00:44This is an amazing board, I tell you.
00:46And I got so many calls from people, could I get on the board?
00:50You have a lot of people that are not so much in love with me right now, because I couldn't
00:53get them on the board.
00:54But it's because the board is taken.
01:05But we're going to turn it around.

01:08I love turning things around, turn around artists.
01:11I'm doing that with the country.
01:12Believe me, we're doing it.
01:13We're doing a job.

01:22So instead of putting forward programming that tears our country down and tears our country
01:32apart, the Kennedy Center should be the nation's premier venue for lifting up the best of our
01:38country and lifting up the American arts, theater, music and culture and we have to see, you know,
01:49we have Les Mis.
01:50We're opening up with Les Mis and some other things.
01:53We have Miss Miss Fisher, Mrs. Fisher here.
01:56And she said, you know what works?
01:58Anything Broadway.
01:59So we're signing Phantom of the Opera.
02:00We're signing a lot of great Broadway and we'll have them run for a while.
02:03But it's been neglected very badly and it needs an infusion of different things, including
02:14probably funds.
02:15But I think we're going to do very well when we get some money from Congress to fix it because
02:19it's so important.

02:21I tell you that I think it's amazing if you remember about eight months ago, just 12 weeks,
02:28our new board has balanced the budget.
02:30Think of that in 2026 budget.
02:33That's a pretty good.
02:34That's a pretty good job.
02:37So that's amazing.
02:43So the 2026, I told you it was 25 million under balance now for the fiscal year, eliminated
02:50DEI initiatives in all cases, brought back family friendly programming that will attract
02:55large audiences once again and launched a plan to renovate the building and reclaim the
03:00grandeur as a landmark, a really Washington landmark, which it always was.
03:06The Kennedy Center will also play an important role in our national celebration to commemorate
03:10the 250th anniversary of America's founding.
03:13So we have three really big.
03:16We have that.

03:20And we have the Olympics and we have the World Cup.
03:24And we got the World Cup.
03:32I got them both.
03:33And I said, man, I won't be president.
03:36I won't be.
03:37I got the Olympics and the World Cup and I won't be president and they're going to forget that
03:42I got them.
03:43Nobody's going to mention it because, you know, a little bit, that's the way life is.
03:48And then they rigged the election.
03:50And then I said, you know what I'll do, I'll run again and I'll shove it up their ass.
