“This network will be fastest…” Scindia hails TRAI’s policy to boost India’s telecom QoS standards

New Delhi, May 20, 2025 (ANI): Communication Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia lauded Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI)’s recommendation on Satcom.Speaking at World Telecommunication and Information Society Day programme, Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “We are now seeing the new technology of satellite telecom communication.  Satellite technology is complementary to our service book. TRAI has come up with their regulations for administrative assignment.” “Multiple players have availed of a license, and I am very confident that this roll out on the satellite network will probably be the fastest in the world in the years to come, growing from the current $2.3 billion market to almost a $20 billion market by 2028. so we are talking about a 10 multiple over the next three years. These are growth rates that you'll probably not see anywhere else in the world” said Communitarian minister.
