Transkrip
00:00:00as well with PitBoost taking to the place. 24 hours later the complexion has
00:00:04completely changed. Oliver Rowland, yes he's still at the front of this one
00:00:07however it is wet out there for the very first time and it is gonna be hugely
00:00:12interesting to see what will happen when the lights go out. You can see 20 degrees
00:00:16track temperature, 18 degrees air temperature. Welcome to the Monaco E-Prix.
00:00:20My name is Tom Brooks alongside me Karun Chandhok and David Coulthard here to
00:00:24guide you through the action. DC we absolutely love this place and as ever
00:00:28the atmosphere on the grid this afternoon was fantastic. Yeah there was
00:00:32physically less people on the grid because I guess some of them wanted to
00:00:34stay within the comfort of the Emotion Club but that said the sort of sense of
00:00:38anticipation the uncertainty and this is a difficult enough racetrack in the dry
00:00:43when we see these attack boards that you know you can help deploy wonderfully
00:00:47when you're during the race in the wet we feel it might actually even be more
00:00:51powerful. It will be we get overtaking around here because the cars are small
00:00:56enough that we get fantastic wheel-to-wheel side-by-side action here
00:01:00you've got iconic corners, Tabac, swimming pools, Sainte-Dévore and also the
00:01:06perilous challenges of having the painted lines, pedestrian crossings,
00:01:10bicycle lanes all of these things which in these damp conditions are going to be
00:01:14a real challenge. Yeah well this was Oliver Rowland taking victory here
00:01:18yesterday extending his lead in the Drivers' Championship and he lines up on
00:01:22pole position for the E-Prix here this afternoon. Let's guide you through the
00:01:26rest of the starting grid though Sam Bird he crashed in qualifying he'll be
00:01:30starting this race from the pit lane Edo Mortara alongside him on the back row of
00:01:35the grid. Next up is Nico Muller and Robin Frijns. Muller missed out of the
00:01:40podium due to a pit boost problem yesterday but assisted his teammate to a
00:01:43podium finish. Next up you've got David Beckmann and Mitch Evans in the Jaguar
00:01:47TCS racing that's his worst starting position since Sao Paulo. Barnard was
00:01:51denied a dual spot after the problems in qualifying for his teammate and as such
00:01:55he is right down the order. Then it's Nick Cassidy and Jake Hughes a little
00:01:58bit further up. Cassidy not made of duels so far in season 11. Further up the
00:02:03order you've got the likes of Jake Dennis as well as Lucas Di Grassi and
00:02:07then inside the top ten this is how it all works out. Pascal Wehrlein he missed
00:02:12the duels for the third time in five races but now sits second in the
00:02:15Drivers' Championship after sixth at the chequered flag. Zayn Maloney equals his
00:02:19career best starting positions he seeks his first points in Formula E. Sebastian
00:02:23Buemi that's his best starting position of the season and he has got the Britain
00:02:28Dan Tictum alongside him. He's been in imperious form but was furious after a
00:02:32team error in qualifying meant his dual lap was in 300 kilowatts instead of 350.
00:02:37Da Costa he was in the wall yesterday after an over-ambitious overtake at the
00:02:41final corner. He'll be aiming for redemption at the track he won on in
00:02:442021. Van Dorn gets his best grid slot of season 11. He's had five points finishes
00:02:50this year and lines up fifth on the grid today. The second row of the grid
00:02:54is occupied by the two DS Penskis. Both drivers were off track in the dual
00:02:58semi-finals and had their lap times cancelled. Gunther though starts third
00:03:02that's his best grid position in Monaco. The upshot is that Nick de Vries
00:03:05inherited second on the grid after the DS blunder and he took his first podium
00:03:09since 2022 yesterday. Can he go one better than that here this afternoon?
00:03:14Oliver Oland his second Monaco pole and he was the winner of course yesterday
00:03:18now sits 37 points clear in the Drivers Championship. There's Sam Bird sitting at
00:03:23the end of the pit lane so the team have done a great job rebuilding his car
00:03:26after a fairly big accident. So they line up here no formation lap in Formula E.
00:03:31If you're new, welcome. They just pull up two grid slots you'll see the smoke
00:03:36coming off the tires getting a little bit of temperature into the rear tires
00:03:39and then we settle straight into the race. As you see the princess there
00:03:44receiving a bookie ahead of the start of this race. I actually don't think Sam Bird
00:03:47being in the pit lane will be such a bad place to be. He'll miss any incident at
00:03:52the first corner because he cuts along through the inside. Yeah it's a safer
00:03:56route isn't it? Taking the pit lane, cuts through the inside behind the kerb
00:04:00the apex of the first corner. Here we go Tom. Yeah this is gonna be a
00:04:04drying circuit then for this E-Prix. You can see the sunshine is out for the first
00:04:08time in quite a few hours here in Monte Carlo and what will happen when the
00:04:12lights go out and crucially when the chequered flag falls in at 29 laps time
00:04:16it is all eyes on the lights. The five red lights come on. Who will reign supreme
00:04:20here in Monaco as we go green and go racing. Great start from the front row of
00:04:25the grid for Nick de Vries but it's Oliver Rowland who chops over and gets
00:04:29the lead of the race from pole position. Side by side with the two DS Penske's up
00:04:32the hill into Saint-Nevon. Everybody taking it quite clean through the first
00:04:36couple of corners but trying to find grip as we head towards Casino Square.
00:04:39That was very disciplined actually from all drivers and I think what we've been
00:04:43talking about through and ahead of the race is this is a long game race you're
00:04:46not going to win it at the first corner and I think it was actually look you
00:04:50accepted where you went off the line and then just it's almost like a parade lap
00:04:53through the first corner because we know that if you go damage your car there
00:04:57then it's a long afternoon. Yeah but it's kicking off here look at this round the
00:05:00outside that is former world champion Jake Dennis having a look at Pascal
00:05:04Wehrlein. They've got a lot of history those two and Jake Hughes now alongside
00:05:08Nick Cassidy as well. Yeah this is the hairpin. This was going to Constantino
00:05:11they're up over to make it through one of the loaders on the inside that's
00:05:13Degrassi right over the kerb on the inside of his teammate you can see them
00:05:17fishtailing out of the corner as they try to find some grip on this constantly
00:05:22evolving racetrack into the tunnel this is the only dry part of the circuit.
00:05:26But Degrassi's gained there he's gained two places so that worked out really well
00:05:29for him Dennis and Cassidy were out wide and Degrassi's gained two places good
00:05:34move there. Yeah Mortara's lost some ground here on the opener as well he's
00:05:37in 20th place Muller also down in 21st as well so not worked out well on the
00:05:42start for them in towards the new Velle chicane we go and it's nose to tail
00:05:47action between the fields side by side there in the background that's Sam Bird
00:05:49trying to get the better sorry Robin Frites trying to get the better with
00:05:53Taylor Barnard actually who's lost a couple of places there on the start as
00:05:56well but it's Oliver Rowland that leads and look at the lack of scray already
00:06:00it's starting to get it dry out quite quickly there's a very good possibility
00:06:04we're gonna draw a line before the end of this race so while it's settled a
00:06:07little bit let's quickly talk about tactics here Tom every driver's got to
00:06:11take attack mode what does that do it gives you an extra 50 kilowatts of power
00:06:15but in these conditions crucially it also gives you four-wheel drive and we
00:06:19saw in qualifying that's worth sometimes up to six seven seconds so that'll give
00:06:25them a great opportunity to overtake I think anyone outside the top ten will
00:06:29try and get an early attack mode when we've got these greasy conditions to
00:06:33try and gain a chunk of places yeah it's been a lot of discipline from the
00:06:37drivers and these early laps a few little wheel banging but nothing that's
00:06:41seen any damage and I think at this stage it's just about settling finding
00:06:46where the track conditions are and of course getting heat in the tires when
00:06:50you don't have a parade lap you're going off completely cold
00:06:52Roland there sticking tightly to the inside hunting for grip and that's often
00:06:57the case when you've got these slippery conditions you look for grip on the
00:07:01unconventional lines you don't necessarily see the usual out-in-out
00:07:05that you would see on a normal dry condition and it's visibly slow yeah
00:07:13everyone's being so so disciplined here it's like you know first day at school
00:07:17and you think the headmaster is watching you so through into Portier we go so at
00:07:22the sharp end of the grid not much has changed the clusters make ground on
00:07:26Van Dorn those two have switched places from where they started but Wemi has
00:07:29also switched positions with Dan Ticton this is the clear view we have down
00:07:33towards the chicane on board from a driver's eye perspective with Oliver
00:07:36Roland he's taking it so gingerly through there and I'm not surprised at
00:07:40all but this will be really interesting to see who decides to go into attack mode
00:07:45I was talking to Jake Dennis just before he went to the grid earlier on and he
00:07:48said that if you're further down the order you've got to go for attack mode
00:07:52early to try and cycle through the field exactly as he said Karun because
00:07:55there's an opportunity to make some breath but however so the contract of
00:07:58that is if you're one of the leaders you don't want to risk taking attack mode
00:08:02too early because we expect to see a safety car or maybe even a flag and then
00:08:07you get you lose that benefit okay good job next stick with it if you got the
00:08:10pace you can't overtake so I always like trying to read beyond the messages
00:08:15because we're having that played in it's great to have that insight but of course
00:08:19it could be a bit of misinformation it could be don't use extra energy trying
00:08:23to overtake just hold position and because we know that Oliver Roland is
00:08:27brilliant at somehow controlling the pace while saving and using less energy
00:08:32than his competitors you can see the drivers there they've got two attack
00:08:34modes remaining that's indicated by the two dots next to their names of course
00:08:38when they use one it will go down if you need to Formula E welcome along it's
00:08:41great to have you here drivers have two deployments of attack mode that means
