00:08lot of very interesting updates, so let's start. And first we're going to finalize about talks

00:14that took place yesterday on the territory of Istanbul between the Russian and Ukrainian

00:18delegations. Today both the Russians and the Ukrainians made several statements regarding

00:23the results of those talks. Russia and Ukraine will present their vision of a possible future

00:28suspy in detail after which the negotiations will continue. Head of the Russian delegation

00:33Medinsky. Direct negotiations with the Ukrainian side have just ended. We are satisfied with

00:38the results and we are ready to continue contact. So as you can see the Russians were very satisfied

00:44with the results of the negotiation process. We have taken note of the request for a meeting

00:50of the leaders of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. Russia and Ukraine will soon conduct a prisoner

00:55exchange according to the formula 1000 for 1000. So obviously the results are very good for the

01:01first probably meeting since the beginning, since the end of the 2022. And obviously this is a very

01:07good achievement both of the Russian and the Ukrainian side on their way to peacefully settlement the

02:04Neutrality and non-aligned status like Austria had after World War II. No claims for reparations and

02:12contributions. We are talking about Ukraine side that there is no, there would be no claims from

02:16Ukrainian side to Russia. Recognition of Crimea and new regions. No obstacles to recognition by other

02:22countries from the Ukrainian side. Rights of Russian-speaking people according to the European

02:27model of minority rights. And withdrawal of the armored force of Ukraine from new regions. We are talking

02:34about Kherson, Zaporozhye, Donetsk, Lugansk. These are four regions that Ukrainians should withdraw their

02:42positions. So as you can see, the situation is not so good from this perspective. And obviously, Ukrainians

02:48had better situation in 2022. And I'll remind you that according to the Russians, according to several

02:54sources and according to Western media, we understand that most likely if talks are going to happen probably

03:01in the year, most likely the demands from the Russian side are going to be much stronger. The sources

03:07reported that the Russians would take up to eight regions, but not five like we can see right now.

03:15A very interesting picture problem, very interesting article we got from European countries. In this photo,

03:22we can see European leaders who support Zelensky and Zelensky himself. And as you can see,

03:28European leaders and Zelensky are very unhappy with Russia-Ukraine talks. British Prime Minister

03:34Summers said that Russia's position in the talks index is unacceptable and accuses Moscow of dragging

03:39out the ceasefire. French President Macron said that Russia ignored the demands of the US, Ukraine and

03:46Europe for the ceasefire. Polish Prime Minister Tosk said that the Kremlin refused to engage a dialogue with

03:53the participation of the United States and put forward unacceptable conditions. Italian Prime Minister

03:59Meloni called for ceasefire and security guarantees for Ukraine. German Cancellor MS accused Moscow

04:05of disrupting the talks, but noted that a very small but first positive signal had been sent during

04:11the talks. This is very important. So we see that according to all these statements, the European Union

04:16is not going to accept Russian demands. So once again, in a year or in a two, these demands from the

04:22Russian side are going to be much more difficult for Ukraine and for the European countries.

04:27At the same time, we got a very important statement by the General Sirsky, the head of the Ukraine army.

04:32He says that Russia's force deployed against Ukraine has up to 640 000 people. So obviously,

04:38this is a very big number of the Russians that are fighting along 1100 kilometers front line.

04:47Now let's discuss the situation on the ground. During the previous night, we got lots of very

04:51important updates. We continue receiving updates that the situation along the Ukrainian Bank of the

04:56Dnipro of the river of Dnipro is worsening and worsening. According to information we have

05:02during the previous days, the Russians managed to take on the complete control islands that are

05:07located to the south of the settlement of Nikolaevka, Adrada Kamenka, and Kazatska. So all these islands

05:38Nikolaevka. Once again, this flag was established by Russian drone, but obviously this is something

05:45like a message and this is something like a signal to Ukrainians in this area that currently they have

05:50no control over this territory and that the Russians can do whatever they like. And it's just a matter

05:55of time and probably the matter of political willing of Russian authorities to begin offensive

06:00operation in this direction. Now let's move further and let's discuss the situation in the Dnipro direction.

06:06The Russian sources published this video and in this video we can see how the Russians managed to

06:11discover positions of Ukrainian air defense system and electronic warfare equipment and the Russians

06:16destroyed the east positions of the armored force of Ukraine with the use of Tornado-S missile system

06:21with cluster rounds. Now let's move further and let's discuss the situation in the south Dnipro direction.

