00:52talked about the pressures of fighting at home for guys like Jukumbaev for Kane
00:57Gardner he was talking about the opposite coming up in the the British
01:01small hall system you're tasked with selling tickets in order to get on shows
01:05often you're worried about who needs tickets he said I don't have to worry
01:09about any of that tonight I just get on the plane and I worry about fighting well
01:13there you go a lot of guys are road warriors the great road warriors and
01:18they know they like a lot of guys like fighting better on the road for that
01:21reason you don't have to worry about the hometown crowd selling tickets they just
01:26have to worry about fighting put on the best show possible
01:30Jukumbaev a southpaw pressure fighter lots of volumes well just obviously you know
01:37Gardner standing right in front of him he doesn't he's not worried about his power
01:41at this point and he's you know he's willing to take a couple shots to test it
01:45Gardner's been involved in some terrific fights again in the central area central area title type
01:58level regional level again but but here you know he's walking him down just
02:06systematically touching him with the punches nothing heavy now turkey there you
02:11go a few more heavy punches touching him with the punches as you've noticed
02:15Cory what do you notice a lot of cosmic fighters fight for the southpaw stance now
02:20that everyone's a southpaw obviously but I think they see the advantages of the
02:24fighting from the southpaw stance so a lot of them are taught that in their
02:28system yeah putting the power hand out front correct correct you see some
02:34legendary fighters like Oscar de la Hoya like Miguel Cotto adapt their style the
02:39other way I was a I'm a converted southpaw my six amateur fight my trainer to
02:46convert to me so look nobody's gonna want to fight a southpaw especially one who can
02:49punch and that's and that's why I got more use out of my left hand
02:56Marvin Hagler was converted he was an orthodox fighter to convert him to southpaw so he get

09:09That's what you want to do as a fighter.
09:11So I admire that about Gardner.
09:13But if you want to get to the next level, you've got to let your hands go.
09:17You know you're fighting in the back yard, so you've got to give a chance every opportunity to win, and that's by letting your hands go.
09:24You can't keep letting Zhukovayev come forward without getting in the opposition.
09:30I know he's trying to counterpunch, but you've got to do more than that right now.
09:34Well, if you're in a position like this, Ray, if you're Zhukovayev, you're in there with someone like Gardner, who to this point isn't opening up a lot.

22:17but Djukombojev just thinks a lot faster.