00:08:44they get an extra 50 kilowatts of power and they get four-wheel drive and they
00:08:48have to use it in two deployments they can use six minutes two minutes the
00:08:51reverse of that two minutes to six minutes or four minutes and four minutes
00:08:54but when he and Tickton the first drivers in as well as Jake Dennis on lap
00:08:57three they're trying to cycle through the field and look at the traction
00:09:00advantage that they've got even down to the next corner yeah watch this now just
00:09:04watch how Buemi is the first of those three so he's the green car you can see
00:09:09behind oh Tickton's gone white so straight away crunch of carbon
00:09:14fiber there but I think everyone's sort of survived what watch Buemi he's in
00:09:18seventh as Tickton is really struggling here it's almost like his system hasn't
00:09:22established suspension I think yeah it hasn't come together properly oh yeah he
00:09:27looks like he's crabbing down this straight doesn't he or is he just
00:09:29struggling for traction there's something maybe something's not right
00:09:31yeah not right there with Dan Tickton's car has he caused some damage after a
00:09:35trip into the barrier down at the Fairmont hairpin this is where we get an
00:09:38illustration here Tickton followed that's really good no one ahead has it
00:09:43there we go look this is four-wheel drive coming through so watch this
00:09:48Buemi might even end up in the next three minutes getting all the way up
00:09:52into the lead here with this four-wheel drive yeah there's great possibility of
00:09:55that this race has been won from no lower than ninth place Tecman's also in
00:09:59a TATMO there so the two Cupra Keros opting for the same strategy on board we
00:10:04are here now with Buemi so let's see how quickly he's able to pick off Antonio
00:10:07Felix da Costa in front the challenge in these conditions is the extra 50
00:10:11kilowatts is harder to use because you know the traction is so slippery but now
00:10:16look there's the four-wheel drive kicking in when you're putting the power
00:10:19down the front wheels are pulling you as much as the rear wheels are pushing all
00:10:23of the other cars so that there's a there's a real double benefit of the
00:10:28power plus the ability to use the power the problem you've got though is that
00:10:32you're arriving at the corner faster and we have seen drivers making mistakes
00:10:36crucially in qualifying like we had earlier on this morning yeah well that
00:10:39may be the case there with Tickton as we get to see him take advantage of the
00:10:44attack board but just behind him Dennis does have that yeah Burns gone in there
00:10:49as well as Max Gunther so the two DS Penske's opting for the same strategy I
00:10:53wonder if they might be able to work together here the two DS Penske's to try
00:10:58and benefit one another in the race look at Nick de Vriet all over the back of
00:11:02Oliver Rowland here yeah the game of working together it tends to be around
00:11:06energy efficiency but let's remember in a wet race that's not so much of a
00:11:11problem you know at the moment they're lapping the 155 that there isn't going
00:11:15to be a problem in terms of energy they start the race with 70% of what they
00:11:20would need to finish a full dry race but with slower pace in the wet this isn't
00:11:25going to be energy limited. A bit of variance in some of the attack mode
00:11:27strategies as well David Beckman in particular in the Cupra Kiro he's gone
00:11:30for six minutes early on which means he'll only have two minutes later on in
00:11:34the race let's see how that works out for him
00:11:36Burn there all over the back of Nick de Vriet yeah and de Vriet is doing Rowland
00:11:41a favor here isn't he because the longer that de Vriet can hold you know
00:11:45that pack of cars behind him the longer it's going to benefit Rowland you know
00:11:50those seven cars behind there they want to get past de Vriet and Rowland but
00:11:55de Vriet's doing great defensive drive here yeah Buemi now just under a minute
00:11:59of attack mode left he should be able to clear both these cars using that we're
00:12:03going to see him leaving well Buemi has attack mode so that's going to neutralize that
00:12:09but that will put de Vriet under a lot of pressure and yeah look at that
00:12:11straightaway driving past him like he's standing still down this start finish
00:12:15straight so the DS and the Envision are through de Vriet down to fourth place
00:12:19that'll of course work in his favor a little bit later on hopefully for Nick
00:12:23de Vriet but easy to see how visible the difference is there for him Gunter is the
00:12:28next man on the attack against the Mahindra driver got a yellow down at T1
00:12:32as well I think it's David Beckman who's come to some problems let's wait and see
00:12:38what's going on there as de Vriet goes into attack mode where's he going to emerge
00:12:41it's in front of Jake Dennis who's coming to the end of his first attack
00:12:45mode deployment as we look at Ticktum lunging on the inside of Max Gunter down
00:12:49into Mirabeau can he get that one done it switches back to the inside for the
00:12:52hairpin on board we ride now with the Briton and he thinks better off it for
00:12:57now yeah but he's now come out of attack mode just halfway through the hairpin
00:13:01there and so is Buemi so yeah Buemi gone up a third but he will struggle to hold
00:13:06Gunter off Roland though still holding a lead as Nick de Vriet has been given a
00:13:12black and white flag for that overly defensive driving but into the lead
00:13:16track now clear at T1 by the way so no big problems there for David Beckman
00:13:20thankfully yeah I think he must have done what we've seen so many others do
00:13:24do a little run down Sainte Devote and then turn around and rejoin I'm sure
00:13:29we'll get a replay of that but he's up and running and he's got attack mode to
00:13:32try and bring himself back onto the tail of Barnard let's have a look at what's
00:13:36happened here with Jake Hughes a bit further down the order this is for about
00:13:3914th 15th place ah he clattered into the back of Beckman and that's why Beckman
00:13:43ran on down at the first corner thankfully managed to get oh he didn't
00:13:48get it to turn around did he three-pointer he's got a puncture yeah
00:13:51rear left yeah so was that puncture there already or is it as a result of this
00:13:56contact I'm going to suggest it's from the contact because that's the rear left
00:14:01he's hit well actually I guess it was the front wing that must have just
00:14:05pushed it off the rim but that's going to be a long painful raid back to the pits
00:14:09laps next Jean-Henri Verne it is that leads Oliver Rowland in second but still
00:14:13got his two attack mode deployments now remaining but he's going to be coming
00:14:16under increasing pressure here from Gunter up the hill
00:14:19yeah he's doing a great job though
00:14:21anyone not taking it in the field?
00:14:23yes
00:14:25Karlsruhe, P10, P11, P12
00:14:27DS40 seconds
00:14:29both
00:14:31but Rowland's absolutely in the pound seat here because he's got he's held them off
00:14:37he's not taken attack mode and yet he's in second place having held off you know
00:14:43people like Gunter who are in attack mode and now out of it so that's very
00:14:47very good driving from Oliver Rowland
00:14:50Verne has been a victim of all of the attack modes that have happened further
00:14:53back by the way because he started this race in 10th place has now been
00:14:56relegated back down to 16th position but all the other drivers in front pretty
00:15:00much bar Nick Cassidy have used one attack mode deployment
00:15:04with the current track conditions three and a half seconds that's what it's worth
00:15:08attack mode at the moment Verne on the last lap 3.5 quicker than Rowland
00:15:12so that just gives us a sense of what the benefit can be for Rowland when he
00:15:17takes it he can catch and probably pass in two laps time
00:15:21Cassidy having a bit of a crack in here as well as we look at Nick de Vries
00:15:23going through on the inside of Buemi for fourth into Tabac but Cassidy's been
00:15:27able to keep at least three drivers who are actively in attack mode at bay
00:15:31behind as we get confirmation no surprise there that Hughes and Bettman
00:15:35under investigation for that collision down in the first corner
00:15:37yeah de Vries with a minute to go would expect to be able to find his way
00:15:41into third so when they've done this cycle
00:15:44all the top runners bar Rowland have used their first four minutes of attack
00:15:49it's been a great weekend for Mahindra first podium since Mexico 23 yesterday
00:15:53courtesy of Nick de Vries and he's now pulling alongside and indeed ahead
00:15:57of Gunther for third position down in towards the first corner we go
00:16:02we begin lap seven de Vries the only driver inside the
00:16:05top five that is currently in active attack mode and now we get our first
00:16:08look at the energy in this race it's the first time for
00:16:11the other teams to see it as well only Cassidy P12 no attack and then
00:16:16Kars B16 so no surprise there at all to see the
00:16:21drivers that have used attack mode to have expended a
00:16:25little bit more energy compared to those around them Rowland's done a good
00:16:28job in second at the moment but he's still got
00:16:31those two attack modes as we know there's dry patches emerging isn't it
00:16:34there's a few bits of the track where you can see it's just
00:16:37just visibly drying up a bit I mean it's hard to explain Tom to people at
00:16:42home just how difficult it is and how much
00:16:44concentration these drivers need in these conditions
00:16:48every time they press the brake pedal every time they
00:16:51try and put the power down it is so on a knife edge in terms of a
00:16:56lock-up or a mistake so uh yeah that dry line as well
00:17:00it becomes your best friend doesn't it you desperately try and make sure that
00:17:04you train track the tires into any dry line that you have on the
00:17:07circuit got yellow down at turn eight Lucas de Grassi
00:17:10by the looks of things whilst we're looking at this super slow-mo replay
00:17:12what's happened then for the Brazilian driver let's wait and
00:17:15see oh he's in the barrier at Portier Lucas de Grassi looks to be out
00:17:19of the E-Prix that's a shame for Lola Yamaha Raps they have had a shocker
00:17:23of a weekend here in the principality and it comes to an unsatisfactory
00:17:27conclusion at least on one side of the garage
00:17:29race control speaking we go full course yellow in three
00:17:33two one full course yellow full course yellow
00:17:37so the race is neutralized then full course yellow this is effectively a
00:17:40virtual safety car so the drivers have to reduce pace and it keeps the gaps
00:17:44pretty much a constant the only one that was going to
00:17:47be at a disadvantage because of the attack mode was Lucas de Grassi he's now
