00:00And of course, for Anthony Edwards, this is now the second year in a row where he is in the Western Conference Final.
00:07Last year, he came off a tough seven-game series and did not start well and ended up losing to Dallas in the West Final.
00:14Now back for the second year in a row.
00:17Has he learned anything?
00:18Well, the rest is certainly going to help him.
00:20Does it feel different this year versus last year just in terms of the emotions of that Denver series
00:25and kind of what you guys were feeling versus this time around?
00:30Yeah, because we got a little break.
00:32We got like four or five days to rest up, get treatment.
00:36So, yeah, it feels a little different.
00:38A lot more rested for sure.
00:41And what's the benefit having gone through this last year, like knowing what to expect and how you have to prepare for this?
00:48I don't know.
00:49It's not really – there's no benefits of going through it last year.
00:52Just trying to be more prepared this year and not come out sluggish in game one with all this time that we have.
00:58Yeah, I just don't agree with any of that.
01:02Like you're sitting here telling me there was no effect at all of being in the Western Final last year and losing.
01:09That it did nothing to help you or get you ready for this another chance.
01:16I think it has to.
01:18I remember if you look at the Bulls, they kept losing to the Pistons, right?
01:23And then they finally beat them.
01:24Don't tell me they didn't figure them out.
01:27I think playing last year, you have to figure out what you did wrong and don't do it again and get better than you were last year.
01:37I agree with him about the rest.
01:39I think any team at this point, it benefits them to have three or four days off for their bodies and to get treatment, et cetera.
01:48Because let me tell you something.
01:50Like if you ball a lot, like I do, you – like I just don't like – you know, when I go there in the morning at 6 a.m., I play.
02:00We tip at 6 in the morning.
02:01I don't go in there and start – like I'll shoot a few shots.
02:04But I'm not going to – like you know how these guys warm up for an hour before these games?
02:09Like I'll literally – before I play, I'll be like, I don't need to shoot.
02:16I play basketball six days a week.
02:18They play all the time.
02:20They play for seven months.
02:22They can play ball.
02:23They can take three days off and get better with their bodies and then go out and deal as sure as I'm sitting here.
02:29Guys that play ball every day, play ball every day.
02:32That's it.
02:33It's simple as that.
02:33I don't – Russ, what are they going to suck because they had three days off?
02:37I don't buy any of that nonsense.
