00:00As Australia's football season winds down,
00:05Teltorians were gearing up for two nail-biting encounters in the tropics.
00:11This is awesome to see such a high quality of game come to Darwin.
00:14It's good for the younger generation too to see what it's like to get to a top league level.
00:20Four early clubs heading north for the Australia Cup competition.
00:25The crucial games see the winners move into the round of 32.
00:29It's a must-win game, so we're really going to stick to the game plan and going to execute.
00:35After a tough regular season, the teams involved were looking for redemption.
00:39The performances have been up and down, so hopefully we can build on the last one that we had,
00:44which obviously saw us win 2-0 away to Wellington, which should give us some confidence going into this game.
00:50We know it's been a disappointing season for us, so we want to finish on a high.
00:54Of course, we put a big emphasis on the Cup and we want to progress in it,
00:59so we'll be going all out to win this game, you know, the boys are up for it.
01:04The Australia Cup is a national knockout tournament and gives regional areas the chance to watch top-level football in their own towns and cities.
01:14It's really important for us as an organisation that we're ensuring that it's not just the big cities that get access to that,
01:19that the whole of Australia gets to access football and grow participation in the game regionally, remotely, cities, wherever it is.
01:27People of Darwin love their sport, but there are currently no teams representing the territory on a national level.
01:34Could events like this hope change that?
01:37Hopefully inspire people over here to play the game or to support the game and, you know,
01:42give something back to a community up here which, like you said, doesn't get to see too many things like the A-League.
01:49The world's game, making a mark in the regions.