00:17:50out so thankfully it's not disadvantaged
00:17:52anybody who was it at that point in the race
00:17:57yeah and this is the the tricky thing with the attack mode isn't it is
00:18:02you need to you're kind of rolling the dice in terms of
00:18:05the timing because you're not in control of what
00:18:09other people end up doing and as you say in this instance
00:18:13unfortunately no one else was negatively impacted well the drivers
00:18:16are going to be saving a bit of energy so this is coming down the hill at Fairmont
00:18:19this is de Grassi's teammate Zane Maloney going side by side there with
00:18:23Jake Dennis bit of hip and shoulder on the exit
00:18:26and a bit of front wing coming off of the
00:18:30Lola Yamaha apps machine as well in front of him
00:18:33oh no that is de Grassi it is de Grassi yeah lunging on the inside
00:18:36yeah that was de Grassi alongside Dennis not not
00:18:40I think Maloney was a car in front yeah I think a little bit of frustration there
00:18:45we full course yellow ending in five four three two one green flag please
00:18:52so the full course yellow ends and now the race begins again
00:18:54yeah I think that there was de Grassi you could see with him sort of nibbling
00:18:57at the back of Dennis as he came around Lowe's hairpin
00:19:00he just had the frustration I've got attack mode I've got to go
00:19:03he sent it and then gone oh there's a tight comma coming up
00:19:07and it's a pretty good red miss moment
00:19:10nearly lives down the road from there he should have known that corner
00:19:12absolutely
00:19:12this has worked really nicely though for Jean-Eric Vergne he's got a three and a half second lead
00:19:16over Oliver Rowland I know Rowland has still got one attack mode to use but
00:19:19every other driver behind the DS Penske aside from Rowland has used one attack mode deployment
00:19:25so he's in a good position at the moment you would have to think
00:19:28yeah he cleared Rowland isn't that was critical because Gunther got stuck behind De Vries
00:19:34and Rowland whereas Vergne got ahead and that's the difference that's why he's broken away so
00:19:40just shows the importance of wanting to get attack mode but use it effectively is so important
00:19:46I think keep an eye as well for the likes of Cassidy, Berline, Evans etc
00:19:49they've all got one or two attack modes left remaining
00:19:51and our virtual race engineer agrees with that as well saying that it's a huge advantage
00:19:57so down in towards Tabat we go you can see the circuit now visibly drying out
00:20:01it's getting faster and faster as the laps go and tick down
00:20:05we head down this back straight there is Evans with Mortara
00:20:08Mortara has just gone into his attack mode so no point Evans fighting it too hard
00:20:13so Jake Hughes has been given a five second penalty for that collision with David Beckman which is
00:20:20it's probably fair enough isn't he he punted him from behind so yeah that's fair enough
00:20:24Fabwee Kendall round for Jake Hughes oh bit of slide there as well for Sebastian Buebos
00:20:28we ride on board not a lot of aerodynamic grip on these Formula E Gen 3 Evo machines
00:20:33and that's why they are just all over the place on the start finish straight as they try to find
00:20:37traction but spin their wheels even when they're going over 100 miles an hour when you look at
00:20:42those who haven't used any of their attack mode right now Roland we understand and you've already
00:20:46mentioned is doing a great job and second but we look Berline and the two Jags as well they're
00:20:52they're rolling or putting all of their eggs in the in the basket of maybe one single attack mode
00:20:59later in the race so down in towards Mirabeau we go you can see we'll be fighting for control
00:21:04Cassidy then is the first driver to blink with one of the two attack modes remaining
00:21:07and he goes in for a quick two-minute deployment at the mid pack of this race he was about half a
00:21:13second behind Jake Dennis so let's see how quickly he's able to dispatch of the season nine world
00:21:19champion these weather conditions have I think favored the Stellantis cars Tommaso Volpe was
00:21:25telling us the grid David was me that he expected them to be quick and actually you look at where
00:21:30they were in the dry yesterday versus their pace today and both DS Penske's are up there
00:21:36Buemi squirming under braking but staying put behind Gunther but you know van Doorn up in seventh as
00:21:44well oh they've touched oh so close there between the two they must have made contact coming into
00:21:49Tabac the closing speed there for Buemi not uh enough room to avoid hitting the back of Max
00:21:55Gunther thankfully they managed to emerge facing in the right direction but it is close quarters
00:22:01between them and look at how the top three have now been able to break away from these two behind
00:22:06as well Gunther some three seconds uh up the road compared to sorry yeah three seconds or so up the
00:22:12road compared to the likes of De Vries so Cassidy has gone into attack mode David as we were saying
00:22:22the Jags were waiting but he's gone for it now let's see um see how far he can get up
00:22:30he's only a second or so behind Tictum so he should get Tictum at least before he runs out
00:22:35well Torres picks up a few drivers as well further down he's just got up into 13th at the expense of
00:22:39Jake Hughes so this race is bubbling up quite nicely and it's looking very handy here for
00:22:44Oliver Rowland you have to say whatever he seems to touch at the moment turns to gold
00:22:48he's out in the streets of Monaco but Burns holding his own isn't he
00:22:52like on last lap Burns has matched him for pace here is Cassidy oh Tictum to the wall
00:22:58Tictum to the wall down at Mirabeau straight off to the runoff road he can't get that rotated
00:23:03or can he he can fantastic well I'll tell you what give him a point for spinning around in one
00:23:09of the tightest areas on the racetrack amazing job from Dan Tictum what a great recovery but uh
00:23:15tried to bite off a bit more than he could chew defending that position from Nick Cassidy
00:23:19ultimately it has cost the Britain a handful of places he's now down in 12th position
00:23:24so that has been quite detrimental to the Britain and further down the order even still as a matter
00:23:29of fact yeah I think he's down yeah exactly he's down in front of the Clavins isn't he so
00:23:34yeah um it's quite lucky that he didn't slide in you know across the path of the
00:23:41here we go across the path of Cassidy look he slid Cassidy saw him coming
00:23:46slowed down enough that Tictum went across
00:23:50uh save I guess guys well there's nothing to save for it's there so
00:23:56so once again frustration for Dan Tictum not for the first time here today on the team radio but
00:24:01Cassidy was doing the normal racing line you move over because of the bump on the exit of it and
00:24:05unfortunately there was no grip in the braking zone there for Dan Tictum he actually did brilliantly
00:24:10to come out of what could have been a race-ending shunt so all credit to him I didn't fully
00:24:17understand his message to the team but uh not for the first time well so I think he's saying
00:24:22that I'll have to save now because he's going to expend a bit more energy I guess to try and
00:24:26move his way back up the order and I guess saying that his race is run one would imagine
00:24:32until the chequered flag we saw that in qualifying and it certainly isn't in a race now we've seen
00:24:36it in other Formula E races as well you get a late race safety car can bring you right back
00:24:39into contention especially in these conditions yeah no doubt about it there is the pensive face
00:24:44of Jay Penske inside the DS pit box Fred Vertrand as well wouldn't want to see what his heart rate
00:24:50is at the moment coming down through the Fairmont hairpin we are then so Vern has kept the gap at a
00:24:55constant between himself and Roland around about three seconds or so don't forget to vote for your
00:24:59PIF driver of the race when this one all unravels team radio for Roland
00:25:05so everyone that has attacked has four minutes left apart from Cassidy at six and only four cars
00:25:10from P16 to P20 have an attack remaining
00:25:15a little smile on Oliver Roland's face yeah but I'm slightly surprised he's not gone for his first
00:25:23one now because I think you still you just want to still be in touch don't you in case of
00:25:32safety cars and all that sort of stuff yeah I think he's been building out a gap to Nick de Vries it's
00:25:35about 1.3 seconds or so now so comfortably he can come out ahead of the Dutchman and like you said
00:25:40the longer you leave it the greater the risk is you get a yellow flag a safety car I mean look
00:25:43what happened in Miami yeah I mean if he took two minutes in at this pace he'll get one lap
00:25:48of attack mode which will be enough to get him you know alongside or ahead of Jean-Luc Vergne
00:25:54he's pushing on now he's set the fastest lap by a few tenths of a second over Jean-Luc Vergne
00:25:58he's pushing on now he's set the fastest lap by a few tenths of a second over Jean-Luc Vergne so I
00:26:02think this lap we're going to see him coming in for the attack mode pace is good mate if you can
00:26:07get position go for it looking further down the order Wehrlein and Evans yet to use any attack
00:26:13as well so whatever the thinking is for Roland yeah then you could maybe say well I understand
00:26:19why they would roll the day it's down to 15 16 now Roland still not going in for that attack
00:26:25then so that prediction goes out the window and I wonder if he's just banking and saving energy
00:26:30because obviously I suppose in attack mode you do consume that little bit more energy as
00:26:34Vergne tries to get his car rotated round the hairpin but it's going to be interesting to see
00:26:41how this one all works out isn't it bubbling up quite nicely here in Formula E on board we
00:26:46ride with Nick de Vries he's kept the gap to Oliver Roland at a constant yeah Wehrlein and Muller have
00:26:51gone for attack mode so they are but as David was saying before they you know they're outside
00:26:58the points being positioned at the moment here we are on board with Wehrlein let's see if he can
00:27:02use the traction he's only gone for the short one hasn't he two minutes yeah Evans in front hasn't
00:27:07used attack mode at the moment so he's going to be a bit of a sitting duck everybody else directly
00:27:11in front of Wehrlein has done so and look at how fast Wehrlein is going to be pulling out of Portier
00:27:17into the tunnel is he going to be able to make a move coming in towards the Nouvelle
00:27:21chicane well Evans goes for the defensive line but Wehrlein's not quite close enough to mount
00:27:25a challenge at the moment so strut to strut to whoa contact to attack we need to get
