00:00Hi there, it's John Blow from the Yorkshire Post. Here's what's coming up in the week ahead.
00:04Almost nine years on from the Brexit referendum, Prime Minister Sakhir Starmer will host European Union leaders during a special summit.
00:11The UK and EU will meet in London from today to discuss closer ties as part of the Labour government's attempt to reset relations with the trade bloc.
00:19Elsewhere in politics, Colm Valley MP Paul Davies will lead a debate about Parkinson's disease care.
00:26The session by the Labour member for the constituency near Huddersfield will run from 4.30pm on Wednesday in Parliament's Westminster Hall.
00:35And music and food lovers will be well catered for over the weekend as a number of events take place in Yorkshire.
00:40Sheffield Food Festival and Moulton Food Lovers Festival will both go ahead from Friday to next Monday, which is a bank holiday.
00:47Meanwhile, on Sunday, Revellers will head to live at Leeds in the park at Temple Newsome for performances by artists such as Block Party, Manic Street Breachers and local band Yard Act.
00:57Leeds Jazz Festival also takes place from tomorrow to Tuesday next week.
01:01And Swirledale Festival, beginning on Saturday, will celebrate music, arts and walking in the Yorkshire Dales.
