19:05Judge James Beckner handed down the decision today in a Greenville courtroom to the disappointment of defense attorneys.

29:40And I'm Amy Caulfield.

29:41The six people accused of murdering three members of an East Tennessee family will be tried together, not separately, as their lawyers wanted.

29:48The decision was handed down today in a Greene County courtroom.

29:51Judge James Beckner also listened to statements from officials who came into contact with the suspects after their arrest.

29:57Eyewitness News reporter A.J. Sterling was in the courtroom today and has more on the proceedings.

30:03It was a long day for Judge James Beckner.

30:06This morning, he overruled severance motions of the six young Kentuckians accused of murdering three members of the Lilliland family this April.

30:14This means the six will stand trial together on charges against them.

30:18Trying all six defendants together is a huge burden for this judge particularly.

30:23It would be a lot easier to try one defendant at a time, but I think it's impossible.

30:35Crystal Sturgill, Natasha Cornett, Joseph Reisner, Jason Bryant, and Karen Howell could face the death penalty if convicted.

30:44Dean Mullins made an agreement that would keep him off death row if it's proven he was not the shooter.

30:49The attorneys for all six are trying to keep out damaging statements that could hurt their cases, like comments made by Jason Bryant to paramedics.

30:57The patient stated that he was only defending himself, and that's why he shot back.

31:03Bryant also stated to Ortega he did not want to return to Tennessee because he knew what he would possibly face.

31:09He knew he was going to fry an electric chair.

31:11Judge Beckner listened to testimony from TBI agent Barry Brake.
