00:02The Torah's five books hold incredible stories and lessons.

00:06Let's explore them.

00:07The Torah is the first part of the Hebrew Bible and contains five books,

00:11each with its own unique story.

00:14Known as the Pentateuch to Christians and the written Torah in Rabbinic Judaism,

00:19it's a treasure trove of wisdom.

00:21First up, Genesis, or Birrashit, which means in the beginning,

00:25it's all about creation and the early stories of humanity.

00:28Next, Exodus, or Shammut, meaning names.

00:32It tells the tale of the Israelites' escape from Egypt.

00:35Then we have Leviticus, or Vayikra, and he called.

00:38It's packed with laws and priestly rituals.

00:41Numbers, or Bomidbar, in the desert,

00:44chronicling the Israelites' wanderings through the wilderness.

00:47Finally, Deuteronomy, or Devarim, which means words.

00:50It's Moses' final speeches and a reminder of the laws.

00:54Each book is a piece of history and a lesson in itself.
