During a State Department press briefing on Tuesday, spokesperson Tammy Bruce was asked about diplomatic talks between the Houthis and the United States.

00:06And the second one, is there any connection between the Houthi ceasefire and your diplomatic

00:10engagement with Iran?

00:15You know, this is the Houthi dynamic and other things that are unfolding.

00:18We have news every day, fortunately, much good news.

00:23And this has been a commitment from day one, right, from the moment and before, certainly

00:28back to his first term, what President Trump has been interested in.

00:32So while we have we're going to have all kinds of things that might happen at the same time,

00:37it's important to not conflate them, that we have results of things that have been worked

00:41on for weeks and months that are now coming to fruition.

00:46Also the president's interest in, as an example, the aid to Gaza and his personal involvement

00:52and commitment to having that get resolved is something that does make things move faster

00:58faster.

00:59But everything his administration does is fast moving.

01:02So I would say that is to be cautious in the fact that we're looking at the development

01:08of things that are important but have been in the works for a long time and are not tied

01:15to a certain development or linked to one thing or another.

01:19But you're going to have things happen at the same time when you've got a singular region,

01:24multiple issues happening, multiple negotiations, multiple efforts for ceasefires, inevitably

01:30things are going to happen simultaneously.

01:32But I think that that is the result of the kind of work that we've been engaged in for

01:38weeks now.

01:40And so that's – I mean, that's all I can say about that.

01:41What about the Iran – the meetings with Iranian this Sunday?

01:52I have no specifics for you about what is occurring.
