00:06unanimous consent to address the House and to revise and extend my remarks.

00:11The gentlewoman is recognized for one minute. Mr. Speaker, Donald Trump says that he isn't sure

00:21if he needs to uphold the Constitution. And it's clear to all of us from his attacks on the courts

00:29the rule of law, our democratic institutions, our civil and legal rights, an open and free press,

00:39the dismantling of federal agencies, and attacks on our communities that indeed he does not know

00:47what his constitutional duties are. So I have to say, Mr. Speaker, we are a nation of laws,

00:56a nation governed by a constitution of the people by the people, and Donald Trump and his administration

01:04are not above the law. We will hold them to account. And that is why we are here every day,

01:13fighting back, pushing back, and defending our democracy and the rights of the American people.
