00:00and both play today for Liverpool. David James of course gets his big chance in goal today with
00:07Grobbler being away and good news for Liverpool fans Steve McManaman's fit enough to earn a place
00:12on the bench today. Liverpool still missing some big names though John Barnes, Jan Mulvey to name
00:17a few but they're beginning to look more like themselves and that of course certainly was given
00:22the opportunity to take on David James. I think the big lad would be quite happy to see that one go away
00:33but it really did open for Roy Keane who I don't think is listening to the forest management.
00:36In comes Clough, David James is there again and again from Clough, a triple save, what a way to start
00:43a lead career with Liverpool. Oh that's brilliant, absolutely brilliant, Roy Keane again.
00:52Spoke about him before the game about he loves to get forward and he certainly started the season off
00:58with a bang but look at that big man, he couldn't have wished for more in his debut in the Premier League.
01:02Three saves within 10 seconds. Sometimes a difficulty when you've only one recognised centre half.
01:10Sheringham and Keane confused each other and Liverpool's defensive discipline to a lead. If anybody can make it happen it's Pearce and this is England colleague Mark Wright who had to step across and put himself into the line of that blast towards goal or maybe aimed across the front.
01:16Liverpool just have to hang on at the moment at the moment because
01:46Forrest really are firing in all cylinders. Typical Stuart Peer.
01:49He ran across towards the near post for Forrest, might have obscured the vision of the goalkeeper, might have made contact with the ball but neither of those things happened.
01:58It's a tip. It gets Roy Keane going in there and he's only fractions away from it. Could have had a hatch.
02:04He's easy, he's easy.
02:05He goes for goal!
02:07Oh!
02:10The first Premier League goal for Nottingham Forrest and it's a peach.
02:16Oh, it's an absolute beauty, a great individual goal but I just suggest once again, is it that hole again and either side that Liverpool are finding hard to cope with, having got a natural full-back in any way but again it comes from that type of area.
02:33There it is, the ball's played wide and no one's there. But watch Sheringham, he's got options on. He can take the easy way out and lay it across goal but he thinks I want to open my account and that's a fabulous finish.
02:46Well, Teddy Sheringham, it's no secret, was disappointed that a suggested move back to London with Tottenham didn't happen.
02:55He's been told to knuckle down and hide his disappointment. Well, he's certainly done that and more.
03:01David James reacted admirably.
03:04That's a brilliant save from the big goalkeeper, wasn't it? Great, typical...
03:09Oh!
03:10A whisker away!
03:12Well, that's Forrest, isn't it? Pressure, pressure, pressure for ten minutes and then they break away in Gary Crosby.
03:22It's ever so well here. Doesn't look like he's got anywhere to go. Gets a little break but where's this gonna go? It's going near post. That's Forrest.
03:30Back it comes out and Ian Wohan just can't get on the end of it.
03:34Herringham herring into the middle. It's over him but it's reached Wohan. Sheringham repositions.
03:40Be in that area.
03:43Tanner skims off his head. Keane will leave it for Wohan who's facing the play.
03:50And that's going to spin to the goalkeeper. And then behind.
04:00Roy Keane was absolutely short. And I must say that was an opinion shared by many here. But not by the referee.
04:18I know you, I know the referee only gets one. Goalkeepers committee. I mean I don't know. I can't see any dive there Martin. I really can't. I think Liverpool have got away with that.
04:33Here's Laws. Are they going to get away with this? What they do? But what was it? Could have ended all the anxieties for Forrest.
04:48Well that would have just topped off a wonderful display from Terry Shellingham. I get the impression he just loves the way that Forrest play away.
04:56He's got the whole run of the front line. And here he goes. Gets a little bit of luck. Breaks away from Mark Wright. And almost beats David James in his near post.
05:04Finish on a high here. Pinked in by Wohan. Looking for Keane.
05:12Liam Forrest have had a super Sunday of their own. The thumb up from the manager and from Teddy Shellingham.
05:21His goal providing a perfect package of three Premier League points. And Liverpool join Arsenal and Manchester United as famous callers on the...
05:33It's on me. I...
