LONGER VERSION: Mum, 62, does backflip off 10-metre diving board in lifetime first

A 62-year-old woman has stunned her family by performing a backflip off a 10-metre diving board—after just three training sessions.

Karen Ali, now 64, trained with her son Osama, 24, a cliff diver and content creator.

Despite her fears, Karen committed to the leap in Trofaiach, Austria, with Osama capturing the moment on video.

She later joined him in North Carolina, where she completed her first cliff dive from seven metres.

Osama said he was “so proud” of his mum, who used to fear travelling even short distances, for pushing past her comfort zone.
