00:00You know that the vision of Sagar was announced by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in March 2015 in Mauritius.
00:15And 10 years later, Prime Minister Modi announced the vision of Mahasagar also in Mauritius just two months back.
00:28So, it is an elevation of the previous idea and the fundamental difference is that now the template for cooperation would be expanded and in addition, the region where Mahasagar would be applicable would not just be the narrow region of Indian Ocean Islands or even Indian Ocean,
00:56but it will be expanded and extend to the entire global south region.
01:03That's why there was a mention of mutual and holistic development across the regions.
01:11So, it will go into Asia, Africa, hopefully Latin America and other places.
01:18It is a very ambitious vision.
01:21It is now for the strategic community to give solid conceptualization to it and come up with a program for the consideration of our authorities.
