41And if you go back here, the first line of the book is an awfully long time ago, and this

00:49almost looks like the word awfully, and like the next line, strange, this sort of looks

00:55like the word strange.

00:56And that's when I realized they made their own language for this.

01:00They didn't just use like a star symbol, a mushroom symbol like last time.

01:05They actually made something that you can translate into English.

01:09So this is what I was able to find, if it's a little blurry, there's going to be like a

01:13slightly higher quality version of this picture on my Twitter account.

01:18But I was able to find most of the letters just like, you know, I couldn't find the letter

01:21Q, the letter X, you know.

01:25But like for the most part, it matches exactly what's in the text at the bottom, like right

01:32here.

01:33And I just think it's really cool that they, you know, went through all the extra effort.

01:37They didn't have to do that.

01:38They could have just used a mushroom picture, a star, you know, like what they did last time.

01:43But instead they made like an actual new language specifically for that book.

01:48Um, you know, maybe when the game comes out, there's going to be more spots in the game

01:53that has these like, you know, symbols.

01:56So maybe other stuff can be translated as well.

01:59I know recently someone put out a video where they translated the text in Super Mario Sunshine.

02:10But it looks like it's basically the same sort of thing, just like, you know, a cute

02:14little fake language for this game's world.