06:27According to information we have during the previous 24 hours, the Russians managed to shorten their lines

06:32between the settlements of Volnaya Pole and Novoslovka. A small line, a small road was taken by the Russians

06:38and based on this report that was published by Neutl Mapper, we have adjusted the map. Now let's talk about the

06:47South Dnipro direction in the vicinity of the settlement by the name of Bogatyri. As you can see, we have a lot of

06:52icons from this area and according to information we have, by the morning of the 17th of May of 2025, the Russians managed

06:59to establish complete control over the settlement by the name of Bogatyri. So according to several very reliable

07:05pro-Russian resources, the battle for the village has ended and most likely today the Minister of

07:10Defense of the Russian Federation will confirm this information. So let's discuss this article in

07:15details. Today a very reliable pro-Russian resource reported that assault groups of the 29th Guards

07:21Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group have completed clearing buildings in the northern and the western

07:28districts of the settlement by the name of Bogatyri. So based on this report we have adjusted the map,

07:33we have colored this territory as a contested area. Of course, we are waiting for additional statements

07:39or probably the statement of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation. And of course,

07:43we are waiting for probable videos with flags established in different parts of the settlement.

07:48But anyway, most likely this is going to happen today. So once again, this is the situation on the

07:53ground by the end of the 16th of May of 2025. As you can see, the Russians were, we got several reports

08:00that the Russians managed to get the settlement of Odradne, we got several reports that the Russians

08:05managed to improve their positions to the south of Bogatyri, and today we got additional confirmations

08:10from different sources. Once again, the Russians, as you can see, managed to get as close as possible

08:15to the settlement of Bogatyri, and we expect first attempts to attack the village in the very near future.

08:20Furthermore, several pro-Russian resources reported that the Russians managed to improve their positions

08:25along the road N15 between the settlement of Bogatyri and Odradne. And as you can see,

08:30currently, the village of Odradne is already the same encircled by the Russians from different

08:34directions. And of course, the most important is that the Russians today finished the battle for

08:38the settlement of Bogatyri itself. The Ukrainians are trying to break this news, and today they published

08:44several videos from the most south-western part of the settlement. In this video, we can see Ukrainian

08:52flag that was established probably in the most southeastern part of the settlement,

08:57but several pro-Russian resources reported that this flag was established with Ukrainian drone. So

09:02the same situation that we just discussed in the area of Kherson. So this flag was established by drone

09:07just with one purpose. Probably the Ukrainians know and understand that most likely today the

09:12Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation will confirm complete control over this territory,

09:16and the Ukrainians will use this video with the Ukrainian flag on this side as

09:20evidence that the Russians published fake news. So this is the situation. Let's wait for additional

09:27updates, but this is obviously very interesting, and this is obviously a turning point in the battle

09:31for the South Donetsk. Furthermore, we got very interesting details in the Alekseyevka direction.

09:37Right after the fall of the settlement of Bogatyri, the Russians intensified their activities in the

09:43direction of Alekseyevka, and the Russians began assault operation with the purpose to cut these lines,

09:48to cut these territories, and to get as close as possible to the settlement of Alekseyevka from

09:53the north and from the northeast. So we have several adjustments on map that were published by

09:58several pro-Russian resources, and we have this video where we can see how Ukrainians from the 35th

10:04Marine Brigade were attacking Russian soldier in this area. So based on this video, we have made small

10:10adjustments on map, and we see that most likely the battle for Alekseyevka has begun.

10:15Now let's talk about Deepakrov's direction. We have lots of very interesting updates.

10:20The Russians, at a reminder, according to several sources, managed to improve their position

10:24significantly in the southwestern part of the settlement by taking under complete control the

10:29village of Zverova and several company strongholds around this area. And today we got reports that the

10:35Russians continue their offensive operation. Currently the Russians are focused on several strongholds of

10:40the armored force to Ukraine that the Russians are trying and planning to take under complete control.