00:27:35Nato and Jukes out of the way strut to and two minutes to get Nato and Jukes out of the way
00:27:40yeah that was smart from Evans because he knew Wehrlein's in attack mode so he just covered off
00:27:44the inside and he's keeping track position yeah perfectly within his rights to do so a little bit
00:27:49of contact into the back of the Jaguar and now look at Evans trying to force a move here on the
00:27:54inside of Norman Nato into La Rascasse can he make that stick he's got track position he's got the
00:27:59inside line and look at this because Wehrlein can try and pick his pocket into Anthony Nogues
00:28:02his teammate tried that yesterday and he ended in the barrier but now he's got traction on the exit
00:28:06of the corner pulls alongside and blasts past Norman Nato and Muller following him through for
00:28:12position as well oh contact down to the first corner ball into the barrier almost there
00:28:17for Mitch Evans and that's allowed Wehrlein to come through as well as get past Jake Hughes
00:28:23so two places gained in the space of a corner there for Pascal Wehrlein yeah that helped
00:28:28make up for the time he lost going into the final corner around the outside great move
00:28:33outside move there at Casino Square for Mitch Evans has pulled that off absolutely brilliantly
00:28:39down the hill we go in towards Mirabeau there is Tickton keeping a watching brief he's got a yellow
00:28:45at turn three might be debris yeah possibly a bit of debris how about a smattering of contact
00:28:54so Nico Muller is in some strife and that's if it can't be recovered quickly which I don't think it
00:28:58will be there it's going to be either a full course yellow possibly a safety car so that
00:29:03happens Frijns and Muller well Frijns and Muller not necessarily because he's out of the race now
00:29:07but Frijns will be the disadvantage for that because he's in attack mode I think he's parked
00:29:12near the gap of the barrier though where that orange barrier was I think they could just pull
00:29:15the car backwards so I'm trying to recognize where that was at Casino Square yeah I think
00:29:21they don't think the gap's big enough to get the car through there by the looks of it so
00:29:26they've gone full safety car as well so this will bunch the field back up so Jean-Richard Ferns
00:29:31advantage wipes away it's gone away now which is what Roland was hoping for isn't it they're
00:29:36playing that long game Evans and Roland and stuff a bit of debris there on track on the way in that
00:29:40maybe it's an earlier contact into the first corner interesting they've gone full course safety
00:29:47so it's at the apex of the exit of Casino Square yes just off the attack mode yeah exactly so
00:29:54so Muller in the car at the moment he'll be jumping out of that one
00:29:58uh soon I'm sure we didn't see exactly what happened has he got a red car no no it's green
00:30:03I was just about to say the green light screen but that gap is definitely not big enough
00:30:07does that gate open yeah they're trying to remove bits of it yeah there's a kerb there as well can
00:30:12they lift that over or get the Vaseline out and just give it a good job there we go so the safety
00:30:17car is on so this should be a relatively quick safety car in this race let's just remind us of
00:30:21the energy then for the drivers actually first of all let's work out what happened then to Nico Muller
00:30:26oh just lost it on his own over the rise by the looks of things unless there was some contact
00:30:29earlier on I hit the wall sorry why am I at the wall I tried to get out of the way
00:30:40the car safe to bring up to be to bring back or not no okay stop in a safe place stop in a safe
00:30:45place out of the way of who I don't recall who was coming up I didn't see anyone behind him well
00:30:53either way Muller apoplectic yesterday after what he felt was a victory that slipped through his
00:30:57fingers the marshals are struggling to get traction on the tiles here as well but now the
00:31:01safety car is out and we're at the halfway stage of this race if it's out for more than four minutes
00:31:06which I don't think it will be we'll get added laps so we should be okay in that respect but
00:31:09this is played beautifully into the hands of the likes of Oliver Rowland for Barnard for Evans
00:31:14anybody who's got two attack mode deployments are having a cracker whilst we now see the safety car
00:31:19will be coming in let's go down to Saunders in pit lane Saunders who've you got just want to give
00:31:26you a bit of an update because while that was all going on I saw Mitch Evans come into the pit and
00:31:29do a bit of a tyre change so I guess there maybe was a puncture from that little coming together
00:31:33that we saw on the screen a little while ago but yeah he's back out on track but that explains why
00:31:37he's dropped down the order in case you're wondering yeah thanks Saunders that was going
00:31:41to be my next point actually Mitch Evans down in 18th position then so uh he's got a bit of
00:31:45work to do thankfully the field now all bunched up I think um Muller was trying to get out of
00:31:52the way of his own shadow because there was no one directly behind him yeah well a shame there
00:31:56for Muller's weekend to end in the barrier as he has the long and lonely walk back to the pit lane
00:32:03and uh dive into the casino directly in front of him if he isn't lucky on track he might be
00:32:08lucky in there yeah well stick five euros on and see how you get on I don't think five euros will
00:32:12cut it um Friends is lost out here isn't he he's the one who was in attack mode for the safety car
00:32:20so he's the one who's uh lost out here so a virtual race engineer as we said Rowland's got an
00:32:25energy advantage he's been saving more than 0.2 percent per lap than the leader and he's still
00:32:30got two attack mode deployments so once again it is falling into the hands of Oliver Rowland quite
00:32:34nicely here but there's still half the race to go safety car then in at the end of this lap
00:32:39Jonerick Vernon is that will lead the field he now effectively becomes the pace setter as we look at
00:32:44and uh Tommaso Volpe inside the pit box green flag flies and the racing will resume here on
00:32:50the streets of Monte Carlo as they come out of Anthony Nogues and aim for the timing line so
00:32:55Vernon leads Rowland leads De Vries who's gonna get the jump down towards the first corner
00:32:59De Vries thinking about it yeah he had a great launch out of Anthony Nogues there didn't he but
00:33:03he's not quite close enough looking for Wemi trying for the inside line on Gunter nothing doing for
00:33:07him there though it's tricky isn't it on these first laps because you're trying to get the tires
00:33:13back up to temperature and you see Jonerick Vernon just trying to make a bit of a run for it
00:33:20Rowland I think will now wait a couple of laps to try and open up some sort of a gap to the field
00:33:26behind so he doesn't drop too many places when he goes to attack mode yeah exactly it's too bunched
00:33:31up oh look at this bunched up as well De Vries looking for the inside line on Rowland he knows
00:33:36that Nick De Vries and da Costa there being shuffled to the outside behind Sebastian Buemi
00:33:41Van Dorn's now on his outside coming in towards Fairmont keeping a watching brief on proceeding
00:33:45is Nick Cassidy and that is De Maloney in to bother as well three cars into one they just
00:33:50about make it through but at the expense of Edo Mortara who was right on the outside of that
00:33:55corner goodness me these action stations are plenty as you would expect on a restart race here
00:34:01but it's Vernon that leads the way we ride on board with Buemi as well he's got da Costa all over
00:34:07his gearbox at the moment well that's the great thing about these races in the first lap of the
00:34:13actual race everyone's being very polite very kind here we are at this restart it's starting
00:34:18to get a little bit more anxious a bit more contact and it just keeps building to a crescendo
00:34:23Cassidy and Hughes under investigation for a collision with one another didn't see what
00:34:27happened there but we'll keep an eye out already a five second penalty to Hughes so hopefully
00:34:31no more dramas coming the British driver's way through in towards Rascasse we go and Roland
00:34:38it's a bit of a precarious place here because he needs to deploy one of these attack modes
00:34:41at some point soon but does he try and attack on Verne or how does he play this one in terms
00:34:47of building up enough of a gap well Verne should keep him held back into the pack because then when
00:34:52he does go for attack he's likely to lose one or two places whilst he runs wide to go through the
00:34:58attack zone and I think that's exactly the game Verne's playing here because if you you've got to
00:35:05be careful I think there's there is a little bit of a dry line dryish line coming so um you know
00:35:12he can he can defend and just force Roland away from where the grip is so Roland again staying
00:35:18away from attack mode yeah he's visibly controlling the pace there Verne through the exit of
00:35:26Da Costa looking to the outside of Buemi he was trying to attack on Gunter this is going to turn
00:35:29for the inside line here for Da Costa nothing Buemi can do contact between them oh Buemi trying
00:35:34to firm it around the outside can he hold that I don't think so because Da Costa's not going to
00:35:38disappear but he can and does so brilliant driving between two of the most experienced racers in
00:35:45Formula E and at the sharp end of the field Verne continues to soak up the pressure of Oliver Roland
00:35:51as they blast through and into the tunnel Roland surely is going to have to try and have a look
00:35:57before too long but he's just not within striking distance at the moment oh look at that on the
00:36:02inside Buemi on Gunter gets it done lovely stuff from Sebastien Buemi into fourth yeah grateful
00:36:08there down the inside on the brakes and you know there's no no sort of wheel banging there wasn't
00:36:15it nice clean racing there yeah Roland trying to attack on Verne into the swimming pool chicane
00:36:20but can't find his way through let's have a look at Jean-Éric Vergne as we ride on board so directly
00:36:25behind into Portier what's the contact between them there was front ring wing meets rear you've
00:36:30got to love that you've got to love that there was a little witness mark on the nose of Oliver Roland's
00:36:36car going into today's race left over from yesterday's race so on to the start finish
00:36:43straight we go and Roland now starting to look a little bit anxious behind Jean-Éric Vergne here
00:36:48isn't he yeah I think he senses isn't it that he's worked out Jean-Éric Vergne's playing the game
00:36:53David just mentioned of backing Roland into the pack and Roland's got to do something here you
