00:30B.J.D. protested because of the recent pronouncement of the state government to give reservation
00:46for OBC in educational institutions limiting to 11.25 percent, which is injustice because
00:53if you compare with the population and our demand is B.J.D.'s demand, we have a large chunk
01:04of ST population in Oresa and OBC population. So demographic representation should be there,
01:16percentage should be there, proportionate reservation should be there for all these
01:21three sections. And merely because all India, the OBC, all India averages 27 percent reservation
01:29is being given. In Odessa, we have ACST population around 39 percent. Only 20 percent are giving
01:37the educational reservation. So our demand is let it be extended to 39 percent for ACST.
01:43And for OBC, at least 27 percent should be down instead of 11.25 percent as pronounced
01:48by the Mohan Maji government. There is a demand and His Excellency Governor of the President
01:53hearing and he said that the demand we have submitted a memorandum. In which it was demanded
02:00that it should be extended to the professional education, technical education and medical education
02:05as well. B.J.D. is the party of people. Our caste, our caste demography says 54 percent OBC people
02:15are here. Even 38 and 38.75 percent ACST people. Recently, the state government, Bharti Jantrapati
02:26led government, they have announced to give reservation in general education. They have excluded the
02:33engineering, medical and technical education. We demand, we have been demanding this OBC 27 percent
02:42people. People should get and the total ACST 38.75 percent they should get in engineering
02:49engineering and medical and technical subjects.