10:45In this video we can see how the Russians were trying to destroy one of the strongholds in Deepakrov's

10:49direction, and in this video we can see how the Russians were destroying buildings on the territory

10:53of the settlement of Leontovici. So based on this video we came to the conclusion that most likely

10:58the Russians are going to attack this stronghold. This is the first part of the video. This is exactly

11:03what the Russians were trying to bomb and reduce the ruins. And most likely the Russians are planning to

11:08improve their positions further from the village of Zverova in the direction of Leontovici and to

11:13take under control the street of Zolotov. So this is the purpose of the Russians and we see that most

11:19likely they will try to maintain the lines and to shorten the distances in this area with the purpose

11:23to create a very powerful stronghold in the southwestern part of the city of Pokrovsk. And they're going

11:28to use this base, this foothold for further offensive in the direction of the central part of the city itself

11:34and the Pokrovsk agglomeration. Now let's talk about the Klibanbykska direction. We have lots of

11:40important updates. Today several pro-Russian sources reported that the settlement of Novopoltavka was

11:45also taken by the Russians completely. So according to this update the Russians managed to get to the

11:51most northern part of the village. So most likely today or the day after we're going to receive additional

11:57changes on the ground and additional articles published by different sources and we will color the

12:01area in the Russian favor. At the same time the armed force of the Russians continue offensive

12:06operation inside of the Klibanbykska pocket advancing exactly in the western direction because according

12:12to information we have the Ukrainians since the beginning of 2014 haven't managed to create even

12:16a single stronghold in this area. So the Russians face no barriers on the in front of them and that is

12:22why this allowed them to move very fast and to improve their position significantly from day to day.

12:27So we will not probably rewind the dates but obviously the progress in this direction is the biggest

12:33progress along the entire line of combat contact. So several sources reported that the Russians managed

12:38to shorten the distances and to get very close to the village of Gnatovka and to the village of Yablunovka.

12:44At the same time the Russians use significant number of drones that are flying above Ukraine positions

12:49and that are clearing the roads of Russian offensive right before the Russians begin another

12:55now let's say wave of attacks. Furthermore we got reports that Ukrainians abandoned completely their

13:00positions in the most southern pocket so the Ukrainians managed to withdraw their forces towards more

13:05reliable positions. So this situation on the map will be by the end of the 16th of May of 2025 and this

13:13is the situation by the beginning of the 17th of May of 2025. The Russians cut this pocket and the Russians

13:20continue advancing further in the northern direction. We are waiting of course for additional flags,

13:25additional articles or we are waiting for additional video published maybe by some pro-Russian resource.

13:32Now let's talk about the Konstantinovka direction. According to information we have the Russians managed

13:37to improve their positions in the vicinity of the south in the Lievka. In this video we can see a group

13:41of sabotation reconnaissance forces of the Russian Federation that were under very heavy attack of

13:46Ukrainian drones. This episode took place exactly in this area and based on this video we have adjusted the

13:51map. So we see that the Russians are trying to finish the battle for the south in the Lievka and to

13:55establish complete control over this territory. Furthermore, as you can see the Russians are

14:00trying to get as close as possible to this company's stronghold that is located to the south of the

14:04settlement of north in the Lievka. So the battle for this stronghold is ahead of us. As soon as the

14:10Russians take under control this territory they will improve their position significantly.

14:14When talking about the city of Chesaviyar we continue receiving updates that there are still

14:19very heavy clashes for the central part. Today several neutral mappers adjusted their map spots

14:24according to them there are still several pockets of resistance of the armed forces of Ukraine in

14:28this area. So based on this article we haven't adjusted anything but we are keeping in our minds

14:34that most likely there are still clashes in the central part in the citadel of the city of Chesaviyar.

14:40When talking about the Liman direction today Ukrainian sources published this video where

14:45we can see how Ukrainians managed to counter-attack in the area of Tarskoa and to restore control over

14:51several buildings and streets in this area. And as we discussed in the previous videos several

14:55pro-Russian resources and several pro-Ukrainian resources confirmed that the Russians haven't

15:00managed to establish complete control over the city of the village of Tarskoa and the Minister of

15:05Defense of the Russian Federation announced complete control over the village of Tarskoa because

15:10they wanted to create this media environment around the talks in Istanbul. So that is why the

15:18Russians reported about complete control over this territory. But when talking about the real

15:22situation on the ground most likely and according to several very reliable pro-Russian resources and

15:26pro-Ukrainian resources the Russians control less than 40 percent of Tarskoa but it doesn't mean that

15:31the Russians are not advancing it just means that the Russians need a bit more time to finish the battle for

15:36the settlement. When talking about the northern directions during the previous 24 hours we

15:41haven't received anything special. The Russians were bombing and attacking positions of the armed force

15:45of Ukraine in the northern directions but without any changes on the ground. Most likely the Russians

15:50are regrouping and most likely the Russians are trying to understand what to do next after the finishing

15:57of talks in Istanbul. And I'll be reminded according to Russian demands the Russians are going to create

16:03secure zone and they demand Ukrainian sites abandon some territories along the border between Sumy and