00:37:00know either he's got to get past or try and risk the attack and try and get it done that way let's
00:37:06see he's thinking about it just not a big enough gap to De Vries behind though yeah it's kind of
00:37:11causing a checkmate situation look at that Verne a bit slow out of Casino Square but again Roland
00:37:16he's in the really unfortunate position here he's trying to attack the driver behind but he can't be
00:37:20too aggressive because he's got Nick De Vries who's ready to pounce if the opportunity is there
00:37:26yeah great strategic racing fantastic isn't it so on board again with Roland's snap of
00:37:33oversteer through the entrance into Portier just feels like something's about to kick off
00:37:38it is yeah it's bubbling up really nicely this one into a fantastic crescendo but Roland
00:37:44can't hang about too long for these attack modes he's going to have to try and get this one done
00:37:47because if he doesn't he runs the risk of what we saw in Miami with drivers falling foul of attack
00:37:52mode misusage yeah I mean Roland is Verne is one of the smartest racers out there isn't he
00:38:00there is now a little bit of a gap you'd have to say between Buemi and Le Costa there is a gap there
00:38:06so if Roland were to take attack mode he dropped those two places but no more yeah I think Le Costa
00:38:13missed the effects of the chicane on that lap we just saw in the back of the camera shot
00:38:17so that may have meant that you know guilty boy stepped off the power a bit on the exit not to
00:38:23be seen to be gaining an advantage so at this pace Tom if he's going to do eight minutes he's
00:38:28looking at about we're nearly uh 150 per lap isn't it it's not long so five six laps
00:38:37so he can risk waiting on the lap 23 I think but that's a big risk yeah he's just so aware isn't he
00:38:53behind the steering wheel though Cassidy had gone for it he has yeah into attack mode then goes
00:38:57Oliver Roland when he emerges in front of Sebastian Buemi only lost one that's very very good news
00:39:02very very good news for him and now you would imagine that Nick De Vries is going to be a bit
00:39:06of a sitting duck just going back to my earlier point Cassidy was able to cycle through after that
00:39:10safety car into eighth place so he's looking pretty good here as well so if I was Nick I
00:39:14wouldn't over defend this because it's inevitable yeah and he doesn't want to lose his own overall
00:39:19track position so it's almost like okay you go and I'll just try and get my braces hooked around
00:39:25your rear wing so let's see how quickly Roland could dispatch of Nick De Vries through into the
00:39:30tunnel and look at how much traction and how much extra speed Roland has got over De Vries De Vries
00:39:35is going to try and defend it down in towards the Nouvelle Chicane side by side Roland can he get
00:39:38it stopped no takes the escape road runs on down at the Nouvelle Chicane De Vries is going to come
00:39:44back through and into second and Roland's going to do it all over again that's the first bit of
00:39:49impatience we've seen from Roland isn't it because he could have waited and done the move on the exit
00:39:54with the extra traction yeah well he's going to get it done on the start finish so we'll find out
00:39:59in time whether it was worth Nick putting up that robust defense he just pushed me on the curve
00:40:05completely yeah I don't get to track limits for that man he completely pushed me on the curve
00:40:12it was a robust defense for De Vries you have to say I think it was racing I think he just needs
00:40:16to phone his grandmother afterwards and tell his sob story to her he's got him at the end of this
00:40:21lap then so Adam Antony knows better traction and more power for Oliver Roland no match then
00:40:27for him and now what he needs to do is cycle ahead of Verne as quickly as he possibly can and
00:40:31look at how close the Britain is to Verne as we come up the rise of the hill into Casino Square
00:40:37and you would imagine that this is going to be a formality Verne's car sliding like a dog on a
00:40:42polished floor as he comes through the left-hander down through into the right De Vries goes in for
00:40:45his final attack though can he get ahead of Sebastian Buemi as we come down in towards
00:40:50Mirabeau this is risky this is risky defending he's going to try and switch it back to the inside
00:40:55line but thinks better of it can he dive to the inside of Fairmont no not quite at the moment
00:41:01he's got enough attack mode oh De Vries there almost into the back of Buemi as well so
00:41:05uh De Vries was not able to retain third position ahead of the Envision great defending from John
00:41:11Eric Verne yeah Roland had a little slide there actually at the second part of 48 into the tunnel
00:41:16is riding on board with De Vries so watch this is the move for the lead coming up so out of the
00:41:21tunnel we go then side by side Roland to the outside against Verne can he make it stick this
00:41:25time to the Eubel chicane this is brave it's bold it's off onto the escape road and over the curve
00:41:30there's no room there for Roland to go through side by side but he was alongside Verne and now
00:41:35they still run side by side here comes De Vries two places in one corner down into the back fantastic
00:41:41but he runs it wide he's onto the wall on the outside and Verne now side by side are making
00:41:45contact with the Dutchman as well look as well at Buemi trying to find his way through too
00:41:50yeah but Roland has to give the place back to Verne he did and then it's all kicked off after
00:41:55that I don't know if he did I don't think he did because I think De Vries passed both of them
00:42:01but I don't think Roland was behind Verne he's got to get through one at least one corner I think
00:42:06behind so um I think Roland might be in trouble for that well the stewards will be taking a look
00:42:11at it Roland with 45 seconds left of attack mode it's crucial for him that he's in the lead of
00:42:16this one the disadvantage he's got is that De Vries has managed to get himself up through an
00:42:19intersecond and he's got two more minutes of attack mode remaining at this point so De Vries
00:42:23also needs to try and get the better of Roland as quickly as he possibly can there's one thing for
00:42:29sure uh Oliver was asking for a very compliant Verne trying to go around the outside Verne is
00:42:34always going to go from apex to apex leaving him with no room yeah I uh I was surprised that because
00:42:41he tried the outside move didn't he before with De Vries and that nearly put him in the wall
00:42:46I was surprised he went for it again I now have a doubt in my mind as to whether he did get the
00:42:51place back so hopefully he can get a little replay of that yeah I'm waiting to see
00:42:58yeah I mean is it none of us want the decisions made by the stewards to affect the end result but
00:43:05in this case I think Oliver might be in trouble but look De Vries is going for the move here he
00:43:09is in attack mode he's going for the move yeah he's going to be uh in trouble here is Oliver
00:43:13Roland down into the chicane can't quite make it stick through to there but he'll have great
00:43:16attraction on the exit and maybe can set something up into to back this is going to be slightly
00:43:20easy pickings then for Nick De Vries as he now hits the front for Mahindra
00:43:24on lap 20 so De Vries in front now he needs to build out a gap as quickly as he possibly can
00:43:29he's widened over the chicane just about manages to keep it facing on the straight and narrow he
00:43:35is really pushing on here Nick De Vries and he needs to build an advantage over Oliver Roland
00:43:40if he is going to win this E3 that was like drift championship spectacular there I wonder if Roland's
00:43:46thinking he's just going to try and pull a five second gap on no choice now has he other than to
00:43:51go you know he's got two what's he got now two points three two seconds over Buemi but yeah
00:44:00Buemi's just cycled through ahead of him let's have another look then down to the chicane so
00:44:05he's in the optimistic position here now yeah yeah and then yeah was John Erics always going
00:44:10to drive it to the apex kind of it's a corner now no you don't
00:44:19like that he's behind the curve yeah so now he knows he has to try and back out of it it looks
00:44:24like he's thinking about it and then as he's doing that De Vries comes up the inside so you're right
00:44:29he didn't actually give the place back and then De Vries runs wide so maybe Roland now should go
00:44:35take his second attack and try and see if he can open out that window little road all kicked off
00:44:41though on the exit of the corner in particular Nick De Vries really making hay whilst the sun
00:44:45shines two places in one corner exactly I think Jeff made a slight mistake coming off the corner
00:44:50as De Vries was coming past him so it kind of meant that Roland was slowing down to allow him
00:44:56pass but he wasn't there well he's in front of Roland Buemi has got the better of Roland here in
00:45:00that attack mode deployment worked like quite nicely then for Sebastian Buemi he's got a minute
00:45:07and 29 remaining then here that's the old hands so the key is in this minute and 20 seconds to go
00:45:14which is less than a lap at current pace can Buemi take the lead from De Vries because this will be
00:45:19the win this this will be for track position of who's going to lead this race in the next eight
00:45:24laps so watch this watch Buemi he's got one minute to try and get ahead of Nick De Vries here for
00:45:30potentially the win just catching him is it a bit too late or can he get it done here on
00:45:35the start finish yes he can yeah pulls alongside Nick De Vries defending that position with
00:45:40every ounce of talent and experience that he's got into the first corner and Buemi with great
00:45:46attraction on the exit of the turn and now he goes through and into the lead Sebastian Buemi
00:45:50leads the Monaco E3 for Envision 40 seconds left of attack mode then here as well he's
00:45:56got to drive the next few corners of his life coming through into the next few sectors does
00:46:01Roland go for attack he does yeah Roland into his final attack mode deployment he has no choice now
00:46:06because he can see these top two scampering away in front here and if Roland has got a chance of
00:46:12trying to do this then he needs to catch up onto the back of the top two yeah you've got three
00:46:17world champions in the top four places Roland the outlier but the current world championship
00:46:23leader of course so let's see what he can do he's gone for a slight offset hasn't he oh he's in
00:46:27trouble there he's given the place back yeah that is good thinking from Oliver Roland got the attack
00:46:32mode given the place back won't get a penalty and now should be able to get in front he really is
