00:00How can we get back on the right track?
00:09Any time you get to talk about Chris Farley is a good day, man.
00:12Well, my, the frickin' dog.
00:18Funniest guy I am.
00:19He's nuts, nuts.
00:20When I walked through Chicago with him, oh my God, there's Chris Farley, there's Chris Farley, there's Chris Farley.
00:25Everybody cries for this, right?
00:27Don't give up Richard's natural ability, it's just natural.
00:33I haven't had sex with a woman.
00:35I don't know how that works.
00:37Make like an egg and beat it.
00:40And he was infectious, and he was kind, and he was a puppy dog.
00:44He was this boy that wanted to do good, but then there was this other side of him.
00:49So his whole life was this constant battle.
00:51Success in show business does not always create the best version of people.
00:56And also thinking that you have the physical capacity to handle it.
00:59Because, you know, you may think that you can handle it.
01:01It's not going to change the man with the same old Chris.
01:03Nothing's going to happen here.
01:05It's a tough thing to deal with that kind of fame when you're that famous.
01:08And if it happens fast, it's almost lethal.
01:12You can't walk around being funny all the time.
01:14You have to be yourself sometimes, and you have to be alone sometimes.
01:17But you don't die at 33.
01:19It doesn't happen.
01:20It comes up in something in my mind every day.
01:23And I think it will forever.
01:25The poor world only got to see this part of the iceberg that is Chris.
01:30It may not be Ken doll, but it comes together and it's extremely attractive.
01:35This is the physicality.
01:36You saw his quality as an actor there.
01:38You know, when everybody's decided who's the funniest, you go, Farley was the funniest.
01:42Our generation was into him.
01:44And Chris just stops and he turns me right at the edge of the curtains and goes,
01:47this is what we're going to do for the rest of our lives.
01:51There's a category of people that I work with that are infuriatingly talented.
01:56As long as they're in this world, I think you always recognize whatever it is when you see it.
02:02You're always drawn to that.
