00:16She's in the past relationships and stuff.

00:18Cats were a no-go.

00:20He just dropped off.

00:21Not one, not two, but five kittens.

00:26The green flags are definitely there.

00:29Four of them are boys, and that one back there is the girl.

00:33That's the only girl.

00:35The first night that we brought home the kittens,

00:38he was laying in the bathroom, and he had his phone

00:41with a little fish video playing,

00:43and the kittens were all sitting there watching it.

00:46That's when I knew that Horatio was a keeper.

00:52My previous partners didn't like cats.

00:54I kind of felt a piece of my heart missing a little bit,

00:56so it was sad.

00:58How are you guys doing?

01:00I was like, well, I like cats.

01:01I was never allowed to have one, and she grew up with them.

01:04So working for the police, we run across dogs and cats.

01:08I'm always the officer to go down and ask about the animals.

01:12Hey, buddy.

01:13What's your name?

01:15A lot of the times, with animal control,

01:17they just don't have the resources to take care of smaller animals.

01:20So fostering is just a really big help.

01:23For the next few days, they started to open up more.

01:26Open?

01:27Is that all okay?

01:28Hey, buddy.

01:30He-he-he-he.

01:31They started to play and be more comfortable.

01:37Oh, good job!

01:39They feel safe enough to explore and fall asleep on your lap.

01:45Our resident cat loves them.

01:48It's just so funny to see them also grow a bond with these foster kittens.

01:54So the kittens, they grew really fast, and about a week or two later,

02:05they were ready to be adopted out.

02:08We've been able to adopt out two kittens so far.

02:12It's always hard on adoption day,

02:13because I'm usually bringing them home in the cop car.

02:17But then, you know, the updates that they provide kind of ease that pain a little bit.

02:22We love getting update photos.

02:24It's almost hard to believe how much they've grown.

02:28Being able to do something good together

02:30has definitely changed our life for the better.

02:34We're getting married in November.

02:35Hopefully after that, buying a house.

02:38First remodel to the house is getting an outdoor catio for a guest.

02:41He watches videos on YouTube for like hours a day on how to build a catio.