00:46:38a tactical master isn't he i would love to know whether there was any radio interaction between
00:46:43him and the team but he's just walked that one out himself this now completely plays into the
00:46:49hands of Buemi even though we've got uh Roland with that tackle or Cassidy going through on Gunther
00:46:55there as well as Pascal Verlage picking his pocket so the DS-Pensi driver goes down into seventh
00:47:01yeah watch Cassidy because he could come into play here he's gonna have attack mode for an extra two
00:47:07minutes over Byrne so if we assume Roland will now outrank Byrne down the south finish straight
00:47:13with with the forward oh no actually Byrne's still got a yellow sorry down at turn 13 as well that's
00:47:18at the swimming pool chicane uh properly for Debris by the looks of things according to our driver map
00:47:22in the commentary box doesn't look like anyone's come to a stop at the moment we'll wait and see
00:47:26what's gone on there if it's a big bit of debris we might get a full course yellow if it's worse
00:47:31than that it could be a safety car the upshot is Roland with two minutes of attack mode left
00:47:35now and he's given that place back to Sebastian Buemi but you can see the top two Buemi and
00:47:39Debris have scampered away at the sharp end of this one and experience of Buemi is coming right
00:47:46into play here yeah Buemi checked out hasn't he no doubt you can see this is a great opportunity
00:47:51for him okay mate we need to give a position back to Jeff yeah so this must have been the earlier
00:47:58radio message we heard so right Byrne has copped Debris now Byrne has only got on 15 seconds of
00:48:07attack mode which is basically the run to the chicane this is it this is his chance to try and
00:48:11get it so out of Portier we go into the tunnel and look at this fantastic racing action then here
00:48:18between Byrne and Roland as we come through into the chicane there's your race leader Sebastian
00:48:23Buemi two seconds down the road is Nick Debris but Byrne all over the back of the Mahindra driver
00:48:29okay let's keep the fence clean yeah here goes Roland now so he's the one in attack mode Byrne
00:48:35is out Byrne is out of attack mode watch this this is on board with Nick Cassidy the Kiwi now behind
00:48:40Byrne and he's got Da Costa behind him so De Vries and Byrne could be under pressure from all three of
00:48:46these cars here yeah Cassidy as well also actively in attack mode as well as Da Costa directly behind
00:48:53the Kiwi you see the telltale signs of some previous contact on his nose there he'll be
00:48:59getting his toes nicely chilled here we go here comes Cassidy past Byrne has Roland got De Vries
00:49:06as well that's what we want to see and he has so Roland now up in the second place but 3.9 seconds
00:49:12to Buemi I think that's going to be a struggle so Buemi and Envision who by the way are last in the
00:49:18Constructor and the team's championship they are on course for the victory here yeah he won't quite
00:49:23get another lap of attack but he'll certainly eat a good second and a bit out of that lead
00:49:27well the last time that Envision won a race was the final weekend of the season in London 2023
00:49:32as Cassidy's looking for the move on the inside of De Vries down into Mirabeau there was a gap there
00:49:37it was aggressive from Cassidy and he made it stick he's up through and now ahead of De Vries into
00:49:42third place and Da Costa's got De Vries as well yeah so Da Costa making a move and De Vries a bit
00:49:47of a sitting duck now seemingly in the latter stage of this race and Cassidy's also got a bit
00:49:51more energy to expense so he saved energy in the opening stages of this one and I wonder whether
00:49:56that will allow him to push on in the final five laps of this race yeah the track's drying up isn't
00:50:01it at the pace now down to the 1.39s so if you consider we started the race up at the 1.55s
00:50:07team ready for Cassidy beautiful mate beautiful yeah you know we're now going 15 seconds a lap
00:50:15quicker but Cassidy he's not quite got enough to get rolling here is he so yeah he's about to run
00:50:22out and that's it so I think just looking at the timing board now everyone down until Jake Hughes
00:50:31in 16th they've all used their to their two attack mods yeah so we come through into the final corner
00:50:38Buemi still leads the race Roland though is catching him this is going to be an out-and-out
00:50:43scrap with four laps now remaining here on the streets of Monte Carlo Buemi versus Roland for
00:50:48the win Envision haven't won a race since 2023 Buemi hasn't won a race since 2019 that was back
00:50:54in New York City in Gen 2 so this would be a very welcome return to the top step of the podium for
00:51:00the Swiss driver can Roland though do anything about it in the closing stages of this one further
00:51:05down the order Gunther under pressure here from Jake Dennis as he comes up over the top of the
00:51:10hill will the British driver be able to challenge him for eighth place and this is proving to be
00:51:16a fantastic bit of driving here for Buemi okay so they are out of attack three seconds behind
00:51:23six laps remaining all cars in the top 10 have activated the tach and what an unexpected set
00:51:29of circumstances this would be for Sebastian Buemi certainly if you'd had a couple of quid on
00:51:33this in the casino you'd be laughing at the moment let's see whether you will be at the end of the
00:51:37race let's have a look at the move he made on Oliver Roland out of 48 he's in attack mode he's got
00:51:41four-wheel drive traction he got the move done on the exit of the corner then he managed to dispatch
00:51:45Nick de Vries at Saint-Denis
00:51:50lovely bit of driving there for Sebastian Buemi and that just goes to show how experience really
00:51:54matters in races like this Karun yeah I mean the race went away from Roland really when he went
00:52:00across the chicane there that defense and and didn't give the place back up immediately well
00:52:05could it because de Vries was going at him so uh it's a bit tricky I mean Cassidy's obviously got
00:52:09six percent more energy but we're not going to be energy limited here because they've only got
00:52:14four laps to go and they can use as much as they want so that normally the energy would be a
00:52:21critical part of this phase of the race today because of the wet conditions it's not so
00:52:26don't worry about that it's a straight race in terms of speed
00:52:29okay that's currently P3 main P3 there's no one around in attack no one around in attack we are
00:52:33good on energy quite incredibly this will be a first podium of the season for Nick Cassidy his
00:52:39best finish to date was fifth position and other than that he has not had a single points finish
00:52:45it's not been a particularly brilliant start to his season and it would be a very welcome sight
00:52:50but he has got his mirrors full of Antonio Felix da Costa who's trying to salvage something for
00:52:54Tag Heuer-Porsche fourth place for da Costa at the moment but he's all over the back of the
00:53:01Jaguar driver threw into the hairpin not close enough to launch an attack at the moment but
00:53:08see whether he is going to be able to challenge the fort too long because da Costa last time
00:53:13around was about four tenths of a second quicker than Nick Cassidy incidentally Buemi personal
00:53:19best lap time a 1.40 flat that was a second faster than Oliver Rowland so that gap has now increased up to
00:53:24four and a half seconds at the sharp end of this one with three laps now remaining
00:53:30the three drivers no sale in here coming out of the chicane and in towards Tabac
00:53:35and you wonder if da Costa is going to be able to have a nibble at this podium place to salvage
00:53:40something other than a disappointing weekend really for Porsche by their standards yeah
00:53:46I mean they've at least got two cars in the points and that's something that oh they did well at the moment they got two cars in the points
00:53:54da Costa was quite close to having a something to say about that yeah it's not so very close team radio
00:54:01you have fastest lap as well good job so we do then get one added lap after that safety car
00:54:09earlier on in the race as well as the full course yellow and it does mean it turns from a 20-second
00:54:14lap or exactly the same as we had yesterday for round six incidentally but now on board with da Costa snap of oversteer coming up
00:54:20over the rise he is really beginning to push on lap times have stabilized a little bit between Cassidy
00:54:25and da Costa pretty even between them last time around
00:54:30coming down the hill Cassidy taking a defensive line trying to force da Costa to take the long way
00:54:35around the outside you get the sense don't you that da Costa's got a lot of pace here
00:54:39and he's kind of stuck look at the dry line the track is really drying up there at the hairpin but
00:54:45that's part of the challenge right is the dry line is one line with it all been going around and around
00:54:50so to overtake you have to go on the wet part of the track uh and that is the challenge
00:54:54just seeing that Barnard, Maloney, Tickton have been given a five second time penalty respectively
00:54:58for the track limits in this race they're all a bit further down the order look at da Costa
00:55:02looking for a move on the inside he's locked up he's locked up he's into the back of Cassidy
00:55:06Cassidy parks the car on the apex da Costa can't find a way through
00:55:11into the back and Cassidy now on the defensive once again da Costa looking to try and challenge
00:55:17and you wonder how long it'll be oh he's just over the curb there a little bit greedy through
00:55:21the swimming pool such are the joys of this Monaco circuit you can't park your car on the inside
00:55:27greedy through the swimming pool such are the joys of this Monaco circuit you can't park your car in
00:55:32the wrong place especially when you've only got one one-line circuit like we have with this drying
00:55:37track here da Costa I know he wants to get past but he's it's looking quite edgy isn't it you just
00:55:44just need to make sure we get to the end because actually fourth will be a decent haul of points and
00:55:49let's not forget he is a title contender along with his teammate Pascal Wehrlein here
00:55:55so up through the right we go and uh he is still looking very menacing here as Antonio
00:56:00Finch da Costa seems like the second sector is the one where he's strong last time around by the way
00:56:05Sebastian Buemi's at the fastest lap of the race a 1.39.556 so though he's been told he's got
00:56:10comfortable margin over Oliver Roland the Swiss driver is not backing down on this one and he's
00:56:15continuing to pound in the lap and the sector times here yeah the track's flying up as well so
00:56:22the grips is coming and the lap time's coming and the battle for third and fourth rages on
00:56:28you can see actually you know they've kind of dropped the pace haven't they they've dropped
00:56:33the pace but nearly whoa da Costa oh that was a big slide into the second part of 48 but he
00:56:40caught it yeah it's really pushing the envelope then here is da Costa but look at the time it's
00:56:45cost him coming through into the tunnel meanwhile two laps to go for this man Sebastian Buemi
00:56:51separating him from his third win on the streets of Monte Carlo he won it back in the Gen 1 era of
00:56:562015 and also in 2017 when we had this as a biannual event on the formulary calendar that
00:57:01was on a slightly different layout and well the expression not giving much away Silvan Filippi
00:57:06probably will be down the casino playing poker with an expression like that after this race but
00:57:11i'm sure internally he'll be absolutely delighted if not quite apprehensive for the final two laps
00:57:16of this race it's been a pretty miserable 18 months on that team isn't it since they've won
00:57:21the team's championship in 23 23 they've had a rough ride and you know it's the circumstances
00:57:29the weather all of that has offered them an opportunity but they've seized it so far
00:57:34he's moving and they're braking copy copy will report da Costa not happy there with Cassidy's
00:57:40driving standards the gap though is up to over a second at the end of this race meanwhile further
00:57:45back down the order you can see here the two DS Penskis their race has come somewhat unraveled
00:57:50after being up the sharp end in the opening stages they've got Pascal Wehrlein opposed
00:57:54for company behind here has Jean-Eric Vergne the Stellantis car has definitely seen better
00:57:58in the wetter part of this race and as the tracks dried up they've not quite had the pace
00:58:03and it's the Porsches that have come come good really yeah it has been a difficult weekend for
00:58:10Porsche no doubt about it they've never won here on Monaco and they're not going to be doing so
00:58:13here today either yeah Gunther's under investigation for moving under braking and he's there
00:58:18just to the right of you in the back of shot now of behind Pascal Wehrlein and ahead of Jake Dennis
00:58:24so I assume Dennis has had a bit of a rant on the radio about that so through into the tunnel we go
00:58:30we come bursting into the daylight there Wehrlein again not close enough so the straight line speed
00:58:36of that Stellantis DS powered DS Penski is looking pretty handy Dennis all over Max Gunther as well
00:58:42like a cheap suit at the moment trying to find his way through for eighth position but again no
00:58:47way through for the season nine world champion at the moment Dennis looking really on the ragged
00:58:53edge of adhesion coming through that swim called chicane as Buemi begins the final lap of racing
00:58:58here in Monte Carlo for 2025 and what a weekend yeah to the end of it it will be for the Swiss
00:59:06driver here fastest laps coming in as the track continues to improve it dries out and this has
00:59:11been an absolute masterclass there is no substitute for experience especially in Formula E when we get
00:59:16races like this and uh Sebastian Buemi started this one uh eighth on the grid at the moment he
00:59:22is leading the way at the beginning of this final lap in commanding style yeah he used his attack
00:59:29modes wisely did he gained the track positions kept it clean when he needed to and cycled his way
00:59:36to the front and it's it's worked out very very well for him okay it's it's a comfortable gap
00:59:43nearly five seconds it's not often we see big gaps over the company is it certainly isn't
00:59:50we have fastest lap we have fastest lap no you don't you did it's just because of Da Costa hasn't
00:59:55it that's a team radio message uh there for Nick Cassidy and uh well Da Costa will be taking that
01:00:01extra point home for fastest lap then here but we head into the final sector with Sebastian Buemi
01:00:08and as a team that have had their back against the wall over the last 18 months since their
01:00:13championship for the teams back in 2023 and has not gone all their own way the only highlights
01:00:19really from season 10 were a couple of podiums back in Portland but now it is just a case of
01:00:25two more corners remaining for Sebastian Buemi separating him from Envision's first win since
01:00:30the final race of 2023 and Buemi's first win since 2019 and the Swiss driver wins on the streets of
01:00:38Monaco Buemi takes the chequered flag in commanding style from Oliver Rowlands Nick
01:00:43Cassidy will come home to take his first podium of the season in third place Da Costa over the
01:00:48line in fourth position a fantastic end to the race as well further down between Bernd, Berlein,
01:00:53Gunther, Dennis and also Van Dorn as they come to take the chequered flag nose to tail with one
01:00:58another and the relief for Sylvain Filippi that is the chequered flag we've won Monaco come on yes
01:01:11Sebastian Buemi wins the Monaco E-Prix for the third time he won it in 2015 he won it in 2017
01:01:18and he wins it again in 2025 Corrine let's catch up with him let's try and catch him Sebastian
01:01:24in the commentary box congratulations what a tricky race in those conditions for you
01:01:30yeah man can you hear me yep we can hear you yeah hard to believe just got to be lucky from
01:01:38time to time but today we had great pace great attack mode you know timing amazing
01:01:45three-time Monaco winner not bad yeah well much better than not bad and it's been a tough 18
01:01:52months for the team since you guys won the team's championship this must be a bit of a relief to
01:01:57have a another win now yeah i mean you know we've we've been through a lot uh so obviously to win
01:02:06now it's something incredible i think those guys deserves way more you know i i let them down quite
01:02:12a few times and now today to to win you know especially here it's something very special so
01:02:17yeah very thankful to them well congratulations and enjoy the celebrations tonight
01:02:25thank you
01:02:28Sebastian Buemi his third Monaco E-Prix win his first win on the full circuit here on the streets
01:02:35of Monte Carlo he's only taken three podium finishes incidentally since the end of 2020
01:02:39and that also gives him the outright record for all-time race wins in Formula E his 14th career
01:02:45victory this afternoon that's going to catapult him up the driver's championship
01:02:49and you can see what it means for Envision in the garage there as well absolutely superb
01:02:55this is for you guys so long so long for this thanks guys wow mate that is incredible
01:03:05well Buemi makes his way to the winner's circle for the first time since 2019 and relief on the
01:03:16faces of all at Envision after a turbulent 18 months only a couple of podiums really being
01:03:22their highlight and he will be delighted the team will be overjoyed Roland in second place as well
01:03:28more points for him extending his lead in the driver's championship and also Nick Cassidy on
01:03:33the right hand side there his first visit to the rostrum of the 2025 season as well we'll be
01:03:39catching up with all the drivers but it is Sebastian Buemi who is the king of Monaco here
01:03:44this weekend what a performance there is no substitute for experience form is temporary
01:03:51class is permanent and the cream has well and truly risen to the top Sebastian Buemi wins here
01:03:58in spectacular style
01:04:03there's his dad
01:04:07made it down to the podium
01:04:21by the way Dan Tickham got fastest lap on the last lap of the race
01:04:25incredible isn't it that's great for uh for Jaguar as well there of course the powertrain
01:04:29supplier for the Envision team and I make that their first win since Sao Paolo back in December
01:04:34so they'll be overjoyed with that one James Barkley and Sylvain Felipe just embracing
01:04:39down in pit lane a few moments ago and the celebrations will begin here Nick Cassidy
01:04:45big smile on the face of the Kiwi that will be again a big relief a double Jaguar podium that
01:04:50makes it then here in Monaco he's gone from 14th to the podium incredible really good use of an
01:04:57early attack mode there to get himself up the order so then celebrations to begin here in Monaco
01:05:10Sebastian Buemi takes victory here in the principality he stands on the top step of
01:05:17the podium for the first time since 2019 taking Envision's first win in 18 months as well
01:05:24and you can see what it means the relief for the Swiss driver there is Oliver Rowland
01:05:29he'll be disappointed to miss out on the win but second place let's catch up with the winner though
01:05:36Sebastian Buemi welcome back it's been a while
01:05:4078 races 2019 since your last victory no better place to do it around the streets of Monte Carlo
01:05:47yeah I mean you're right I thought it wouldn't I would never win again you know at some point so
01:05:52you know you need a bit of luck you need the right timing you need the right car
01:05:56the good team and today everything just clipped together so I'm
01:05:59I'm so happy I'm actually speechless because you know it's been it's been a long time
01:06:04uh well look this was a race today that would take experienced hands your strategy worked out
01:06:10absolutely perfectly difficult conditions going from wet into that dry line at the end
01:06:16I didn't see any mistakes were there any yeah no I mean it was obviously quite tricky at the
01:06:21beginning with the fighting with uh you know Antonio and and Max but in the end I think the
01:06:27the timing of the attack mode was good I was able to to make a gap and uh I was safe when when Ollie
01:06:33took his second one so uh you know I was able to read well where the track was drying up especially
01:06:37in turn three four there was lots of lap time to begin but you needed the confidence and uh yeah
01:06:42today I had it you now have more victories in Formula E than any other driver and this is your
01:06:47third victory I believe around the streets yeah I mean I thought that number would never change but
01:06:53it did today so I'm very proud well it did you were fantastic enjoy the podium ceremony thank you
01:06:59thank you a record-breaking 14th win of his Formula E career for Sebastian Buemi
01:07:05making it a fifth different winner different winner of season 11 here as well fantastic job
01:07:12from him he'll be absolutely delighted with that let's catch up with Oliver Rowland
01:07:15P2 in the championship but extends his lead at the top of the table
01:07:19on yesterday second today it seemed that you were in the hunt for the victory until that attempt
01:07:31to overtake at the chicane and you had to give the place back to John Eric Verne do you feel
01:07:37still happy with this result or are you kicking yourself you could have had the double victory
01:07:41no I think honestly um he obviously took his attack mode he knew I had more to do I think
01:07:46he was trying to back me into the pack so when I took it I lost quite a lot um but it was one of
01:07:51those things I knew the move was kind of on but not and he forced me off and these things are like
01:07:5750 50 so I think we took the safe approach gave the position back which cost me some time obviously
01:08:02getting stuck behind everybody but uh listen first and second here it doesn't get much better so I'm
01:08:07really really pleased it's been a great weekend for you you've consolidated that championship
01:08:11lead as well and the driver's championship yeah absolutely we just need to keep pushing
01:08:15obviously we got Tokyo next week um where I was really strong last year so hopefully we can have
01:08:19a real big push for that double header and then uh yeah keep pushing in the right direction
01:08:24congratulations thank you
01:08:28so Oliver Rowland then two podiums in two days the victory yesterday has to settle for being
01:08:33the bridesmaid here this afternoon but uh I dare say I'll be uh happy enough to go home from that
01:08:39one let's catch up with our third place man Nick Cassidy takes his first podium of season 11
01:08:46Nick Cassidy your first podium appearance this season you were clearly here on the podium last
01:08:53year but it's been a little bit of a drought at the beginning of this racing season it must feel
01:08:58very sweet today yeah it feels feels very very sweet um man I can't fault my guys you know it's
01:09:04been a an extremely tough start to the year it's no secret I've not been the happiest guy at times
01:09:08but uh this one feels like a big monkey off the shoulders and um yeah really proud of all the
01:09:13efforts I can almost see a smile breaking on your face it's a podium in Monaco no exactly I mean I
01:09:20dude on the inside I'm I'm jumping up and down I'm very very happy it doesn't get more special
01:09:25than here right and um obviously the last couple of years have been nice to us and it's super
01:09:29super special to carry that on well well congratulations we'll let you jump on the
01:09:33podium thank you cheers well as drivers make their way to the podium it is Sebastian Bremi
01:09:42who will be grinning from ear to ear he takes his third win in Monte Carlo what a special moment for
01:09:49him and the team I mean James Envision Racing up until this point only had 14 points this season
01:09:56to suddenly have another 25 in the bag is game-changing how did he do it the use of his
01:10:01attack mode just was perfect well Seb just seemed to come alive but even earlier on today in the in
01:10:06the group qualifying stage he was top of this his group and he just relished these conditions and he
01:10:11was amazing in the race where he found the pace from he just unleashed speed that we hadn't seen
01:10:16from him all season so brilliant to see him on the top step and Katie I mean Oliver Rowland we
01:10:21couldn't take our eyes off him because the battles he was having throughout the course of the race
01:10:26the play-stopping he had with John Eric Verne how how do you think he will reflect on today
01:10:31yeah I'm sure they'd like to see it from the outside because I know it always feels different
01:10:34when you're in that moment but there was quite a lot of battling going on at that time um he was
01:10:37obviously passed by Nick DeVries um in the moment of that as well so then I think there was some
01:10:42confusion as to whether to give the pace back or not and as he said it's a tough call it always
01:10:45feels 50-50 in those situations so uh yeah but another podium here it's fantastic yeah quite
01:10:51incredible and of course Nick Cassidy who qualified in 14th to be on the podium for the first time this
01:10:57season a massive result for him and Jaguar Racing now let's go back to Tom Brooks in commentary
01:11:03for the podium yeah thank you very much indeed Nikki so then the Monaco E-Prix podium for round
01:11:10seven here this weekend will be occupied by Nick Cassidy Oliver Rowland and Sebastian Buemi in
01:11:15ascending order the Nissan team they're a little bit disappointed to have missed out on a double
01:11:20victory here this weekend but nonetheless valuable points for them and Sebastian Buemi
01:11:27and Sylvain Philippe for Envision will be making their way on to the top steps
01:11:32there is Sylvain Philippe no doubt he's absolutely delighted
01:11:38what a turbulent 18 months it has been and what a way to return to form
01:11:42on the track that everybody wants to win on it's about the most animated I've seen
01:11:47and really as you say it must be relief that's such a tough time since uh they won the championship
01:11:55and uh yeah they're gonna jump aren't they from last in the championship in a vault a long way up
01:12:02Nick Cassidy scores 15 points there that's more than he had in the rest of the season combined
01:12:07actually and uh the lowest ever start for a podium finisher in Monaco as well 14th on the grid he was
01:12:14but this man here Sebastian Buemi his third win on the streets of Monte Carlo his 14th career victory
01:12:21breaking a new record in Formula E and taking Envision's first win since 2023 as well
01:12:30now time for the trophies to be presented on the rostrum
01:12:37Princess Charlene of Monaco awarding the winner's trophy to Sebastian Buemi
01:12:43fantastic job from Sebastian and that is his first full-time win on the full streets of Monaco because
01:12:49last time he won here was in 2017 and that was on the shortened layout which we used back in the Gen1 era
01:12:57now time for the medal to be presented as well a new initiative which began back in Miami
01:13:04so even more silverware for Buemi to take home
01:13:12now time for the second place trophy to be awarded
01:13:16and of course it is awarded to Oliver Rowland Mike Freese the CEO of Liberty Global presenting
01:13:24the second place trophy to him again extending his lead in the drivers championship is Oliver
01:13:31Rowland after this weekend and Alejandro Agag co-founder of Formula E and the chairman
01:13:37presents the third place trophy to Nick Cassidy his first podium
01:13:41of the 2025 season he'll be delighted with that it'll mean a lot for the Kiwi after such a
01:13:49challenging beginning to his season 11 campaign and last but not least now time for the team's
01:13:55trophy to be presented to Sylvain Filippi of Envision Michael Bueri the Automobile Club
01:14:01Monte Carlo president here
01:14:09and now Sylvain Filippi able to hold that trophy aloft and the team celebrating
01:14:18here this afternoon they'll be able to enjoy a party in Monaco with the gala event taking
01:14:22place tonight but now it is time for the national anthems of the winning driver and team
01:15:22so
01:15:34Sebastian Buemi takes his
01:15:52so
01:16:02so
01:16:18wow
01:16:32wow a record-breaking the 14th career victory for Sebastian Buemi on the streets of Monte
01:16:39Carlo as the champagne shower now begins and the celebrations will go on long into the night
01:16:53so
01:16:58Sebastian Buemi his first win since 2019 Sylvain Filippi needs to get a spec savers for a new pair
01:17:04of readers after that one goodness me yeah there's nothing like champagne in your eye
01:17:11it's a confusing scenario because one hand you're delighted and the other hand
01:17:15you're in a whole world of pain well an amazing result and I'm sure he'll take the champagne
01:17:20shower with fantastic grace and dignity after their start to the season we'll get confirmation
01:17:28of that result but 14 wins in Formula E his third on the streets of Monaco for Sylvain sorry for
01:17:34Sebastian Buemi I beg your pardon and taking Sylvain Filippi and Envision's first win since 2023
01:17:43final race of the season back in London you could ask us back then when will Envision next win again
01:17:47it certainly wouldn't have been 18 months away yeah well you've got to be able to win it and this
01:17:53was a complicated race and experience played out certainly did Sebastian Buemi is the winner here
01:17:59in Monaco Oliver Rowland in second and Nick Cassidy his first visit to the podium in third position
01:18:04ahead of Antonio Finister-Costa I think Nick de Vries will be a bit disappointed with fifth after
01:18:08his performances in that race and DS Penske will also be a little bit miffed as well
01:18:12Tullo Revern in sixth position ahead of Wehrlein and then Maximilian Gunther in the second DS
01:18:17Dennis and Stoffel Van Doorn complete the points finishers in ninth and tenth place respectively
01:18:23incidentally the fastest lap of that race went to Dan Tichter but he was down in 15th place
01:18:27and on the escape road at one point a missed opportunity for the Briton also failing to score
01:18:32points ahead of Mortara, Norman Natto, Zane Maloney, Taylor Barnard, McLaren in general,
01:18:37Neil McLaren having a difficult day at the office in 16th and 20th position at the Czech and
01:18:42Flag and you can see five drivers getting penalties at the end of that race four track
01:18:46limits it was a busy one with two retirements including Nico Muller and Lucas di Grassi
01:18:52so what of the Drivers' Championship after seven rounds completed in season 11 it is Oliver Rowland
01:18:58who now extends his advantage in the Drivers' Championship over Antonio Finister-Costa 115
01:19:04points to the Costas 67, Wehrlein now down to third position courtesy of his lower points tally
01:19:10than his teammate here the Saab, now Taylor Barnard still clinging on there in fourth place but no
01:19:15points for him either, Gunther, Verne and Buemi all making profits in the Championship, Cassidy
01:19:21also moving quite far up the order he was 18th going into this race now moves up into 13th position
01:19:27a bunch of other drivers who failed to score all going down for the Drivers' Standings just two
01:19:32yet to get off the scoreboard including Maloney and David Beckman what about the Teams' Championship
01:19:39then well Tag Heuer-Porsche lead Nissan 133 points to 126 Mahindra still sit there in third position
01:19:47DS Penske with their double point tool this afternoon and Neil McLaren failing to score
01:19:51move themselves up into fourth place Jaguar also moving a position up the order as well
01:19:57as Envision and in terms of the Manufacturers' Championship it is still Nissan and Porsche
01:20:01who reign supreme at the sharp end, Jaguar courtesy of the points all scored by Sebastian
01:20:06Buemi here this afternoon move themselves up into third place also aided by Nick Cassidy's
01:20:12third place finish for the factory team Mahindra and Stellantis paying the price for that down
01:20:16in fourth and fifth place there respectively
01:20:18well Monaco certainly did not disappoint
01:20:28rain at the start of the race a wet qualifying session jumbled up the order and it gave an
01:20:34opportunity for a lot of drivers and what a weekend's worth of racing we have had
01:20:48got the show i'll leave you all the memories and go i'ma go two hours conversation
